Chapter 92 : Kamatari!

As a result, the people held a genuine affection for this princess. However, Temari paid little attention to these celebrations, not even responding to the well-wishes from her parents, uncles, and elder brother Kankuro, as her focus was solely on her younger brother, Gaara.

This was a rare sight - Gaara, with "love" imprinted on his forehead, bore a dark, brooding demeanor, expressing his desire to harm his brother and had never referred to her as his "sister," for a long time. This marked the first time in thirteen years that Gaara had called Temari "sister."

Temari's eyes welled with tears and her nose tingled with emotion as she witnessed the special bond she shared with Gaara. 

Though she had once been pampered as the daughter of Kazekage, her life had transformed from being served to serving others, resulting in a significant emotional shift within her.

Now, she felt that all her efforts and sacrifices were entirely worth it.

"Boom!"

The live broadcast had already started, and the one-eyed Kamatari appeared next to Temari as if from thin air. The Hokage's office was visible on the live broadcast interface once again.

Seeing the tears in Temari's eyes, Gaara, who had been discussing the village's succession with a group of Sand Shinobi, released his pent-up anger in a burst of murderous intent.

[Gaara: Sister, why are you crying? Have the people of Konoha mistreated you?]

Upon realizing the truth from Karura, Gaara felt the same kind of love that his mother had shown to Temari. 

Gaara's affection for his elder sister, who had "sacrificed" to ensure his return to the village, was second only to his mother's love and his former uncle, Yashamaru.

If it weren't for Temari's persistent persuasion and her willingness to serve Uchiha Ran as a life assistant, along with her promise to bring rain to the Land of Wind, Gaara would never have agreed to this arrangement. But now, seeing his sister in distress, he couldn't bear it.

"You can cry, you know, but others might be thinking that Konoha has treated you unfairly?" Uchiha Ran offered a tissue to Temari.

"Ah, thank you!" Temari blushed and accepted the tissue, feeling somewhat embarrassed for crying as an adult and as a ninja.

"Gaara, it appears you didn't treat your sister well in the past," Uchiha Ran remarked to the live camera.

[Gaara: What do you mean?]

"Why do you think Temari is crying? It's just because you called her 'sister,'" Uchiha Ran pointed out.

[Gaara: ...]

Gaara felt a pang of embarrassment, and every cell in his body seemed to tingle with sourness. He glanced at the high-ranking Sand Shinobi surrounding him; though their expressions remained stoic, he could sense their silent amusement.

"Boom!"

Gaara slammed his hand on the table and declared coldly, "I am the son of the Fourth Kazekage, the perfect host of the One-Tail Shukaku, and the only Kage-level ninja left in Sunagakure. My sister Temari made a noble sacrifice in Konoha to help bring rain to the Land of Wind. Who can match my identity, strength, background, and achievements? I hereby take my seat as the Fifth Kazekage!"

The room fell into a hushed silence. Everyone looked at each other, uncertain of how to react. It seemed that they couldn't afford to oppose this determined young man.

As the live broadcast continued, the one-minute countdown reached its conclusion.

Ninjas could be divided into two categories: those with innate talents and bloodline limits, and those who chose special beasts or spirit beasts for cultivation, training, and chakra development. Temari, belonging to the latter category, had her own methods of improving her chakra.

Kamatari, the weasel, also had its own lineage and abilities but wasn't as powerful as those from the legendary places like Shikkotsu Forest, Ryuchi Cave, or Mount Myoboku. 

Temari's method of cultivating chakra was different; it involved prolonged training and the use of specific resources. She wanted to make the best choice for herself.

In the future, a new holy land for Senjutsu might also appear.

"Make a choice!" Uchiha Ran encouraged her.

At this moment, Uchiha Ran spoke, "Sage Jutsu! I can teach you myself, wasting no opportunity."

Over the past seven days, he'd managed his time meticulously, reserving some of it to study Sage Mode, as initially taught by the First Hokage.

