"Listen, child, death doesn't end anything, but only the beginning. I can help you out, make the pain go away. But it's all up to you. It's your choice. Are you willing to accept help from me or not?"
He stretched out his hand for Nicki to take and she stared at it, conflicted. Should she accept the offer coming from this monster or not?
The devil doesn't bargain, that much she knew, but Nicki desperately needed the pain to end. And he just said he could make the pain go away, what if he's not the devil as she had thought? But her very own messiah that God sent to save her from death?
"How?" Nicki hasn't accepted the offer yet but showed some serious interest in it, her mind thinking of how possible what the man said was. He's not human and whatever type of creature he is.
Does he really has the power to make the pain go away?
"I can also heal you completely from cancer, it'll be like an impossible miracle" The man's offer got so tempting that it totally absorbed Nicki.
"What? You…you can also heal me from cancer?" Nicki's eyes almost dropped out of its socket when she was told she could be healed from cancer.
"But how…how is that even possible?. What are you?... Are you some kind of…" As curious as she was, she was unable to tell what kind of creature the man could be.
He first talked about getting rid of the pain and the hurt first and now as well as her cancer too?.
"Shush, you ask way too many questions" The man shushed her, tired of the way she interrogates him like a detective.
"You don't need to know much about me, knowing too much about me won't do you any good" The man warned Nicki but then made her know the least he could about him.
"I'm a werewolf, what you humans like to call a fairytale. And all I have to do is bit you, but first I'd like to warn you of the consequences that follow"
"Werewolf? you must be kidding me. Werewolves aren't real, They are just a myth or you are just trying to play with me" Nicki returned the silly laugh the man once did at her not too long ago.
Could he be a werewolf for real? Or was he just trying to brainwash her into believing he's really one? They are supposed to be mythical creatures only, when did they start to exist?
The man got slightly offended by Nicki's laugh, also why she doesn't believe him too and he let her know it.
"That's why I call you naive, you humans write about us in stories but don't even believe or know we exist. We prefer to keep our existence a secret for your safety, but we are not myths and I'm not the only one out there"
"Wait, so you are actually trying to tell me there are vampires and...witches and….mermaids and another different kind of species out there too?" Nicki got so consumed in knowing more about other fantastical creatures that she forgot about the man's offer.
"I believe that's not what we were talking about" The man reminded her and switched back to the topic they were on.
"I've decided not to kill you since I find your life story pretty amusing and I plan on taking my leave right now if you are not going to accept the offer. Now, do you want to get rid of the cancer or not?" He doesn't plan on staying here any further.
Nicki couldn't help but believe the man is a real-life werewolf as he claimed. "I….I" She was still making up her mind when he reminded her of the consequences that come with his offer for the second time.
"Remember the consequences but you should also choose wisely"
Traveling her mind back to all the werewolf movies she had watched, Nicki imagined herself as one of them and being able to possess every single incredible ability of theirs.
There seem to be no consequences.
"I want you to bit me if that's going to stop the pain and make my cancer go away" Nicki finally had her mind made up.
"The moment I bite you, you are meant to never have suicidal thoughts again" The man had to ask to make sure Nicki never thinks of suicide ever again. Life as a werewolf is full of fun and so many wonders, unlike humans.
"Yea," Nicki accepted to be bitten.
"I'm not a man that makes mistakes so just to be sure I'm not about to make any, are you sure…" The man doesn't accept mistakes. Mistakes are meant to not happen. No one should make a mistake and make up an excuse to cover it.
"Yes, I'm pretty sure, you can turn me to be like you. I don't care about the consequences" Nicki stood firmly with the decision to be bitten. Even leaving the man surprised when she said she doesn't care about the consequences, he was just about to remind her again about it.
"You might be naive but you are not so stupid as I thought" The man let out a cruel smile while Nicki shut her eyes, preparing to be transformed into a completely new being.
"It's going to sting like hell but this is all going to be over in the blink of an eye"

The siren noise coming from the cars of some cops present and surrounded in front of the hospital building put many to fear, especially those who hadn't heard of the abduction that happened earlier.
Nicki's mom could be seen talking to the cops who came to investigate her baby's abduction, while Tori was outside the room on a bench with her dad who comforted her and tried to make her stop crying.
"It's okay, Tori. I'm pretty sure she just went out to hang somewhere. Your mom can be quite dramatic sometimes, but you and I know how much Nicki hates staying at this place. Let's just hope she comes back soon" Nicki's dad doesn't know what to believe anymore.
However, he just didn't want Tori to believe her little sis was abducted like everyone's putting the story now.
"You can't be sure about that, Dad. It's been hours since she left and even if Nicki did go to hang somewhere, she never stays out this late" Tori got off her dad's lap where she had her head rested on and sniffed.
Her dad sighed, disappointed he was unable to make her stop thinking Nicki was abducted.
"What if she's abducted for real, Dad? It's all my fault, I should have kept a closer eye on her, I shouldn't have gone to use the restroom. It was the moment I was gone that she disappeared" Guilt kept on infiltrating Tori's heart each time she recalled Nicki was gone when she left to use the restroom.
If only she had known on time that would be the last time she would ever see Nicki before the abduction, then Tori would have kept herself stuck forever in the room with her.
"Hey, Hey baby girl, It's not your fault, Tori. Don't put this on you, It hasn't been concluded yet that your sister was abducted. As I said, let's just believe she might have gone to hang somewhere. Maybe she decided to stay out too long this time, okay? So, please don't blame yourself"
Tori got embraced by her dad and she found good comfort in it. She held him tightly, crying her eyes out.
However, the real traumatizing heartbreak was about to set in when they got called into the room by the cops and Tori saw something like a letter in her mom's hand and slowly took it away from her.
Her mom's sniff and wails coming from the grief of what she had just read were the only things that could be heard in the silence-dead-filled room.
While the cops kept on raiding the place, searching for more evidence on the hospital bed, where they found the suicidal note to know if there was more to this new case or if it was just suicide as it is written on the note.
Tori covered her mouth, her cries sounding more like gasps this time than how loud she was contemplating to her dad before they both got called into this room.
"What is it, Tori?" Her dad asked, moving to grab the letter from her to read it by himself and know what was there. His wife could barely talk, looking like her soul just left her body.
With his eyes firmly fixed on the note, Mark refused to believe what he read right now. But he couldn't doubt that this wasn't his daughter's handwriting, all of them are too close to her to know every single thing about Nicki, including some of her secrets too.
With agony hitting him, Mark was swept down to his knees. He was acting strong like a man, acting like a comforter to both his wife and remaining daughter when he was also badly affected by his other daughter's abduction.
However, all hope was lost the moment he read the suicide note. Highly dispirited, Mark broke into tears like a kid.
