Chapter .13 Unity

Lee sought Uzume-san's approval with a glance before speaking, and she nodded. Hiruzen couldn't help but notice their silent exchange. It was clear that whatever Lee was about to say was serious, given that he required Uzume-san's approval. Despite Lee's youth, Hiruzen knew that Uzume-san's endorsement meant he shouldn't dismiss the matter lightly.

Lee steadied himself, inhaling deeply before meeting Hiruzen's gaze. "If I'm not mistaken, the founding of this village is deeply tied to the Uchiha clan and the Senju clan." Hiruzen nodded in agreement, "You are right. Despite the history of conflict between them, Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha set aside their differences and united their clans to build the hidden village of Leaf." It was a remarkable feat, one that required tremendous effort and cooperation from both sides.

Lee couldn't help but wonder what it must have been like to witness such a historic moment. Hiruzen could sense Lee's curiosity and continued, "The Uchiha and Senju both played crucial roles in the establishment of our village. They were the foundation upon which Konoha was built."Lee listened intently, absorbing every word Hiruzen spoke.

With Hokage's complete attention now on him, Lee knew it was the perfect opportunity to express his thoughts. "Every time I visit the market, all I see are Uchiha clan members working as policemen. Why can't the entire village work together as a united force? If the Uchiha make a mistake, it's so easy for them to be solely blamed." Hiruzen listened intently to Lee's insightful words agreed with his perspective and said, "But if all the clans work together as a police force, no single clan can be held accountable. It may be difficult, but with time, it can be achieved,"

Lee nodded in agreement with Hokage's words, feeling a sense of validation for his thoughts. "I understand, Graps. It will take time to change people's perceptions and reform the system, but I believe it's worth the effort," he said earnestly.

Hiruzen smiled, pleased with Lee's determination. "I'm glad to hear that, Lee. Your conviction is admirable. I will bring this matter to the council and discuss the possibility of implementing a more inclusive approach to our law enforcement," he assured Lee.

As they continued their conversation, Lee couldn't help but feel a sense of optimism. Maybe, just maybe, change was on the horizon for the village. And if he could have a small part in making that change happen, it would be more than he could have ever hoped for.

As Hiruzen spoke, Uzami chimed in, "This concept can be applied to all units within the village, including the hospital. We should consider encouraging Uchiha and Hyuga to work in the medical field, as their Dojutsu abilities would allow them to understand treatments on a deeper level." Hiruzen also suggested from a political perspective, "This could also contribute to repairing any lingering animosity towards them within the village."

Lee was also inspired by Uzami-san's words and felt even more determined to push for change. With the support of the Hokage and Uzami-san, he felt emboldened to continue advocating for a more inclusive and united approach within the village.

As the meeting drew to an end, Lee realized that this was only the start of a long journey, but one he was eager to embark on. Hiruzen, of course, couldn't help but see Lee's deep affection for his village and his unwavering determination. He had just discovered a new cornerstone for the village, and with Naruto by his side, they had a promising future ahead.

As Hiruzen was about to leave, Lee approached him and presented a scroll. "I have created this technique and with the help of Onee-san, I modified it specifically for you. Consider it a gift from both of us," Lee explained. Hiruzen glanced at Uzume for validation. "This training method may be 'old', but the boy developed it on his own," Uzume confirmed.

Hiruzen examined the scroll and inquired, "What made you alter the original?" Having mastered every jutsu in the village, he was intrigued by the change and why it was intended specifically for him.

Lee explained, "As you can see, my chakra network is mutated, rendering me unable to use chakra in the traditional sense. Instead of settling for being a regular shinobi, I have chosen to chart a different path for myself, one where I can realize my full potential with the help of Onee-san." Hiruzen felt a pang of sadness upon learning about Lee's inability to use chakra, but his spirits were lifted as he listened to Lee's determination.

Hiruzen turned to Uzume and asked, "Do you think Lee has what it takes to become a great ninja?" Uzume smiled and nodded, "I have no doubt. Lee's dedication and passion for growth are truly inspiring. With the right guidance and support, he has the potential to surpass even the greatest ninjas." Hiruzen nodded in agreement, feeling reassured that the future of the village was in good hands.

"Grandpa, this technique is designed to help you heal your old battle wounds and recover more quickly during future battles. Once you have mastered it, be sure to destroy it, rather than storing it for future use." Hiruzen was not just surprised, he was utterly bewildered by the profound effects of this technique. Some battle wounds simply do not heal - they only continue to accumulate. This is why the lifespan of a shinobi grows shorter with each battle.

Uzume's actions were truly astonishing. With a gentle touch, she spoke the words, "Hiruzen, put your chakra in the scroll." As he followed her instructions, a seal appeared on the surface. "Now, no one can access or take it but Hiruzen," she declared. Lee stood in awe of her abilities. "I still have much to learn," he realized once more.

Hiruzen nodded in acknowledgement and accepted the scroll from Lee. "Thank you, Lee. I will make sure to give it the attention it deserves," he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in the young ninja's determination and ingenuity. He made a mental note to keep an eye on Lee's progress and to offer any support he could.
