He took a step forward closing the distance between them and his eyes narrowed when she took a step back, but that didn't stop him from cornering her. "Did you think you can escape from me?" He continued to question and she didn't miss the mockery behind his words. "I…I" she felt her words tied to her tongue because of the man's daunting aura. She felt him trace her forehead with his finger down to her jaw. He continued moving his hand down to her neck and to the top of her swell and her thudding heart hitched when his hand continued to stay there. "Did you think you can escape from me?" He bent towards her as he spoke. His breath fell on her neck which sent a jolt that traveled down her body. "I told you, you're tied to me and me to you" _______________________ Perdita Kartar was a winsome yet strange young lady. She had an appealing beauty with her green eyes that invoked and impelled anyone who gazed into them. She had fooled her villagers so she could live and protect herself and her remaining family from the night creatures and also humans. But what was bizarre of all, was that Perdita had a secret she shared with no one. She had lived in the village since she was little, and over the years, she had been discreet with each move she made. Unfortunately, things didn't go as she planned. Despite her cautious decorum and fight to stay out of sight, a pair of glacial red eyes falls on her, which followed and refused to leave her out of sight.

"Are you running away from me, my sweet girl?" spoke a voice in the hallway that made her stop in her tracks. The hallway had turned dark with only the wall lamps that burned brightly casting the shadow of the man on the floor as he slowly emerged from the other end.

"What are you doing here, Your majesty?" She said and bowed immediately as she saw him approach her with slow but steady steps.

"You haven't answered me, sweet," The man said with a sweet smile that made her wary and he heard the way her heart skipped a beat. He stood before her and used his index finger to raise her chin. He tilted his head as he gazed into her green eyes that looked back at him with fear.

He took a step forward closing the distance between them and his eyes narrowed when she took a step back, but that didn't stop him from cornering her.

It makes me happy that I am the first one to review it. The first chapter captivated my attention to read more but I got busy with my book. But now as I finished 13 chapters and knew about the story. I came to like every single detail of this book. The characters are strong, the plot is going smoothly and the troublemakers had started to act. The world background is amazing with beautiful nature and beat description. I hope everything went smoothly now I am thinking about how will she react if she gets to know about the pills she was taking. Such a silly girl. This is worth reading, a transformed girl's story hiding secrets from the village where she lived. Come and know-how will she will protect herself and her brother. Support this book because it deserves it. Keep writing Author!!!! Best of luck!!!! Fighting!!!! 💪🏻

I've been silently reading this book and I decided to review it. This book has an interesting plot different from ones I've read before. I love the character building, the way the scenes plays out one after the other. its worth a read and I'm urging you to read. You won't feel bored because every chapter gets more interesting as secrets and trouble get unraveled. I most applaud the author for putting words together to write this thrilling book. Good read !! Although the first few chaps are a liiitttle bit shaky in terms of punctuation and a few errors, the storytelling makes up for it by several folds. I quite like what i've read so far: The characters are fleshed out, described through action and dialogue rather than just descriptions. The setting and background are also detailed, letting the readers delve deeper into the author'a world. Nice job, recommended for romance lovers set in medieval(?) Settings

I have a man in my village who is like Mr Perkin, nothing goes by without him poking his head into it😄 I love that Mr Perkin is receiving his punishment in the hands of Sthena 😅 This is one of the best romance fantasy novels I've read so far. Author, you're work is amazing, especially the way Mr Perkin's family is entertaining us😄 The life of a vampire in a village where they're not accepted by the people. Each chapter intrigued me to find out more about the story. Read this novel friends.

I absolutely loved reading this story, I love the characters and how they are coming along sometimes there's a little confusion but it gets cleared up later so it's like a little suspense there. My only complaint is that the author is slow to update chapters, maybe they have other projects going on and this was put on the back burner. I hope it gets placed back in the front soon because I'm dying to read more. I fully believe that anyone looking for a new story to read will really enjoy reading this one but I think the privileges should be taken off until the stock pile was enough to be worth the cost of coins paid for it. So I really hope there's more updates coming soon!

It is an amazing slow-burn vampire romance. The author does a great job of building up the world and letting the characters develop naturally, so by the time things start heating up, you're fully invested. The romance unfolds gradually, which makes it feel more real and satisfying.
