Coward

Arishem had returned back to Dorne after passing the portal of hell which Azazel had led him through.

Elena was just outside Arishem’s room therefore the moment Arishem arrived, she opened the door not expecting to see him there.

Elena ran towards her son and gave him a tight hug, she had been really worried about Arishem’s safety because she didn’t know what she would live for if ever anything happened to her son.

Levi who had been informed by Elena’s personal knight on Arishem’s safe return sent message to call back all the knights who had been sent outside the castle’s walls in search of his son.

He went into Arishem’s room and saw Elena hugging Arishem like her life depended on it. He couldn’t blame her, this son of their had scared them too much.

As soon as Elena left Arishem’s room, Levi decided to ask Arishem where he had been and Arishem replied saying,

“I went to the cave behind the castle father, I thought I heard the sound of shackles being dragged on the ground so I decided to just have a quick check, I didn’t know it would make you and mother worried”.

Levi nodded at what he said then asked

“Did you see who or what it was though?” but Arishem shook his head saying,

“Surprisingly, I found nothing “.

Levi already had the idea that Arishem had begun keeping secrets from him and most especially, lying smoothly without any emotions as though he was lying.

In Salgurish’s old shit hole, were the demons he created stood like lifeless beings, and the hellhounds looking nothing but bones due to lack of blood to feast on.

“Where is master Salgurish?, he brought the seal right, and he won Azazel, speak to me Terozat” spoke one of Salgurish’s most trusted demons, who looked like a fox, with the horns of a deer, this demon was named Nefs.

Terozat walked towards Nefs.

“Your master has been lured by the devil, which made him pledge loyalty” the countenance of Terozat was slowly changing to that of rage

“He fucking lost to Azazel!! “ screamed Terozat.

“Where is Salgurish now Terozat” asked Nefs.

“Oh of course he his in the home of his new master Azazel” replied Terozat

“Coward!” roared Nefs out of the rage he was feeling from Salgurish’s traitorous act.

Terozat knew all the codes to Salgurish’s emerald seal, so he had managed to make a new one in other to be able to control Salgurish’s creations.

It was that time of the year again, where snow had begun falling, windowsills were being constantly locked and the beauty of each unique snow drop decorating each roof. Winter was here for Dorne.

“Today is King Quince’s baby naming, the royal family of Krenon, and we will be going there to give our blessings, and perhaps stay for a day or two” said Elena, when Arishem had kept asking why they had to go to Krenon.

Arishem wasn’t asking because he was excited but because he knew Azazel wasn’t going to be happy when he found out that Levi and Elena were actually taking him out of Dorne, well he was very sure Azazel already knew, because he was always monitoring him from the eye.

The ride in carriage from Dorne to Serpy was a two days one so Levi and his family had to pay for an inn so that they could rest for the night and then continue their journey tomorrow.

“Good evening sir, how may I help you tonight?” asked the innkeeper who was at the counter, responsible for attending to customers.

“We need a room for the night” said Levi, the innkeeper saw that their dressings looked rich and plush so he tried to rip off them saying

“Why not two rooms young sir? We have available rooms for the night”.

Levi didn’t bother answering to the innkeeper’s questions but instead brought out his pouch full of gold, and then dropped three gold coins on the counter saying,

“This should be enough for a room tonight, I think” the innkeeper quickly collected the gold coins, and handed the keys of the room to Levi while also directing him.

Arishem also found something strange about the innkeeper, because he couldn’t penetrate his mind, then he concluded the man was not human because apart from demons, the next people who could lock their minds were witches and Arishem knew this man was one.

Back in hell, Azazel was furious because he knew the town Arishem was taken to by his parents was full of witches, posing in disguise to be humans but all along hunting demons at the same time.

Magnus could see that Azazel was really worried so he walked in front of his master saying,

“Master please if you are this worried, send me to earth and I will surely protect master Arishem”,

“Of course I know you will protect him considering how well you had protected him last time, and you both had ended up in Salgurish’s hell hole, with you almost being used for sacrifice” Azazel said with sarcasm dripping at the end of the words he had spoken.

Magnus knew he had done a bad job last time in protecting Arishem, instead it had ended up with him being be the one who was protected by Arishem.

“I will send you Magnus, just be careful because I think those witches are up to something” said Azazel and Magnus readily nodded his head and replied

“Yes master”, and with that he vanished to earth.

In Salgurish’s hell hole

Terozat made an announcement saying,

“Who is ready to volunteer and continue the mission which our master derailed from, who is ready to kill Azazel”, asked Terozat to all the demons who were gathered, and they all chorused

“We are ready master Terozat”.

Back at the inn, where Levi had boarded with his family, whispers could be heard inside a very dark corridor inside the inn.

“I am sure I saw him, he his the one” said the innkeeper.

“How sure are you that he is the one because from what I know, the devil couldn't produce offsprings” said a croaky voice beside the innkeeper.

“And if he is the one, then fire for sacrifice shall be prepared right away for this little demon” said the hideous creature with a slurring tongue and an half decayed face, beside the innkeeper.
