Demon and Darkness

Masuli, originating from the continent of Ufrait, was a master craftsman for famous Adventurer teams.

The reason for these Adventurer teams' fame is due to the quality of weapons and products created by Masuli.

Masuli spent his entire life honing his skills for crafting weapons, armors, accessories and whichever product that could be used in both combat and daily living.

However, among his greatest works, he is treasuring the claws he named Naxia, which is the claws of the Demonic Dragon named Naxoreen.

Naxoreen is not from the bona fide Dragon race, but rather, a Demonic creature taking the form of a Dragon.

However, even if Naxoreen is not a true Dragon, he could still use Draconic skills and magic, which brought great destruction in Ufrait.

Naxoreen got the attention of various Adventurer teams until it turns into a massive subjugation quest.

Masuli was of course invited to provide support for the temporary base around the territory occupied by Naxoreen.

The battle lasted for 3 whole days, Naxoreen falling down almost on the fourth morning.

Due to the quality of service provided by Masuli's support in terms of forging backup weapons and repairing damaged ones, he was given the chance to get all the materials he could get out of Naxoreen.

He carefully investigated and studied the remains of Naxoreen's corpse, to which he concluded that the scales and other body parts are incompatible for forging.

Only the claws were found useful for him, he turned the massive claws into a miniature version, a claw weapon for one hand.

Due to the other materials used in crafting the claw weapon, it was later identified as a Legendary weapon.

Various researchers of other cities in Ufrait and even neighboring continents personally visited Masuli to buy and get the claws for themselves.

Masuli refused and declined every offer; he wanted to keep this weapon for himself.

The part that Masuli does not want to sell the Legendary weapon is understandable for these researchers, but the fact that Masuli is making it as a decoration for his shop is the reason they are furious about.

Due to the number of complaints being thrown at the capital of Ufrait, now with their own Legendary grade weapon, Masuli was forced to join the frontlines against the flood of monsters.

The reason was yet to be discovered for the sudden increase of these monsters and attacks from dark entities but Masuli was still notified to go and fight with his Legendary claws.

Masuli hesitated and feared for his life since he never really fought, he was always been assigned at the backline, only to provide support.

After the largest Adventurer team of Ufrait called Slayers guaranteed his safety in their battles, Masuli finally agreed.

Masuli was assigned as one of the sub attackers, meaning, he will not actively charge upfront to receive the enemies, but only charge in after the main attackers have solidified their positions.

Finally, the Slayers received a quest: to defend a city from dark entities.

The only intel they have of these dark entities is that they can hide themselves in the darkness, which will prove to be a challenge since they deliberately move at night.

The real identity of these dark entities being Noctuas are still unknown to the humans of Terra, thus, could only respond with great carefulness and anxiety.

Also, at this era, the other races living in Terra has not yet allied with humans, so they are moving on their own.

Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Beastmen and others for example are not yet coexisting with humans, thus, defending their own cities with their own Adventurers.

These other races are physically stronger than humans and even more magically adept, which makes them fare better against the attackers and monsters.

Even if all the Terran races are under attack of the same entities and monsters, they have not yet seen the unifying force.

The night starts as the moon rises, mages and magicians of Slayers have casted their own flame magic on the torches around the battlefield, even going as making flaming rings around the sky to increase the light as much as possible.

Boom! Clang! Cling! Shing!

Soon, loud clangs of weapon and explosions started the battle, now, monsters are moving simultaneously with the dark entities.

Masuli's heart is beating loudly; he tightened the bracers attaching the Naxia to his right arm.

When the frontline Adventurers of Slayers received the monsters and attackers successfully, the sub attackers started moving while only Masuli remained quiet.

After closing and opening his eyes, he steeled his mind to move forward and bring everyone to victory with his Naxia.

Growlll!!!

Every swipes and forward strikes he made with Naxia, growls of a Dragon could be heard, sending shivers to the attackers.

Previously, his heart is beating madly with anxiety and worry, but now, all he feels is excitement and blood boiling battle.

He is now smiling with fierce eyes, going as far as jumping farther from the frontlines and receiving the enemies himself.

From a scared old man to a fierce veteran warrior, the Adventurers of Slayers became dazed when they saw Masuli starting a bloodbath by himself.

