Marriage and Terror

"Nadine is a rebellious child!" said a middle-aged man known as Ki Arya, his face tense and his jaw muscles protruding. Meanwhile, Ki Arya's wife, Nyi Laras, looks angry too. "That's right, Abah, we have to act!" cried Nyi Laras. They are both Nike's biological parents and Nadine's grandparents as well.

After a small dispute with Nadine, Nike immediately returned to the village of his birth, a small, quiet village in the Bogor Regency area. Currently, She is at his parents' residence, a small house with walls made of woven bamboo.

Even though there was no electricity in the house, that didn't stop them from having an important conversation. Nike always shows a sad expression when there is a conversation that makes Nadine feel cornered, and this has managed to get her special attention from her parents.

"Don't worry, Nike. That man will return his attention to you," said Ki Arya while looking at Gilang's face on the Nike Smartphone screen. Nyi Laras also watched him with concern; he also reassured his daughter, "A trivial matter; tomorrow morning he will be crazy about you."

"Thanks, Abah … Ambu." Nike said, She was smiling in his heart.

"You wait here; Abah and Ambu go inside first." Ki Arya said that while holding the Nike Smartphone, he invited his wife to come with him.

"Fine, Abah, thank you." Nike replied with a face that still maintained sadness.

Nike's parents entered a room without a door, and then a mixture of frankincense and incense wafted from the room.

Nike revealed a smile of joy, saying, "You're going to lose, Nadine." Nike thought so. All this time, Nadine never met or knew her grandparents; she didn't realize that her grandparents were a famous shaman couple.

After waiting for an hour, Ki Arya and his wife finally came out of the room and sat back down with Nike. Nyi Laras expressed her gratitude: "Ambu is very happy; finally you want to have a family again, after all these years you have closed yourself off."

"I believe Abah; many people know the names Abah and Ambu." Nadine replied, pulling the corners of her lips, and Ki Arya's words were true; she had never failed in carrying out actions in the dark world.

"Yes, now you rest first; tomorrow morning you have to return to Jakarta to meet that young man." Nyi Laras and Nike nodded their heads, then got up from their seats and went to their bedroom.
