Chapter 42

Nearing her due date, Nina was not so much walking as waddling now. Her high heeled shoes had been shunted to the back of the cupboard as she needed low and comfortable. It was getting more of a struggle every day to find anything she could fit into clothes wise. Scanning the contents of her wardrobe, a vast blouse was selected to go with her stretch trousers.

Moving at a snail's pace along the high street, Nina looked in the window of the clothes shop, but could not be tempted to go in. There was no way she was going to buy another big maternity item and it was frustrating looking at the things she couldn't fit into. When their baby boy had been born, a diet and exercise regime would have to follow. Regaining her figure was important, mainly because she wanted to get back into her pre pregnancy outfits.

The slow progress resumed and she reached the deli. Sam said hello, as she entered.
