(WARNING: This story is heavily anime inspired. This story takes inspiration from other stories. I DO NOT take credit for any of their works, or ideas. This story is my own original work of art, but was created with both my ideas, and the inspiration from various anime, video games, and movies. The hope is that if you like my story, then perhaps you may give these other stories a chance as well. I edit my own story, so certain parts may change. Thank you for your support) Our story takes place on the planet Sarina, where a major conflict is on the horizon. After overpopulating Earth, the humans had no choice but to move to another planet for extra living capacity. Because of the difference in gravity in the two planets, special living accommodations had to be made. This planet also had vast resources that could be used for technological advances. In addition, the effect of having less gravity made the humans able to think and do more. They began to advance in all sorts of weaponry, AI, and mental capacity. They began to think of endless possibilities, and if everything they knew was really what it seemed to be. With all of these advances, the human race looked to be more prosperous than ever. However, there is always bound to be some sort of conflict among humans. And that conflict came in the form of revolution. Tired from corrupt leaders using their power to make everyone but themselves poor, an uprising group called The Principality of Shirina, staged a violent coup. With promises to lead Sarina with peace, freedom, justice, and security, many followed their way. However, there were some, including the master of Shenrei Densetsu, Master Tazz, who would not stand idle for such a violent coup. When people began to speak out against them, they were violently executed. Believing his master to be dead, The Principality took in Shenrei, and turned him into a Shirinan. During this time, The Principality had done everything they could to stop anything related to the belief of the Sarlen, their only opposition. The Sarlen, a celestial race with a mix of human blood and pre human magic, powers come from the belief that they exist, thus they fade away if nobody is actively believing in them. With nobody left to oppose them, The Principality of Shirina (POS) have been able to rule freely with little opposition. With all of their power and resources, they plan to work on new weaponry and continue to spread their influence of power. With Shenrei as the commanding officer of her military, The “Mistress of Evil” Shirina, believes that she has nothing to worry about. The legend of the ”Violet Shock” has instilled fear into all of those who even dare oppose The Principality. Unbeknownst to them, Shenrei has deep hatred for the entire family, and seeks revenge for the “death” of his master. After hearing of a great power in Wabba City, Lady Shirina sends Shenrei and some soldiers to go on a reconnaissance mission. With Shenrei wanting to indulge in his own ambitions, however, he simply leaves. However, the soldiers become reckless, and do things their own way. Despite the efforts of four friends by the name of Jin, Khan, Sonjo, and Skia’, they are entirely powerless to save Sarina. The Sarlen, up to this point, have been gone for millennia. Ever since The Principality had taken over, their life essence had been constantly waning. With their power regained, the Sarlen look to defend those who had forgotten them. Led by C, Ja’Skaar and Baron Hampton, they have declared war on The Principality. The battle for the fate and future for all of Sarina, has officially begun.

Ayumi: Jin, there she is!

Jin: Yeah, I know. There's only one way to wake her up. WAKEY WAKEY WAKEY! *He claps really loud, but she doesn't wake up.* Well, that was my best plan.

Ayumi: Don't worry Jin, I got this. Hey Roux, if you don't wake up, you have to wear this shirt saying "raise the steaks".

*Just then Roux wakes up dazed.*

Roux: Ayumi? Jin?

Jin: Woohoo! It worked!

Ayumi: Looks like even without the shirt, the steaks have been raised!

Roux: What're you two doing here? And why is Ayumi all ghost-like? Don't tell me… Did you get yourself killed Jin?

Ayumi: Of course not, he's one of the main characters. And the fans said they want more episodes before we end this adventure.

Roux: What?

Jin: Yeah uhhh that's not entirely true. We came here to bring you back with us.

Roux: And how do you plan to do that?

Jin: Haven't a clue really. Alright Ayumi, what's the plan?

Ayumi: THAT… I don't know.

Jin/Roux: *In unison* AYUMI!

Ayumi: HEY! I helped you get here in the first place, you should be grateful.

Jin: Of course there just had to be some shenanigans at play. In any case, once we get you out of uhh, whatever this place is, we can bring you back to life.

Roux: What's wrong with this place?

Jin: You can't be serious…

Roux: Look at my face, do you really wanna question if I'm serious?

Jin: Roux, this place is literal darkness. I can't even tell if I'm stepping on the ground or just air. This place is an edgelord's dream. How are you able to function here?

