chapter 18:Fear

the sky was a dark shade of gray Hope academy was in ruins out of nowhere it started to rain there were small layers of ice around the school some of the students were battered in scars some were missing limbs while some were dead, alex's clothes were tattered blood slowly flowed from his head part of his left bicep muscle were gone there was just a bone ,there a figure clad in black was in front of Alex he had large horns with mysterious symbols on its body it was like it was wearing a suit of amour.

the figure created a bayonet it was covered in blood then it spoke "Fear the Unknown" it slashed at alex using the bayonets tip alex could not dodge it Luke jumped in at the last moment he held a pair of sickles they were connected by a chain he used the chain to parry the attack but it was to strong and it sent him back a few meters Marcela created a mist dome around Alex but the figure canceled it out Leo also tried to help but it was of no use

'how did it come to this' alex asked himself he thought back to an hour ago him and luke were about to fight against each other in a training match

luke pulled out two sickles they were connected by a chain "i don't have a weapon" alex said he had left his saber at home he did that because it would be pointless to bring it also the chances of the school being attacked was low because he had checked it out while he was walking to school luke went to a bin and grabbed a metal sword he threw it to Alex he grabbed it

"3....2..1." before Alex could react to luke he was right in front of him he didn't made a single sound then the chains clashed against each other Alex used this to switch places with lukes pair of sickles "Huh!' luke was in shock alex used this chance to launch an attack with his right hand but the leather glove had a separate idea it bursted into flames then it launched it self at luke point blank

Boom!

there was a large explosion alex's hand was still on fire he held his sword in his right hand but the sword melted away "damit" he said to himself "do i have to pay for the sword?" Alex asked himself Luke was okay there were no damage on him he brushed off himself then added"that was amazing ...guess like you are walking down the warrior pathway " there was a huge grin on his face "Pathway?" alex asked himself he then remembered what the professor had said a long time ago but back then he didn't care to much {pathways are like the color of one's core each color represents a different pathway each connected to a god i'm guessing that you knew a little about it but not that much, i guess like the memories that Madame Althea sealed held some information about pathways that you had guessed } Aries said as alex was about to walk forward he heard a sound

BUZZZ!!

it sounded like a hive of bees had appeared but he looked around and heard nothing

bam!

Alex felt a stinging attack against his face "what the hell" alex looked around but saw nothing he then looked to luke he was in a boxing posing he then threw three jabs at the air lighting flicked off of his hand

bam!

bam!

left ear the chin and the nose those were the places that he got hit "where are they coming from"

bam!

another attack it went for his solar plexus Alex was on the floor at that point his head felt like a buzz his head was ringing 'gah' 'dammit i can't see how he's attacking me i hear the sounds but i cant attack guess like this is one of the down sides

sound manipulation- it allows me to manipulate the very sound that's around me i can teleport to objects that makes a sound in front of me or i can just switch places with an object of choice that makes a sound but to be able to use this ability to its full power i have to be able to react to the sound, but in this case i cant because that dam attack is to fast' alex thought through the pain started to hear a humming voice it was calming him down then he felt his ether spread around his body like a shield alex got up then he heard it again

BUZZ!

but this time before it had reached him he felt it coming near him it was like the shiled that was around him had boosted his abiltes of senseing sound waves-the sound waves that are around him allows him to diectect anyone that has entered his field-the attack was coming from the back alex backflips to dodge the attack it was very effective lukes hand started to glow a bright blue lighting came out of it then he punched at the air alex looked in confusion

Vroom!

Buzz!

Buzz!

three attacks all heading for the same place the nose he felt it with the sound waves he swiftly moved out of the way' i see now ' alex focused on his right arm the flames were a blaze the ringing in his ears did not stop he felt his ether rushing all over throughout his body he pushed the ether to his right hand then he jabed at the air that jab went for luke's stomach it connected then exploded

'hahah i figured it out" alex yelled at the top of his throat he relaxed his body his head felt dizzy and his body felt like it was gonna collapse 'my ether ..i used it all up in that attack'

Boom

alex looked up the glass ceiling above was in pieces the glass shards fell to the ground Luke moved alex out of the way 'what the hell was that?" luke had alex in his arms "could you put me down?" luke looked at alex then gave him a baby look"Baby Alex want some milk?" alex went for a left hook to his jaw

the air grew heavy and the air was filled with a sense of fear and madness[watch out!] bell said Alex took awhile to react but there was a figure in front of him it had a bayonet in hand it used the tip to slash at alex but luke reacted in time to parry it but he was knocked back the force of the attack broke all of the glass that were around the entire arena was filled with glass shards lots of kids grew suspicious of the glass shards, they came over what they say was a seven feet tall black figure with horns and mysterious patterns on its body luke was on the floor a few meters away "Get away!" luke yelid out but the kids were stuck there in fear

"fear the unknown" the figure said it dashed towards the students then slashed at them with the baynote they were cut in half blood and guts poured out of a boys body a girl looked in shock she screamed but her face was then cut down the middle all of the students started screaming they ran for there life but the figure shot the baynote at the students, one of them got him it went through the girl shes stoped in her steps her body then exploded

"HAHAHAHAHA" the figure laughed as the academy was thrown into a frenzy the teachers tried to fight back one used as plant based attack but it was stopped the teacher was then split down the middle "Ahhhh" a teacher screamed but the screaming stopped as a hole went through the teachers mouth that teacher was the one that taught Alex, the school was in horror the figure just kept on with the attack alex asked himself "how i did a divination to see if the academy would get attacked today" alex said under his breath he slowly removed the rubble off of luke bell answers[ remember what i had said when we made that contract?] alex thought back to what he had said "it a low level ability" this broke alex inside a little he now knows that there are limitations to Divination

Alex help luke up but he was out of ether his body felt weak like he could fall over at any minute alex heard the breaking of the glass he looked to see who it was

"Are you ok?" leo and Aaliyah said in unsine "I'm fine but luke, not so well" alex said Aaliyah kneeled down then she took out a small piece of candy then stuffed it into Lukes mouth in a few seconds he was moving again Aaliyah ability has something to do with the love pathway Alex thought to himself he then asked " do you have any that can refill my ether?" alex asked Aaliyah then touched Alex's cheeks then she kissed it but this time it was different " i have shared some of my either with you " Aaliyah said before alex could speak he heard a

it was very close luke got up because of the noise leo threw something to Alex "my saber?" alex asked "why did you go through my stuff?" alex asked leo stood there thinking of an answer now's not the time for this" Aaliyah said luke chimed in "who are these people?" alex took awhile to answer then he said

"they are my friends"
