"Mikey is not a weak person. He had won the whole dragon society with his skills and wits. You are wrong if you think you can defeat him just because you are strong in martial arts." Glacto, Mikey's left-wing man, spat a mouth full of blood and cursed Ethan.
"Back then, Soloris had just a small gang. Only Mikey had made sure that the gang would get stronger daily. It is his right to win the gang. He is strong, fierce, and witty. It is his hard work that we are here." The man stood up ready to attack again even though it was clear that he did not have a chance.
His legs were shaking and before he could attack, Ethan punched him in his gut. The man spat a mouthful of blood again and fell to the ground.
"You can get rid of me, but you are going to lose in the end," he muttered before closing his eyes.
Ethan shook his head. His eyes were full of pity.
"If only you had shown this loyalty on the right side," he whispered as he kicked the man again.
At this point, he was becoming less and less sensitive to human pain and death.
"But it is much better than being a crybaby and letting them bully me," he smirked and without any hesitation, he crouched on the ground and took out all the cash and gold from the fallen man on the ground.
It has become his habit now. Each time, he got rid of a criminal, he would take their every belonging as a fine for crossing his path.
"It is too bad that most of them have already forgotten your father," he whispered to Mary who was on the call all this time, she wanted to know how he was going to defeat them. She begged that she was worried about him and wanted to be online to make sure that he was safe and promised if he needed any help, she would bring it.
Though they both knew that it would be impossible for a girl on the run to bring help in the den of enemies, "Many people had long determined him as the next boss, so they drifted with the current and supported him in taking up that position. I can smell loyal dogs from far away." The girl bit her lips determined that she would not cry.
Yet he could feel her soft muffled sound and knew that his words had broken her heart.
"But he will die today. And with him, I will make sure that all of those scums leave this world too," he added hurriedly only to hear a sigh from the other side.
"Was that supposed to be a consolation?" she shook her head and wiped the tears off her face.
She did not understand how she stumbled into such a dangerous man. But at the same time, she felt lucky.
"You should not be talking to me but looking at the other side. I am sure four more men would be there at the main door."
"No, you are wrong. There are eight," he whispered as he did in the dark while staring at the long array of muscular men who were guarding the door with their lives. Each of them held a gun and daggers in their pockets.
"He is too ambitious and ruthless." Mary shook her head. She was not at all shocked that he had doubled the guards around the entrance. "He did not hold any ethics and morals. Even if you are a villain, you should have a villain's code of conduct. My father was…" She closed her eyes and went silent again.
Ethan sighed. He understood how the world worked.
Everything he does is to exchange for an even higher backer, to crawl up to a higher position with firm steps.
If nothing unexpected happened, a person like this would be someone who could live till his later years, which was rare in the underworld. This was because he is a traitor, and is clear on how to prevent others from betraying him.
"It is a pity that he did not let you go or he could have lived for a long time," he muttered as he took a step closer. But instead of reaching for the main door, he climbed on the back of the nearby building.
And then he jumped from roof to roof like a professional athlete. He headed toward the brightly lit villa mixing in the night until he was in front of a seven-floor building that belonged to Mikey.
"The house only had three members, Mikey and his sons. His wife had left him long ago when she had come to know that he was a villain. Some say that he had killed her after finding her. But he had always taken good care of his sons."
"There are more than thirty people in the garden and courtyard too." if one would not act carefully, even his pieces could not be counted easily.
"This is not the end, I am sure hundreds of more would be protecting them from inside. Are you sure you want to do it? No one had noticed you. So if you want to return.." she dragged as she did not have the heart to complete. But she would not blame him if he returned. After all, it was impossible to win against many people alone.
She did not even see him with a weapon yet.
"You just cooked dinner before I returned. I do not want to stay hungry after killing so many people." he cut her off and she sighed, closing her eyes.
Infiltrating the villa was not a difficult thing to do for Ethan. But even he was not sure how many people he could handle at once. So far, he has not suffered any setbacks. But that did not mean that he would not bear one. It would be better to finish this task faster and get rid of them most easily.
"I have to find their location first. I will go and catch someone who could guide me about it." With the confirmation in his mind, he jumped from the building again and landed on the roof of Glory Villa where Mikey resides.
