When I went home, I rushed to my room and jumped onto my bed. "Urgh! What is this?!" I grumbled to myself. My heart palpitated wildly but I couldn't find the cause of it! Am I sick? What's wrong with me?!
While I was deep in thought, my phone rang. I picked up the call and asked,"Hello, May I ask who are you?"
"Hi dear Endellion! It's your favourite Uncle ~^w^ I just received some notifications from the school you are in. There will be a performing arts festival next week in your school. I found out that there is a very popular girl, named Hanah, that is going to take part in one of the mini competitions. I'm afraid she has chosen the wrong path to walk on and have made some wrong decisions. There is another girl, whose family has financial problems, who is also taking part in the competition. She's horribly talented and that made Hanah extremely jealous. Jealousy amongst girls can be very dangerous. I need you to stop Hanah from executing her plans to prevent that girl from participating in the competition. Thank you~ Oh yah, good job on your first assignment I gave you! I heard that you didn't accomplish it alone though~"Uncle snickered after saying his last sentence and when I was going to argue with him, he hung up.
After the phone call, he sent me a message. It said:
Do not forget to brush up on your violin skills! You'll need them to participate in the competition~
VIOLIN SKILLS? The last time I played the violin was when I was seven. That's eight years ago! Oh Gosh, how am I supposed to even take part in the competition when I have zero talent?! After a few minutes of panicking, I heard the door bell ring. I opened the door but there was no one to be seen. I looked down and then saw a mysterious brown vintage box that looked like it came from the eighteenth century. My mind told me to pick it up and so I abided. I opened the box with caution and there it was.
A violin made of rosewood, with gold strings and my initials on the side. Although the sight of the violin made me stare in awe and feel much better, I was so not looking forward to practicing the violin.
