Chapter 11: Josh's Rage

Josh watched the werewolves who once respected him preparing to attack him like a traitor. Josh said:

"You're all here. Was it Robzin that ordered you to kill me?"

One guy replied:

"That's right, traitor. Come with us and return to the kingdom for a public execution."

Josh said with determination:

"No! I never killed my parents. You once served and fought with me, we were comrades, once brothers and friends. And you were willing to come here just to kill me for something you still haven't found out the truth."

One guy replied:

"No need to explain much to a traitor. Your sins must be punished for killing the king, take him away!"

Josh said:

"I asked for justice for me, and you didn't give it to me. So I won't hold back when I kill you all in order to survive."

Josh and the werewolves howled loudly and began a bloody battle. All werewolves rushed at Josh, there were ten of them. Josh jumped up and grabbed the front man by the face. He threw him at the other nine so they dodged and disrupted their formation. Josh was immediately attacked from both sides, one guy landed and punched him. But Josh quickly dodged and clawed at the enemy's face, causing the skin of his jaw and left eyeball to fly. Another guy landed and rushed over to knock Josh into the wall. The two men landed and took out their silver spears to escort Josh. They lunged and one of them stabbed Josh in the left shoulder, bringing him back to normal. The second man was about to stab him, but Josh caught the tip of his spear and pushed the spear into the man on the left, cutting his eye with the spear. Josh threw a hook punch that stunned the guy on the right, but the guy in the middle rammed him while scratching his stomach repeatedly. Josh punched him hard in the back and broke his spine. The guy on the right lunged forward, but Josh threw another punch to his face, stunning him again. Josh pulled the spear from his left shoulder and hurled it at him, the spear piercing his skull and shoving his head into the wall. The one who lost his eyeball and four more rushed forward. Josh turned into werewolf and rushed to attack them. He grew wolf claws and stabbed the man who lost a eyeball between his eyes. A guy lunged forward and bit Josh's right shoulder. He continued to scratch his body and twist the wound. Josh was seriously injured but he quickly grabbed the enemy's head with his left hand and stabbed him in the face through the jaw with his right hand. He tore a piece of skin off Josh's shoulder and died. Josh backed down and was hit by three more guys and punched him hard and repeatedly in the face. Josh was punched to the ground and they continued to punch him furiously. One guy immediately bit down on Josh's right hand and tore it hard. Josh howled in pain and kicked him in the face causing him to fall back but a piece of flesh in his left biceps muscle was torn. Josh's left arm was badly injured but he quickly strangled the guy on the right and threw him at the guy on the left making them hit the wall hard. The guy in the middle lunged forward but Josh immediately grabbed him by the neck and threw him hard to the ground. Josh immediately bit into his throat, even though he was scratching very long on his back and he tore his throat. The other two rush forward and smash Josh into the wall, he spits out blood then immediately grows long claws and thurst the enemy's stomach on the right side. Josh rushed forward and hit his head on the guy on the left, stunning him. But two more guys were in the back and launched the silver chain with the knife head to pierce Josh's shoulders to pull him away. Josh turned back to normal and was dragged across the ground. He said with indignation:

"Arghh!"

Josh grabbed the chain on his right shoulder and pulled out the knife to his enemy's surprise. Then he gathered all his strength and spun the chain to hit the guy in front of him then hit the guy hard on the ground breaking all their bones. With only the last one left, he took a silver gun and fired three silver bullets into Josh's back. Exhausted from his injuries, Josh lay on the ground bleeding everywhere. The last guy pulled Josh closer to him and said:

"In the end, he's just a useless prince. But he's also reckless to fight so wild despite having his own element."

When he was very close to Josh, he suddenly stood up and rushed to bite the enemy's neck repeatedly. Josh stood up with his mouth covered in blood and the guy was having a hard time breathing. Josh pulled the knife from his left shoulder and unwrapped the invisibility kelvar around his waist and threw it down. There were three silver pieces on the kelvar and it stretched very well so it didn't tear. Josh said angrily:

"Where is he?! Where is that bastard?!"

The guy replied:

"There will still be many enemies coming to kill you, the capture plan has failed, you will die next time."

