NEW ALLIANCE

Dick stands perfectly still infront of Yin, who has a gun aimed at him.

"Put your hands where I can see them." Yin demands.

Nightwing slowly turns to her and puts his hands up in the air.

"Are you going to shoot me, detective Yin?" Dick asks.

"I'm going to take you in."

"We're on the same side, Chief."

"No, we're not. You work outside of the law."

"Because I have to. I agree that people need faith in the system, but sometimes it does fail. I can do the things that no other cop can, go to the places that you can't. Did you even know that Floyd Lawton was in Bludhaven?"

Yin doesn't answer, still aiming her gun at him.

"What about the name Black Mask, huh?" The crime boss from Gotham that's been running this city from the shadows."

Yin still doesn't answer, thinking to herself.

"If you really want to arrest me, then I'll go quietly. But I'm not gonna pretend that I think what I'm doing under this mask is wrong."

The two stare each other down for a moment, as Yin slowly lowers her gun. Footsteps are then heard coming towards the room. Yin looks at the door, then looks at Dick. She then points to the window, telling him to leave. Dick nods then jumps out of the window. A few cops comes in and sees Yin and a unconscious Deadshot trapped against the wall.

"Remove his weapons and cuff him, now." Yin orders.

As Floyd Lawton is taken in, Mateo Flores approaches Yin.

"Well, we got Floyd Lawton, so at least that's something. What happened when you got here tonight?"

Yin doesn't answer for a moment.

"I walked in, expecting to catch Nightwing, instead I see Lawton knocked out on the ground."

"The vigilante must have gotten away before you came. We'll start an all out search tomorrow night. Get some rest, captain." Flores says and walks away, leaving Yin alone with her thoughts.

Later that night, when Ellen gets out of the shower, she walks to her bed and sees a device on it, on her pillow. She picks it up and reads the note.

"I owe you one. If you ever need me, use this." The note says.

She then looks at the device and sees Nightwings symbol on it. Yin looks around her, then lets out a sigh.

"Oh boy." She says to herself.

Meanwhile, Black Mask is beating one of his employees half to death, fists stained with blood. After he finishes, Li hands him a towel to wipe the blood away. Mask stands up and snatches the towel away.

"I knew Lawton was screwing around too much! Now he got himself arrested, and Nightwing is still running around out there!"

Mask stomps on the employees head out of anger. He then points at Li.

"I'm done playing. Bring in the big gun."

"As you wish, sir. But, it will take a few days for him to get here. I heard he had some business of shore."

"I DON'T CARE! Just get him here."
