I rushed out of the house, making sure Bella was sleeping in her usual spot on the couch.
I shut the main door of the house and sighed.
"You have to stand up for yourself and make that stupid university regret ever kicking you out." I said, clutching at my purse. I waved my hand on the road and stopped a taxi, and got in.
I arrived in front of the hotel. There were a lot of expensive cars parked at the garage, and rich girls were giggling as they walked into the hotel. I looked down at my dress. Well, at least I looked elegant.
I started walking into the hotel, careful not to attract attention.
"Hey, beautiful." A guy with a weird-looking mustache waved at me.
I ignored him, with my head held high because he was white. White guys irritate me now. When I
reached the reception, the hotel was booming with upbeat music. The marble floor was literally shaking. The AC was intense.
"Your name, miss." The reception asked me.
"Rose sugar." I muttered. My name sounds strange, doesn't it? I changed it just in case Mason was still looking for me and so he couldn't find me.
"Here is your key. Have a nice stay." She beamed and handed me the room keys.
"Room 201." She muttered, looking at her laptop with a confused expression.
"Okay." I muttered and started walking in the direction the bellhop had shown me. I opened the door to my hotel room and got inside.
"Oh my God!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs as I sighted Mason on the bed with Elsa.
"Darn it." Elsa muttered and pulled the sheets up over their bodies.
I guess he never really loved me. His green eyes sparkled as he gazed at me.
"What are you doing in our room? How can you afford this hotel?" Elsa bombarded me with questions, glaring at me.
"I think I am in the wrong room. Carry on." I said, and opened the door, ready to walk out.
"What is she doing in this hotel? Say something." I heard her talking to Mason, who looked drunk and confused.
I shut the door and stomped angrily towards the hotel receptionist. I slammed the key on her desk.
"What's wrong with you? How can I book a room that is already occupied by two nasty couples fucking?" I ranted.
"Ma'am, please lower your voice. I am so sorry. I made a mistake." She said, taking back the key.
"I thought this was supposed to be a five-star hotel." I ranted, not caring if I was being loud.
"I am sorry. It's my mistake. Don't let my boss hear you or I will get fired." She whimpered. I felt pity and took the new set of keys from the desk and glanced at the room number on the key chain before walking away.
I feel awful. I was trying my best to put my past behind me, but it just kept haunting me. I don't know why I reacted that way. I suppose I was envious of Mason's relationship with Elsa, but why?
