Pot of Gold

While having breakfast the business talk continues. "Alright, I assume the orders go through you? Can you ask him if he can make 100,000 sets of the said phone? And how much will he sell the phone each and also how long will it take to make it?" his dad asked.

"A hundred thousand pieces of phones? Are you sure Dad?" Ben asked, he can't believe his father ordered a big number right off the bat.

"Yeah, the earlier we release it, the earlier the people learn of it, hopefully, my team can study the phone as fast as they can and manufacture it as soon as possible by the time the phone will be in demand. Or else your friend will be working day and night to manufacture it." His dad said.

"Alright Dad, I'm gonna call my friend after." Ben replied his Dad. 'Yue, how many phones can I buy on the [Shop]?' Ben asked Yue.

/Master, you can buy as many, as long as your money is sufficient. We have a lot of stocks of the outdated phone that you're going to buy./ Yue answered.

Ben can understand when Yue said that these phones where outdated, he saw more advanced phones that can function like in the sci-fi movies. Ben picked the "outdated" phone so as not to attract too much attention from authoritative people and can still be manufactured in this current time.

After eating, Ben went to his room to "call his friend". By the time he went outside his room, he saw the different department heads from his father's company arriving one after another. His father guided them to the study, then his father went to him and asked for an update.

"Dad, my friend said he can sell you the phone for $250 per set. It includes the OS and the games and can be integrated with the different apps that are currently available in the market. He said that he will send me the finish products after a week after you transfer him half of the total amount of the phone." Ben informed his dad of the arrangement.

Mr. Torres stared at Ben carefully then asked "That's fast, are you sure your friend is broke and alone? A hundred thousand orders are not that easy to produce."

Ben just shrugged and said "I don't know Dad, even I was skeptical, you told me it would sell for $1,000 but he's only selling it for $250. He's really weird. If I didn't know him well, I will not even be going through this deal. Trust me Dad, my friend is a dependable person and honest, he will never put me in danger."

"Okay Son, I trust you. Even people often said that geniuses can't be understood my simple minds or common people. I'll transfer him the money before I start the meeting. By the way son, please remind him of the blueprint and components of the phone." His dad reminded him.

"Yes Dad, he said the blueprint will arrive tomorrow, since I'll be in school that time, I will be leaving it with Cheska, my maid at home. Just message me the person who will get the package and I'll inform Cheska." Ben explained.

It looks like his dad wants to ask him about his maid but seeing that all his staff arrived, he entered his study to have a conference with them.

Ben went to sit on their couch to pass the time. Then he saw his mother went out of the kitchen. "Look at your Dad, today is Sunday and he didn't let off his co-workers to rest including himself." His mom sighed then continued with slight disappointment "Don't be like him alright? Make sure to get proper rest and not to be a workaholic. It's not good for your health and you won't have much time for the family."

"Mom, don't be sad, he's doing it for us, to give us a better future. I'm sure after the release of our new product, Dad will have more time for us." Ben consoled his mom.

"I know, I'm just worried for his health." His mother said then changing the topic she asked "Have you found a housekeeper at your apartment? Is it a girl or a boy?"

"Yeah Mom, I got a housekeeper now, it looks like a girl actually." Ben responded. His mother looked at him, puzzled by what he said so he explained "It's a robot Mom. A robot that is designed to look like a girl. My friend gifted it to me, the same one that gave me the opportunity to earn money, with the help of Dad of course."

"I hope it's not defective or anything of the sort." Mumbled his Mom.

"No Mom, the robot is perfect, I named it Cheska. It cleans the whole house, cooks and even tends to the garden. It works for 18 hours and charge itself for 6 hours at night. I didn't really have anything to do but study." Ben further explained.

"Wow, your friend is so good, I wanna see it. I'll visit you sometime to see it. And I also want to meet your friend, where does he live?" his mom inquired.

"Uh, my friend is kind of a recluse and is very shy, he doesn't like meeting people. That's why even with the business, he preferred for me to handle it than he himself going out." Ben gave an excuse to his mom.

"Oh, I understand, but if there's an opportunity don't forget to introduce us, I'm sure he's a good child. For the meantime, I guess I'll just satisfy my curiosity of Cheska." His mother relented.

Ben breathed a sigh of relief, then his phone buzzed with a transfer notification. His father transferred $12.5 million in his other account, now he has $12.8M on his account, tomorrow he can inquire about the land and how big is its area.

He is now a millionaire! Sad to say that he can only savor the feeling for a few days, before the money will go like water flowing from his hand. Well at least now, he already has the capital to start his farm.

"Mom, tomorrow the package from my friend will arrive, it's the blueprint, components and parts that are needed by father for our deal. So why don't you volunteer to get it tomorrow? You can then meet and talk with Cheska." Ben suggested.

"Really? Alright, I'm going to talk to your Dad about it later. It seems I'm going to meet Cheska sooner than later." His mom said, then she got up and went to her garden.

Left alone, Ben checked the system's [Shop] while passing the time, waiting for his Dad to come out of his study.