After saying that, the guy also stopped breathing because the wound was too severe. Josh wiped the blood from his mouth and knelt in pain. He screamed violently and burst into tears as he watched his rage kill all the werewolves who were of his own race. Josh was gradually becoming more rage in his journey to get revenge on Robzin. Robzin stood on a building watching Josh in the alley below with ten werewolves brutally killed, he smirked and said:

"Good, let the rage take hold of you. You can survive in this dark world now."

Suddenly Robzin saw a drone flying nearby, he said with disappointment:

"Ha, those AVFs. They never leave me alone when it's good."

Robzin quickly left and there was a convoy of armored vehicles approaching Josh's alley. Josh was about to leave that alley, but he was walking very slowly because of his severe injuries. Suddenly an armored vehicle blocked the alley and another one behind. Josh wondered:

"What the hell?"

Suddenly a group of soldiers wearing armor and armed with silver guns got out of the car and surrounded the alley. They flashed the lights on their guns at Josh and one of them said dangerously:

"Kneel now! Or we'll open fire!"

Josh just had to hand up and said:

"Ah shit!"

Josh was caught by some force, on their armor and on their truck was an AVF symbol with a gun going through a vampire's head. Back to Langress, he was still watching the anime "Hellsing: Ultimate" in his room. Suddenly someone knocked on the door and said:

"Langress! I'm Will! Josh has a problem!"

Langress and Will then rushed outside the base, Langress said with some concern:

"Josh was caught by someone?"

Will replied:

"AVF, Anti Vampire Forces. They are a government force, supplied with advanced guns from the Atlantis weapons company. Their mission is to destroy all Predator vampires, including Insiders vampires. And they found and caught Josh, they will come here soon."

Langress said gruffly:

"Those assholes dare to show up to disturb my hunt! And Josh, oh you idiot!"

Everyone was gathering outside, including Bryant, Arenyx, and Jonathan. The AVF convoy was outside and Josh was brought inside the base by cuffs and pulled in like an animal. Langress was furious but Will hurriedly stopped him. A man in the front seat got out of the car, he was black, bald, wearing sunglasses, wearing armor and a long black cloak. He looked very dangerous and caused the hunters to back down as he approached Bryant. Standing in front of Bryant, he took off his sunglasses and revealed blue eyes with a face scarred by five long parallel scratches. He said:

"Leader Bryant Ghenon, we're the government AVF you know. I'm captain Burt Duncan, we've just arrived in New York to begin a new mission."

Burt finished speaking and showed Bryant his AVF ID card. Bryant replied:

"Yes Captain Burt, why do you have one of our men?"

Burt said:

"We discovered him in an alley while we were checking out vampires in a residential area. He brutally killed ten werewolves so we had to handcuff him.

Then he said he was from the Heroic faction so we brought him here to confirm."

Bryant replied:

"Yes, Josh is one of our hunters, please release him."

Burt nodded and waved his hand to his soldiers to release Josh. Josh was allowed to uncuff his neck, but the soldier behind him pushed him forward and said sarcastically:

"Get out of my sight, dog."

The surrounding soldiers laughed at his joke. Josh tried to hold back his rage and left. Langress came to Josh and said:

"Go get some rest, Will, follow him. Let me handle them."

Josh replied:

"Yeah, good luck."

But Will said with worry:

"Oh no."

Josh was helped by Will to go to infirmary. While Burt and Bryant were talking, Langress stepped forward and punched the soldier pushing Josh in the face, who then lay face down on the ground screaming in pain. Burt and Bryant immediately looked in Langress's direction and the AVF soldiers quickly pointed their guns at him. One of them said:

"What the fuck did you do?"

Langress replied:

"You know, I've never fought a human before. How many of you want to fight me? come out."

Bryant said loudly angry:

"Oh damn it Langress! Don't mess with them!"

Arenyx ran over and said angrily:

"Langress, get inside the base now!"

Langress grabbed Arenyx's face and pushed him away. Langress said:

"You wretches are nothing without those guns."

One guy replied:

"Who are you?!"

Langress arrogantly said:

"Langress Mcloucht, The World's Strongest Hybrid."

They were a bit confused by the name so one guy continued:

"What the fuck is the name? Fuck that, you wanna die?!"

Langress replied strongly:

"Come here!"

Langress was about to charge when suddenly Burt rushed forward and pressed Langress's face to the ground. The soldiers shouted mockingly at Langress:

"Yeah captain, show that asshole your power!"