As expected, Senju Hashirama's Sage Mode did not have its origins in any of the major ninja villages but was an accumulation of his personal experiences, developed after witnessing the former Fire Temple host's unique skills.

Hashirama's Sage Mode was not as intricate as Tobirama's Water Style. Hashirama focused mainly on sealing techniques, a skill he struggled to transfer into recorded knowledge. 

However, with the unique abilities of the Uzumaki clan physique and his Mangekyo Sharingan, Uchiha Ran's power outmatched even Hashirama's prowess.

After three days of hard work, Uchiha Ran finally managed to make a breakthrough. It wouldn't be long before he could harness the power of Sage Mode.

Teaching Kamatari was an attainable goal.

Kamatari glanced at Uchiha Ran, her eye filled with hope, then turned to Temari for her advice.

"If it's the Fifth Hokage, you can trust him," Temari affirmed, confident in Uchiha Ran's credibility.

Kamatari nodded and made her decision. The golden light shot into the air, but when it faded, a glint of amusement danced in Kamatari's eyes. 

She leaned over and teased, "Temari, looks like you'll no longer be single in the future."

This remark carried a touch of playful social interaction that was a departure from Kamatari's usual stoic demeanor. Temari blushed and inquired, "So, what did you choose?"

"Of course, I picked one," Kamatari replied with a grin, "Why select option 2 when you can just learn it? And option 1 is even better."

Uchiha Ran praised, "A smart choice."

"Was that really necessary?" Kamatari joked, placing her twin knives behind his back before leaping onto a table in front of Uchiha Ran. "You're the man who looked out for little Temari."

"Kamatari, I'll call you 'Sister,' from now on and let's keep it polite," Temari chimed in, quick to bring her new sister to the side. 

The people present burst into laughter, finding Kamatari's unique charm entertaining.

Uchiha Ran turned to Temari and suggested, "Let's start with the lottery. You can draw."

Temari, typically carefree, was a bit shy at the moment and nodded obediently, "Alright, the lottery draw."

The golden light descended, revealing a familiar lottery plate. Tsunade, with a degree of self-assuredness that left everyone amused, said, "Come on, hold the hand of the gambling god, and you'll hit the jackpot once I give the signal."

Some couldn't help but smirk at Tsunade's self-perception, as the Sixth Hokage continued her peculiar banter.

Tobirama interjected, "Tsuna, becoming a future Hokage candidate, you must be self-aware. The lottery's a profound art, you can't just leave it to anyone. Allow Grandpa to demonstrate."

Hashirama emerged and began fanning himself with a fan he conjured out of thin air, claiming, "My luck is second to none in the entire ninja world. There's no one luckier than me."

Tsunade, always ready to challenge, retorted, "I dare!" Swiftly dismantling the notion that she wasn't willing to contest Hashirama's bravado.

Hashirama continued his earnest advice, "Tsuna-chan, you mustn't behave this way with your grandpa."

"Then, why don't we settle this with a bet?"

"Ho! You're on! This time, I won't lose."

"Who said you could wave the flag? You're giving the entire ninja world the wrong idea that you're at the top," Temari chimed in.

Their playful exchange continued as Uchiha Ran touched Temari's head, saying, "It's your turn."

Temari, feeling the tenderness in Ran's touch, blushed but eagerly took her turn, and the lottery wheel began to spin. After a moment, it landed on the category of "props."

The screen then transitioned to five different worlds: "Wind Stigma," "A Certain Scientific Magical Index," "Inuyasha," "Fairy Tail," and "Legend of Swordsman." The pointer moved autonomously and eventually stopped at "Legend of Swordsman."

A burst of golden light descended from the gold list, and when it dissipated, Temari held a bead with the word "wind" inscribed on it.

That concluded the live broadcast, and a golden bell rang.

A new three-dimensional image appeared, which immediately caught Tobirama's attention. It was Shimura.

"The Art of Summoning!" Shimura summoned a mythical creature, a dream tapir, known as Baku. 

This legendary dream-eating beast could create gusts of wind with its Wind Style abilities to manipulate and consume objects.
