Five years later-
In the span of five years, much had transpired. After that fateful night, Archie had stayed by Evelyn's side, moving into her mansion and taking up residence in the room next to hers. He was her constant support, catering to her every need and craving during her pregnancy. To the outside world, Archie was the epitome of a perfect husband, and this led many of the clan leaders to press Evelyn about marriage and settling down. Initially, she deflected these suggestions by citing the recent murder of her family and the impossibility of considering marriage under such circumstances. Over time, she continued to brush off the topic with various other reasons.
Evelyn dedicated herself to bringing the Davis clan back to its former glory. Under her leadership, the clan regained its strength and influence. She made it a point to demonstrate her power periodically, reminding the other clans that Davis still had a formidable leader at its helm.
Archie was Evelyn's rock throughout her pregnancy, the one person she could trust implicitly. In the delivery room, she endured the excruciating pain alone, with no one to hold her hand. The experience was so harrowing that she vowed never to go through it again, preferring the idea of adoption for any future children to all women.
When she finally gave birth, she had twins: a boy and a girl. She asked Archie to name the boy, a gesture that touched him deeply. He named the boy Wyatt Davis, while Evelyn named her daughter Zoe Davis.
The clan leaders soon recognized the twins as the rightful heirs of the Davis clan. The fact that the children bore the Davis surname reassured them that the bloodline continued, and they resolved to protect Evelyn and her children from the dangerous world that surrounded them.
In a collective decision, the clan leaders agreed to keep the Deeps Island as their headquarters. However, until the twins grew older, they planned to return to the mainland and lead a low-profile life. This didn't mean abandoning their business endeavors; they would simply operate from the shadows from now on.
While other clan leaders managed their respective enterprises in place of James and Gade Davis, Evelyn and Archie stayed hidden, working together at his company. Despite remaining in the same city where Evelyn's family had once lived, Archie took Evelyn back to his mansion and urged her to keep a low profile, steering clear of her old home.

The sound of soft footsteps echoed through the grand hallways of Archie's mansion. The twins, Wyatt and Zoe, now four and half years old, played happily in the expansive garden, their laughter filling the air. Archie watched them from a distance, a protective smile on his face.
Evelyn stood beside him and suddenly yelled, startling Archie. "Wyatt, Zoe, come fast, kids! We still got classes to attend!"
Archie jumped, his heart racing. "God! Eve! Can you not shout in my ear? You scared me!"
"Well, I wouldn't have had to shout if you'd called them back in time! I asked you to bring the kids back to the hall for their classes, but here you are standing like a block!" Evelyn glared at her friend, exasperated. She could never understand how someone could be this gullible towards children, even after so many years. Archie still fell for the fake pouts of their kids.
Archie gave a sheepish smile and scratched his head guiltily. "Hehe, sorry. They just wanted five more minutes. I didn't think it would extend to this."
"Yeah, you never know," Evelyn shook her head in hopelessness.
Turning back to her kids, she shouted again, "Wyatt, Zoe! Come back here at once!"
This time, the kids wasted no time and ran back to their mother—technically behind Archie to save themselves.
Evelyn looked down at the children hiding behind Archie's legs. "Don't you guys have classes to attend? What were you doing out here?"
Both kids looked down at their feet, tugging on Archie's pants. "Daddy, help~" they sang in unison.
Archie crouched down to their level, smiling warmly. "Alright, little rascals, it's time to listen to your mom. You know she's right."
Wyatt pouted, "But we were having so much fun, Daddy!"
"I know, buddy," Archie said, ruffling Wyatt's hair. "But you also have to learn and grow. How about we promise to play more after your classes?"
Zoe looked up, her eyes wide. "Promise?"
"Promise," Archie affirmed, giving her a gentle pat on the head.
Evelyn's expression softened as she watched the exchange. She crouched down beside Archie, "You know, your Daddy's right. We'll have plenty of time to play later. But for now, we need to focus on learning."
The twins sighed but nodded in agreement. "Okay, Mommy," they said in unison.
"That's my good kids," Evelyn said, kissing each of their foreheads. "Now, let's get going." Saying that she picked Wyatt in her arms and Archie carried Zoe in his embrace.
As they walked back to the mansion, Archie glanced at Evelyn, a glint of amusement in his eyes. "You know, you scare me more than the kids sometimes."
Evelyn chuckled, nudging him playfully. "And don't you forget it. Someone's got to keep you in line."
