Chapter 39 : Mana Breathing

It was the morning now , when Cain woke up Aurora was changing her clothes . Looking at him as she changed she spoke

"We're leaving tomorrow at dawn as it may take 3 to 4 days of continuous travelling , Thorkell decided it would be best if we took rest or just relax"

Cain who was a little sleepy wore his clothes directly through His weapons ring , looking at that Aurora was surprised and spoke

"FUCK! what is that !? Is it some kind o parasite on your body" She spoke as she started to gather mana to attack him . Cain still in a sleepy tone and completely relaxed even as she was in a stance to attack him he spoke

"Come on , come here it's nothing" He went and hugged Aurora as he explained how and where he got the Ring of the War god . She was listening while she was walking out of the room and going down to eat after the reached the restraunt area of the inn she spoke

"Cain ,why are you telling this to me ? don't tell anyone about that ring . As far as I've seen or heard , no one has an artifact like that . They may hunt you for having that itself"

Cain while oredering some food spoke

"Yeah , Fine and I'm not going to tell just anyone so calm down and eat "

Aurora feeling proud of herself patted Cain's head as if she was patting a kid's head and told

"Good boy , so eat well we need to do some training later"

"Yeah , yeah"

After having breakfast they both left the town and went to a nearby forest as they reached a suitable place , Aurora created a barrier using a relic and Cain seeing this in eagerness spoke

"Wow , Aura I knew you were crazy but outdoors... No problem I'm ready for it "

As Cain went to hug Aurora she shot chilling water at Cain and spoke

"Cain , not now and not the outdoors . I came here to check on your mana frame and check how you control mana"

Cain who was doused in water looking at her spoke

"Oh , is that so . Ok fine lets get on with it , so what is a mana frame ?"

Both of them sat down as they crossed their legs and Aurora spoke

"It's a system or path you use in your body to circulate mana . All people follow any of one a large number of methods so what do you use ? "

"Hmm , I just brute force it "

"What !?"

"Yeah , just make the mana flow in my body how i want "

"Wait Cain , if we don't follow a proper path in our body , we can get severe internal injuries even if we have rapid regeneration , doing that all the time is harmful and usually not effective"

"Is that so , I didn't get any problems so I didn't focus till now"

"Yes , it's mostly because we don't use Chant magic as we have high affinity to mana than normal beings we don't feel the effect much but it's still better as we can control mana more precisely so turn around"

"What ?"

Aurora pushed him and made him sit ahead of her with placing both her palms on Cain's back and spoke

"This will be painful and don't use regeneration until i say it's complete or It won't be effective"

"Don't worry , This much pain will be nothing"

Aurora started to push mana into Cain's body which then started to flow into his veins and arteries where they started to rip apart a layer of vein wall which was closed and stuck like a closed bag and started to flow next to his blood .

Cain could feel his insides being ripped , he felt pain but at the same time he felt the urge to draw in mana and fill the places with mana and after 15 minutes Aurora who was guiding him came back as Cain was rapidly absorbing mana from the environment . She could see he was absorbing and getting more veins unclogged she didn't disturb him.

After an hour Cain who was in intense meditation while absorbing mana from the surroundings got up , Aurora who was sitting on a Tree branch spoke from above

"You'll be able to use mana breathing from now on , you'll be able to gather mana just by normally breathing and your proficiency with controlling mana would also have increased "

Cain could feel the difference , he was able to manifest mana at any part of his body with more ease and also could concentrate and gather mana at a higher rate than before , Though none of his strength by numbers increased he became more precise in controlling the strength he had .

Cain looking at Aurora spoke

"Don't you wanna learn something ?"

Aurora jumped down as Cain caught her and she spoke

"What can you teach ?"

After that Cain continued to teach Aurora Hand to Hand combat Techniques which he was most proficient in which she learned from him soon , Aurora also tried to teach him Water magic but unfortunately he had no affinity to it . After few hours they went back and roamed around the Town like a couple and enjoyed their time there .

The next day the group left the Town and decided they would directly head to Aloet , the Academic Capital of the Wulfruric Kingdom and was also very close to Wangrm which was the Capital of the Kingdom where they could use the portal to move to the Raventrix kingdom .

For the next Two weeks they didn't stop at any towns or cities in the way and travelled by foot or by using beast rides when available . They raided a few dungeons on the way and fought huge beasts , strongest being Mythic rank and went with relative ease . Thy camped every two days , though camping wouldn't be the right term as Thorkell had a Relic which would create a underground house with essentials so it was relatively good .

Cain and others had a good idea of his fighting style as Cain for theirs's . Cain could team up with Elaine or Aurora as it would be the most effective as they both had a variety of long range powerful attacks and he would take care of any beast which came at a certain distance to them .

He also sparred time to time with the others with Thorkell giving him guide lines about swordsmanship and mana control , Cain also improved in his control and technique drastically . Though Thorkell and the others kept certain distance from Cain , now they were treating him like one of their own at almost end of two weeks after they started travelling .

Aurora was happy with the development and some what becoming more possessive of Cain as time passed , Though Cain didn't even notice nor care about that as he was more than happy to be with her the others could easily see the changes in her .

Aurora would usually train by herself or with Cain or Thorkell as she improved on her mana manipulation skills and close combat skills , she even started to incorporate water manipulation skills in her close combat skills similar to how Cain used his flames .

Spending time with Aurora , Cain came to understand that she is highly talented and intelligent incorporating her own flair to any skill she learnt and could understand how she was so strong and also called the genius of her generation as Thorkell said .

Though looking at her , Cain also noticed that she didn't care anything about what happens to people around her given that people close to her are not hurt and completely ruthless to anyone who disturbed her or her people .

When a group of bandits attacked as the group was resting and Aurora was sitting with Cain and getting intimate , she got completely angry and within seconds cutoff all their limbs within seconds as they bled to death screaming and she looked at their faces with as though looking at trash.

After Almost 3 weeks leaving the small Town they had reached Aloet , and since they had 3 weeks left to go to the Capital , Thorkell , Rebecca and Elaine after a day of rest went to start the checking process in the guild and also to meet the noble in the city , Cain and Aurora took rest and told them they would check out the city .

Cain was currently walking around with his complete armor , i.e of the rouge armor . Cain and Aurora were looking around the large city of Aloet . They had decided they would stay here for 2 weeks then leave for Wangrm as it was very close by .

The City of Aloet was Comparatively larger than Zrervin , this was also due to the presence of the large academies in the city . Many of the noble children from the kingdom attended the Academies here . The head of the city was the Marquis Aloet household who themselves held large influence here as they were well known Chant mages and the head of the family was a Expert Rank mage and also were the heads of the top Mage academy in the city . Their family was also well known to produce many well known scholars and well known mages.

As they were looking around the city they could see many students in their academy uniforms , and many bookstores , food stalls , and all the types of shops which were appealing to the younger people were there as this was a good market place for that.

As they were going around eating delicious food from the stalls , they were interrupted by some one .
