Chapter 69 - The Spar

A few weeks passed in a blink of an eye since Kagami helped Mira achieve and gain the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. In the next few days since he helped her achieve hers, he did the same after building a few machines to help him. Which went off without a hitch even if it hurt since he could only numb the operation somewhat.

After which, when he recovered and his eyes were back up to standard. He stored his eyes alongside Mira's in a location no one will be able to find them. Well, besides themselves that is.

Now back in the area around the Valley of the End. Kagami was lightly stretching while Mira stood across from him doing a similar action. Both were wearing their normal mission outfits and had their weapons nearby.

"Even if you can't win, I won't make it easy for you." Mira grinned.

"Mother, as long as you can make him bring me out. It's already a win one can be proud of." Asura puffed out his chest.

"Thanks," Mira blankly said.

"Mama, Brother is right. Papa is just too strong." Kōsetsu added in.

"He is a person and not a god." Mira grumbled. "I'm sure I can do more than just that."

"Father is far stronger than he shows. Very few can match him, if any at all." Asura replied.

"Whose side are you on?" Mira complained to them.

"When it comes to knowledge and fighting. Only Fathers' side." Both Asura and Kōsetsu answered.

Mira gave up trying to talk to the two mischief nine tails sitting beside them. Clearly it was a battle she wasn't going to win. Much like this upcoming spar, since she could already see the result.

"Alright, you three. Let's get this started." Kagami said.

The two nine tails clapped paws before jumping into the seals rearing to go. This is going to be a great spar and allow their father to show off some of his might. Which is going to be amazing.

"Are we going all out at the start or build up to it?" Kagami asked.

"All out as I might not last until reaching the later stage. As much as I hate to admit it." Mira sighed with a smile.

Then in a burst of orange flames with black markings appearing on her clothes and face. Mira activated Kōsetsu Chakra Mode and kicked off the ground. Her body vanished faster than most eyes can see and even experienced shinobi can process. Yet, Kagami just raised his sword blocking her gunbai.

Then he gave her a heavy kick, flinging her away and creating space between them. However, he was still fairly relaxed, not activating his Asura Chakra Mode, Sage Mode or even his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. Instead he just began unleashing his chakra as the ground and air around him began to tremble slightly.

"Papa, by himself, is slightly terrifying." Kōsetsu slightly whimpered inside Mira. "Mama, please be careful."

"Don't worry, he won't hurt me too bad." Mira responded as beads of sweat coated her forehead.

While they often have spars together, Kagami usually isn't as terrifying since he usually doesn't unleash his chakra like this. However, before she could think much or launch her next attack, Kagami seemed to tap the ground and vanished. Right before he appeared above her and brought down his leg like an ax.

Blitzing away, Mira kept on running as a large creator appeared with him as the epic center. Which felt inhumane as it looked like an aftermath of Tsunade stronger strikes. Well what she could dig up in the files Danzo had laying around while sorting and cleaning up.

Then in a blitz movement, Kagami moved again as did Mira before they appeared once more. Their fist connected as a sound similar to a sonic boom was heard around them. Before Kagami smirked, Mira and Kōsetsu became slightly horrified. For his dark eyes turned amber and a shadow trim appeared around his eyes.

"Avatar state, now Mama!" Kōsetsu basically screamed.

In an instant Mira shot up into the air as a large semi-transparent fox with nine tails appeared around her. Which wasn't a moment too soon as even then as tall as the fox stood. They were forced to yank their heads upwards as standing before them, a terrifying sight stood before them.

"How is this fair?" Mira whimpered. "He didn't tell me he could do something like this."

"Mama, I think it best we start running." Kōsetsu cried as hundreds of hands began rushing towards them.

On top of the large Buddha head, Kagami smiled as he directed the statue to capture the two. While it seemed cheap, it was fun to use this move and watch them run around trying to escape his grasp.

"Father, you promised I could come out to play." Asura whined. "At this rate you will win before I can."

"Well I guess they did ask to go all out." Kagami hummed as his mouth curled up a bit more.

Then his body erupted into golden light similar to Mira with black marking appearing on his body. Even a robe appeared on his body similar to that of what Minato wore when he became Hokage. While his amber eyes darken as a pattern appeared on his irises.

"Let's go, Asura." Kagami jumped off the statue's head after deactivating it.

He left the statue there more so for a complex environment that outstretched arms gave. While in an instant a second nine tails appeared, which was followed by it being coated with purple armor.

Far away in a tree, Taiyō sat in a tree looking at the scene. A proud smile appeared on his lips as he saw with his own eyes at how far these two grew in strength. Though his eye twitched at his grandson's antics as it seemed like he was playing around with Mira then actually sparring seriously. Though given Mira's struggling position, he felt scared of those that could bring out his grandson's serious side.

Also far away watching the scene unfold, Hiruzen was coughing violently as he watched. So many questions were raised, but the main one was how the two have tailed beasts. Much less the two having nine tail foxes, when he was sure that it was sealed within Naruto Uzumaki.

Then, his eye twitched at the large wooden statue with hundreds of hands. After rubbing his forehead once more, he turned and left. His only thoughts now were to make Kagami Hokage and he can retire. He was too old to deal with such monsters.

"Kagami!" Mira shouted as she threw a large rock at him.

Grinning, Kagami pulled out the sword as they were still in the chakra avatar state. Then he swung upwards sending strong gusts of wind as he split the rock apart and grinned at Mira as she pulled out her own chakra sword she gained from the Sunasoo.

Yet as the swords connected, Mira was pushed back as she didn't have natural energy to buff her. It also forced her to deactivate the avatar state which Kagami followed suit.

"It's time to end this." Kagami grinned before he positioned his hands in a very familiar way to Mira. "Konohagakure Hiden Secret Taijutsu Technique: One Thousand Years of Death!"

"Kagami!" Mira shouted as she launched off into the air barely dodging his strike.

However, she soon found herself in his arms with him grinning as he gave her a light peck on the cheek. Which also signaled the end of the spar and her defeat which made it worse once she realized he was messing around since the beginning.

"We will have a rematch later."

"Of course." Kagami grinned.
