6. First Day Of School? (1)

Haruki didn't stop attracting gazes as he entered the school. He strolled along very quickly, leaving very few to capture his full image.

Many students were intrigued by his looks and his sudden appearance.

"Have you seen him before?"

"I don't think so, but he looks like he could be a model."

Haruki could hear some of the hush whispers of the student as he walked by. They didn't make any sense to him.

'How could I be a model?'

He shook his head to get rid of this thought and entered his classroom.

A silence descended as he entered. Many eyes followed him as he found his empty seat.

"Good morning, Shu-san."

He greeted Shu (Nisekoi), his desk mate. Shu took a while before eventually responding.

"Good morning, Haruki-kun?"

Shu's response was more like a question. He wasn't sure if he had the right person. But when he noticed that Haruki didn't oppose his response, he was somewhat shocked.

He had never noticed that his classmate was so good-looking. Other people who were eavesdropping were shocked.

Haruki was a background character of sorts. Although he did greet people and had one or two people, he could call a friend, he never went out of his way to speak to people.

To think that he was actually so good looking!

"That's Takashi-kun!?"

"I must have been blind. How did I never notice him?"

"He's so cute!"

Haruki was somewhat overwhelmed by his classmates' reactions. He could hear their discussions which made him aware of why they were looking at him.

'I'm cute?'

This thought brought a blush to his face as he kept his head down. His bashful expression didn't decrease the volume of the whispers, it only increased them!

Thankfully, the class quickly filled up.

"Alright everyone, settle down."

The class quickly descended into silence as the homeroom teacher, Kyoko Nichihara, walked in.

"Today, we have a new transfer student. I hope you guys will give her a warm welcome."

The class's curiosity was piqued. It was weird for new students to transfer at this time of year.

"Come on in Kirisaki-san."

"Haii."

A girl with beautiful long blond hair and captivating blue eyes walked into the class. She was simply stunning, with a face that could be compared to a supermodel. Even Haruki found himself stunned by her beauty.

"Hello everyone. I'm Chitoge Kirisaki, and I transferred here from the US. I've got a Japanese mom and an American dad, so I'm biracial. But as you can see, I speak perfect Japanese, so please don't be shy about approaching me!"

The class burst into cheers as they admired the foreign beauty. Her presence seemed to lighten up the classroom.

"Alright Kirisaki-san, please take a seat over there."

Kyoko pointed to the seat next to Haruki. One of the few empty seats in the entire class.

Everyone's attention was drawn back to Haruki, and even Kyoko thought she had another new student.

Just as this happened, another voice echoed from the class.

"Oi, it's you!"

A teenager with messy black hair and deep blue eyes spoke out. He was Raku Ichijo.

He had been 'assaulted' by Chitoge on the way to school this morning. (I really don't wanna transcribe the whole scene.)

Raku and Chitoge began arguing about what had happened earlier. Their voices raised as neither wanted to yield.

"That's how you apologise? Why you... Monkey girl!"

"Who are you calling a monkey girl!?"

The class watched as Raku was punched across the classroom. Everyone was stunned by the events while Chitoge was embarrassed by her outburst.

Haruki was just glad that the attention was off of him as he thought about the next lesson.

"Calm down students. Take your seats so I can take register."

...

The first subject of the day was modern Japanese. His teacher was Hiratsuka Shizuka (Oregairu).

Haruki didn't like modern Japanese. But like everything else, he sucked it up and dealt with it. It helped that his teacher was incredibly beautiful.

Throughout the lesson, many students snuck glances at both Chitoge and Haruki. It couldn't be helped. They were both stunning!

Their captivating blue eyes seemed to draw everyone in. Their gentle smiles lingered in peoples' minds.

At one point in the lesson, Hiratsuka called upon Haruki to answer a question, and to her surprise, his response was very insightful.

The soft spoken manner he used to answer the question added to his allure.

The lesson eventually ended with Hiratsuka handing out homework to the class, much to their dissatisfaction.
