Becoming stronger

Kaito was at the back of his house, talking to his mother, Hana.

After they were dismissed, everyone returned to their homes, while Haruki went out to deliver the report to the Hokage.

"Mom, I want to learn new Water Style Jutsus. I've already mastered all the ones you taught me," Kaito said, puffing out his chest with pride.

"That's great, my son. Of course, I'll teach you many more ninjutsu, even more powerful than the ones I've taught you. Tonight, I'll teach you Wind Style Jutsu as well. Depending on your progress, in about three days, I'll teach you how to use your Kekkei Genkai," his mother replied, looking at him with loving eyes.

Kaito was surprised but quickly became happy. This was what he wanted, to become stronger. One way to achieve that was by using his Kekkei Genkai.

'Great, I'll train like crazy in Suiton and Fuuton so she can teach me soon.' Kaito thought as his eyes sparkled.

Hana noticed her son's excitement.

"Let's begin. I'll start teaching you now," she said, moving closer to him.

"The jutsu I'm going to teach you is called the Water Barrier Technique, a C-rank jutsu. When used, it forms a water barrier around you." After saying this, she taught him the necessary hand seals, which Kaito quickly memorized.

Once Kaito had memorized them, she demonstrated how to use it by performing the jutsu in front of him. A large amount of water spewed from her mouth and covered her completely in the form of a sphere.

"Now, give it a try," his mother encouraged him.

Kaito started forming the necessary hand seals, concentrating hard to not make any mistakes. After completing the last seal, he spewed a reasonable amount of water that covered him in a spherical form.

His mother wasn't surprised; given the talent users of Hyouton had for water and wind, it was normal for him to succeed on his first try.

"Now that you've managed to use this jutsu, the next step is to train to use it efficiently. You can reduce the number of hand signs in the future, and it will be very useful in battle," she told him seriously.

"Now, I'll teach you another jutsu called the Giant Water Bullet Jutsu, also a C-rank technique. When you use this jutsu, a short burst of water is shot from your mouth at the enemy, causing a great impact. Depending on the amount of chakra you use, it can be stronger or weaker. In essence, this jutsu is an evolution of the Water Bullet Jutsu I taught you earlier." After explaining, she taught him the hand seals again, which he memorized just as easily as before.

Hana used a hand seal, and a large amount of water gushed from her mouth towards a straw dummy.

BOOM!

A loud noise was heard as the water hit the dummy, which was thrown away, hardly resembling its original form.

The dummy was completely shattered, with no intact parts left, and where it had fallen, there was a hole created by the impact of the water.

Kaito's eyes nearly popped out; this was very powerful. Seriously, he didn't expect it to be this strong. He was sure that if it were him in place of the dummy, he wouldn't be any better. This jutsu would probably break all his bones.

'Man, and this is just a C-rank jutsu.' Kaito thought as he began forming the hand seals. Unlike his mother, who needed only one seal, he had to execute five different seals.

A stream of water smaller than what his mother had used and with less power shot out of his mouth at high speed towards the dummy, which unfortunately became another victim of a fatal blow, being thrown far away.

Upon closer inspection, the dummy had broken in half.

"Good job, my son. With more training, you'll be able to fire it multiple times. For instance, I can shoot ten in a row," his mother said while patting his son's head.

Kaito imagined the scene, and it would undoubtedly be terrifying.

"To wrap it up, I'll teach you one last technique: the Water Dragon Jutsu. With the amount of chakra you have now, I think you can use it only once, but it will be a lifesaver. You'll start going on Genin missions with your team soon, so you need to be prepared. I know there aren't any dangerous missions yet, but sooner or later, you'll face more perilous ones, and it's good to have a powerful jutsu," his mother said with a worried look on her face as she began teaching the necessary hand seals.

She advised him not to try using it inside the house as it could cause some damage, so they decided to use it another time.

The day

was coming to an end, so they decided to rest.

"Son, after resting for a while, call your friend Naruto. I want to teach both of you Wind Style ninjutsu," she said before getting up and kissing her son's forehead, then slowly walking to the kitchen.

Kaito relaxed on the grass.

A few hours later

Kaito had already taken a bath and changed clothes, walking through the streets.

Konoha's streets were bustling even at night, and it was very peaceful.

Arriving at Naruto's place, he knocked on the door.

Knock, knock, knock.

Naruto came out rubbing his eyes and looking sleepy.

"Hey, Naruto, are you already sleepy? Haha, I thought you'd be more excited after meeting your new sensei," Kaito said, laughing at Naruto's defeated look.

"Hmm, that lazy sensei had us waiting and even made up a story for his delay. You should've seen it. He also gave us a test for tomorrow at 5 in the morning and told us not to have breakfast. It's so unfair," Naruto complained for a while.

"I believe you, Naruto, but I know you'll pass. After all, you're going to become Hokage, right?" Kaito said, patting Naruto on the back.

"That's right, Kaito! I'll pass all the tests, and I'll show everyone how I'll become the strongest Hokage. Am I right?" Naruto laughed as he spoke.

"By the way, Naruto, my mother invited you to come to our house for training. She wants to teach us new ninjutsu. Are you coming?" Kaito reminded Naruto of the reason he had come here.

"Yes, Kaito, I need to get stronger," Naruto said, raising his arm and clenching his fist tightly.

'Surely you'll become strong, Naruto, especially when you befriend Kurama and with the new ninjutsu you're learning now. You'll be much stronger than in the anime, where you mainly used Rasengan and its countless variations, as well as the Kage Bunshin.' Kaito thought as Naruto talked about getting stronger.

"Sure thing, Naruto. My mother is also going to teach us how to walk on water today, just like walking on walls, but in water. It's a bit more challenging because of the waves and water density, but it won't be too difficult. This will help you a lot," Kaito told Naruto about walking on water.

He hadn't learned it yet, but since he was going to ask his mother to teach Naruto, he would take the opportunity to learn it himself.

"Unfair, you should've fallen too," Naruto said in dissatisfaction.

"But with your Shadow Clone Jutsu, you'll find it easy. You can leave them to practice walking on water while you learn Wind Style Jutsu," Kaito suggested, and Naruto quickly agreed, afraid of getting wet.

"So, let's go, Naruto. I have to wake up early tomorrow," and with that, Kaito closed the door of his quarters.

"Let's do this," Kaito said.

And so, Kaito and Naruto headed to the Kazeji Residence.