Burt said to Langress:

"Stop acting like a clown here Hybrid."

Langress immediately swung his right arm and punched Burt in the face, causing him to fall back. The swing also accidentally damaged Langress's power restraint bracelet, he stood up and realized it was loosened so he quickly broke it off his arm. All Langress power was back, he said:

"Fuck yeah, now you fuckers really die. Especially you, "captain"."

Burt said nothing and coldly prepared to fight Langress. But Jonathan rushed to stop them from fighting and said:

"Captain Burt Duncan, I'm Jonathan Viam, priest of the Vatican. Please stop this nonsense, please. Please don't kill each other when we're on the same side."

Langress calmed down and Burt had no intention of attacking anymore. Langress left and said:

"You're in luck. If it weren't for Jonathan, I'll kill you all next time."

Langress pointed his middle finger at the AVFs while leaving to check on Josh. Jonathan breathed a sigh of relief and returned to his room to rest. Burt waved his hand and said:

"Let's leave, take him for treatment."

The soldiers lifted the wounded man up, and they commented that Langress punched him so hard that his lower jaw was displaced and he was still breathing. Bryant said to Burt:

"Sorry captain, that will never happen again."

Burt replied:

"Make sure of that. We'll be back tomorrow and need some Heroic faction hunters for a big hunt. More clear tomorrow."

Bryant said:

"Alright, goodbye, we'll see you tomorrow."

Burt nodded and put on his sunglasses and left. He got on the truck and the AVF convoy continued to move to hunt vampires. Bryant breathed a sigh of relief and said to everyone:

"Everything's fine, there's no problem. Everyone go back to your positions."

The hunters dispersed and returned to their work. In the infirmary, Josh was being treated by Dr. Anita. The werewolves had superhuman powers, but their recovery was still very slow, so Josh's torn flesh wounds needed to be carefully bandaged to slowly restore new pieces of flesh. Josh was resting with serious injuries and Langress and Will sat across from him. Langress said:

"You actually killed ten werewolves, congrats on your first kills in this career."

Josh replied:

"That... Indeed my rage has never been so brutal and wild. Am I changing?"

Langress said:

"That's right, to survive in a world where fighting is everything, you have to fight to survive."

Josh replied:

"Where are the AVFs?"

Langress said:

"I scared them to retreat, I could have killed a few guys to satisfy my anger."

Will replied:

"You almost got into a fight, they're our allies in the hunt. Don't you know if we clashed with government hunters, it would be difficult for the Vatican to help us?"

Langress said:

"I just wanted to kick some guys ass. In fact, all my power is back now."

Langress didn't notice and Anita added another power control bracelet to his left arm, she said:

"Don't worry, we still have more bracelets."

Langress was depressed and whispered:

"I hate my life now."

Josh said:

"Those AVFs, they're all humans and soldiers of the government army right? How did they get those anti-vampire gear? Did the government know the Eternal Blood War existed?"

Will replied:

"All of AVF's weapons were supplied by the weapons company Atlantis, they probably knew about the existence of the war a long time ago. I mean it's clear as day."

Josh said:

"Most of our secrets are known by the government, why don't they inform the people about the blood war?"

Will replied:

"I don't know either, but the AVF is already in the area we're protecting, proving the government must know what great danger is here."

Langress said:

"Whatever it is, the two of us can't trust the AVF, they can totally use us as tools to hunt vampires, so always be on the lookout for them. I don't think the government or them have any simple intentions with us."

Josh replied:

"They're really arrogant, we don't even know how strong they are."

Langress said:

"I don't like their attitude either, they look down on Hybrids and werewolves. Look, they don't even give you a pair of pants. But we shouldn't underestimate them either, especially that Burt guy. Still need to see and know their actual combat experience."

Josh replied:

"Agree."

Will said:

"What about me?"

Langress scratched Will's hair and replied:

"Go to sleep kid, you need time for real hunting."

Langress slapped on Josh's left leg which hurt him a lot and said:

"Good night Josh, you did a great job today."

Josh replied wearily:

"Sleep well."

Langress and Will had left to let Josh rest. He lay down and looked at his right hand, he said:

"How many more werewolves will I kill? And when will I become as brutal as Robzin?"

Josh was exhausted so he fell asleep afterwards.
