Chapter 49

The friends were all present. Rory, acting as chairman, had given a run down of all the things they had experienced since moving to the house. Nina followed up by giving the information supplied by Len and then in the phone call to the Hamptons. Tom had scribbled notes and the rest just listened.

Much of the story was new to Simon. He had looked astonished as the first events were revealed and had maintained the same appearance throughout. As Nina finished talking, he slumped back in his chair, shaking his head.

"All this has been going on. Bloody hell mate. I would have offered my help if I'd known. I'm glad that you've included me in this task force." Simon was quite fired up.

"You're the investigator, Tom. Have you got any idea where we might start with all this?" Rory asked.