Roux: This is what my spirit was like when I shared it with you.

Jin: I have no idea how you're still alive…

Ayumi: Because you are.

Jin: Fair point.

Roux: So, what's happened while I was gone?

Jin: A LOT! First, C and Shenrei merged and became this almighty Sarlen like being. Then we tried to destroy him, and we won, but then he came right back as if nothing happened. So Sonjo and I had to fuse, and then we-

Roux: Wait, you and Sonjo fused?

Ayumi: Yeah, I thought it was weird too.

Jin: Anywho, we managed to seal Zen away for a bit, but we only have a limited amount of time before he comes back.

Roux: So, what now?

Jin: First we need to get you out of here.

Roux: Give me a moment, I have an idea. *She closes her eyes and begins focusing*

Ayumi: Uhhh Roux?

Jin…

*Just then, the area around them begins to change entirely. The endless void of darkness has now transitioned to what feels like a beach at night. The feel of the darkness is still there, but not as strong as it was before.*

Jin/Ayumi: *In unison* Whoa…

Jin: It's strange… I can still feel the despair, but it's not as strong as before.

Roux: It won't go away completely, not until I rid the world of my problems.

Ayumi: The Principality, right. Well, I have some good news. Since your spirit is currently in a peaceful enough state, I can return your spirit to you without needing Jin's heart or spirit. You can come back to the real world with us, entirely as Roux

Roux: I'll be able to see my sister again?

Ayumi: Sure will!

Jin: And we can save the world together?

Ayumi: Mhm!

Jin: Alright! That's fantastic! I'm so happy for you Roux.

Ayumi: However… In order for me to do this, Roux will have to forget about you. Once we leave here, she won't remember anything about you, or your time together.

*They both stand there in silence, shaken to their core by the news they've just heard.*

Jin: But then…

Roux: What originally bound us together… It'll be like it never happened?

Jin: Is this the sacrifice you were mentioning earlier? Is this why you said I'm the only one who could bring her back?

Ayumi: I'm sorry Jin, this is the only way.

*The two of them stand in silence, emotions and thoughts racing through their minds…*

Roux: In that case, I can't do it.

Jin: What?

Roux: Jin, I appreciate you coming here to try and save me. But if living means losing my memory of us, then I can't do it.

Jin: But Roux you-

Roux: *Sadness begins to overcome her* You and Fadra are the only two people I have ever loved, WILL ever love. I've already died, but it's better than losing either of you. I can't go on living in that world without you!

Jin: Roux… I… *He walks over to hug her* Sheesh Roux, I didn't realize you cared so much. I know, I understand just how much you're hurting. But Roux, I'm only alive right now because you saved my life. Even if you hadn't, you deserve to live. You deserve to come back with us. I'm sorry Roux, but you still do have a home and someone to go back to. And I can't tell you how happy that makes me. Besides, even if we forget each other, our hearts are still connected.

Roux: Right. Forgotten, but not lost.

Jin: We'll always be together, in some way. You understand don't you? We can be together anytime Roux.

Roux: Yeah…

Jin: C'mon, everyone's waiting.

Ayumi: Are you both ready?

Jin: Yeah, it's back to the world we know

*The two of them are slowly pulled back to the real world by Ayumi. The way back is bittersweet. For while it marks the beginning of a new life for one, it marks the end of a journey for two…*

Jin: *Wakes up from the realm of evanescent*

Sonjo: Jin!

Khan: You're fine!

Jin: Fine is one way of putting it. Where's Roux?

Fadra: She's over here. She hasn't woken up yet, but she is breathing.

Jin: Whew, thank goodness for that.

Capt. Maeko: While we have the time, I'd like for everyone to go and do whatever they please. When tomorrow comes, the war will be over, for better or worse. I won't lie to you, things look grim. So enjoy the free time you have now. Come tomorrow, we're ending this war, and we're going to come out victorious.

Alex: Yeah, the calm before the storm.

Capt. Maeko: We have just 23 hours before the fate of the world is decided once and for all. Let's enjoy these moments, enjoy them like we never have before.

*They all prepare to go off and do whatever they see fit. For some, it's much easier to just relax and enjoy their time. For others, this time will be used to reflect on what was, and what has been lost. 23 hours, that's all that's left before the fate of the world is decided. A lot can happen in that time, and only time will reveal its significance.*