Masuli wielded the claws with extreme efficiency using his arms that are as thick as a tree due to countless years of forging.

The exclusive ability of Naxia is that it makes the user move faster and attack fiercer as the battle progresses.

As long as Masuli spends enough time battling with Naxia and dragging it, he will soon overpower any kind of enemy for as long as he has the Naxia.

Now, due to the couple hours passing since the start of the battle, Masuli is now moving faster than the eyes could see.

Masuli is bisecting the dark entities with great precision, preventing them from mending their wounds at the dark.

Every swipe of Masuli's right arm, an enemy would be torn in half or shredded beyond recognition.

Some of the Adventurers of Slayers with weak stomach could not handle the gore, vomiting on the spot.

It is like Masuli has become a completely different person.

From then on, Masuli became the leader of Slayers, bringing peace to the continent of Ufrait.

After the destruction brought upon by the Demonic Dragon Naxoreen, Ufrait struggled to recover its resources, but after Masuli taking up the leader of its leading Adventurer team, Ufrait started its rapid recovery.

He led different teams to buy resources from other continents to use in their own.

With these resources, they could grow their lost plants back and nurture their own animals.

Masuli makes use of Demonic type of mana, which is the reason why he could go beyond the physical capabilities of an ordinary human.

The images of Masuli's story ends, with another wave of Mavis' hand, it now changed into Calhone, wielder of the Celestiuum Umbrella.

Celestiuum is an actual umbrella that turns into a weapon, which shows similar prowess to other Legendary weapons.

But since its origins are unknown, it was initially declared only as a special weapon, not attaining Legendary grade.

This umbrella disappeared for years for various reasons, however, among the rumors, one stands at the top.

That rumor which is saying that the umbrella will change the wielder's personality, turning into a godly being.

Ever since that rumor, many Adventurers bought and passed around the umbrella, they would buy it to find out if it really works, then sell it to another after seeing that it is a failure.

One night, years after the emergence of the unusual umbrella, a young girl named Calhone from the continent of Nadril, found the umbrella in a box and used it while playing.

Calhone was just 11 years old, thus, she was made unaware of the events in the world, especially when there were unknown attackers all over the world.

These attackers have even started to move with the monster armies, improving their overall strength.

Calhone's father is an Adventurer who loved fighting more than anyone else on his team.

However, due to this passionate personality, Calhone's father got ambushed when he strayed away from the flame magic of his teammates.

When the news soon reached Calhone and her mother, they could only kneel down and cry.

Calhone's eyes became red from crying, her mother already calmed down.

Calhone grabbed her umbrella and went outside their house.

She was still crying, so she opened the umbrella so that it could cover her face.

She unknowingly walked faraway into the forest; she is now alone, only night birds and rustling leaves could be heard.

When she thought of her father who tragically died while adventuring, she wanted to grow up immediately and become an Adventurer herself.

'Father… I will become a strong Adventurer someday and purge the bad people who put you in danger!' Calhone thought to herself.

Unknowingly, purple-colored mana flowed out of the umbrella, seeping into the girl's fingers.

Calhone soon stopped crying when she felt the new sensation in her mind.

She visibly grew taller, the area around her eyes darkened and even her clothes changed.

This is the rumor of the Celestiuum Umbrella, transforming its user, as for the godly part, Calhone still has not shown her fighting capabilities.

Calhone smirked with cold eyes; her wishes were instantly answered by a miracle.

Days passed since then, her mother asked the Adventurer teams to search for her child because she has not returned home since that one night.

Calhone signed up with the same Adventurer team that her father was part of, immediately joining in the frontlines and showing her abilities.

The Celestiuum is both a melee and a magical weapon, having a magical blade on the tip of the umbrella and could fire skills.

The body of the umbrella, when opened, is even sturdier than shields.

Because of these features, Calhone soon reached the top level of the Adventurers, a level that can do all roles in a team with the exception of healing.

The exclusive ability of the Celestiuum is its ability to transform its user, but only with the appropriate willpower, and also its ability to transform its body into different functions: sword, spear, shield and staff.

The Celestiuum's mana basis is dark mana, similar to Umbralia or Umbral Reaver, which is similar to Veil's original mana.
