Chapter 7: Chidori Stinger

The Chidori is the attempt to apply lightning chakra to a jutsu that is solely focused on shape transformation.

From what I understand it should be extremely difficult to add any type of elemental chakra to a jutsu like the Rasengan. Chakra is difficult to control and change when it is wound together in a sphere like shape.

The nature transformation can only take place while the chakra has not yet formed into a sphere. This however, messes up the shape of the jutsu, which is why the Chidori does not have the same pressure and strength as the Rasengan.

Attempting to add lightning nature chakra to a shape like a sphere is difficult because the sphere will lose its perfect shape and collapse into itself or become a lopsided mess.

The first step to fix this problem is to chose a different shape altogether when transforming the chakra of the jutsu into lightning chakra. A shape that would be suitable for lighting jutsu is an erratic line or form that doesn't necessarily need a high level of chakra control to use.

An example of this would be Kakashi's Lightning Beast Tracking Fang. Although it may seem more complex than the Chidori it's actually easier to use due to its loose frame.

Another example would be Sasuke's Chidori Senbon which uses a needle like shape that shoots out in a straight line. This jutsu is even easier to use because it doesn't require a constant source of chakra like the Lightning Beast Tracking Fang.

Unlike the former however, the Chidori Senbon cannot be controlled after being used because there is no lightning chakra connecting the user to the jutsu.

All of the variants that come after the original Chidori are more effective because they abandon what the original tried to do, adding lightning chakra to a sphere.

Keeping that in mind I know what the best shape for my "Chidori" is, a stinger similar to that of a scorpion. A stinger made of chakra could still be connected to me and act as a third limb to attack with.

The original Chidori uses thrust to inject lightning chakra into an opponent, I can use the same principle with a stinger that can move and bend flexibly while still being easy to control.

I've made a diagram for the shape of the stinger and I've vaguely tried to guess the amount of chakra I would need to use a jutsu like this. If I'm correct I should be able to attempt this at least twice.

I only have these two tries so I better make them count. If I fail now I'll have to wait until I'm older to try this again. Without protection my skin will burn from the lightning chakra so I have to be careful.

I grab both the Soldier's Pill and Whistle Blower from my inventory and put them in my mouth. I swallow the pill but push the leaf up against the roof of my mouth. For whatever reason this is the requirement to use the leaf.

The "Whistle Blower" is a unique leaf, it produces a loud sound very similar to that of a dog whistle. I've covered my room with paper and pushed all my stuff to the walls in an attempt to reduce the noise.

The Chidori is extremely loud so I made sure that my mother wasn't in the house while this is happening, she should be shopping for the next 2 hours so I have time.

"Attempt #1."

I direct half of my chakra towards the palm of my right hand and speed through the hand signs.

Monkey.

Dragon.

Rat.

Bird.

Ox.

Snake.

Dog.

Tiger.

Monkey.

Blue lightning chakra slowly forms in my hands as I focus it all into a small condensed sphere the size of a dodge ball. Before it can begin to collapse I cover my left hand in chakra and press it against the lightning ball in my right hand.

"Oh fuck!"

I feel a sharp pain in my left hand but I try to ignore it as I forcefully smooth out the ball into a long thick stick of lightning chakra.

After doing this I take a deep breath to prepare myself and move the blue lightning stick in my right hand to the inside of my left arm's elbow.

"Dammit!!"

The pain makes stop for a few seconds before I continue to push chakra to my left arm. Over the course of a few minutes I slowly connect the lightning chakra to the tenketsu in my arm.

After doing this I completely let go of the lightning chakra and try my best to move it through my tenketsu. As I do this the skin on my arm peels off and the smoky smell of meat wafts the room.

I push all the remaining chakra in my body to this new limb after fully connecting it to my internal chakra system.

It grows and becomes three times longer than my actual arm, small details also begin to show through the lightning chakra as I get used to controlling the chakra limb.

At the head of the lightning chakra forms a sharp bulb that has spiky indents and a long thin stinger over a foot long.

I think I finally did it, on my first try as well. The result is extremely rewarding, I've made a chakra limb the can move completely by itself without having to move any muscles in my arm. Its four times thicker than my forearm and three times longer than the arm its connected to.

Its separated into thick fat sections that can move very flexibly like a tail of some sorts. The most impressive thing about it is the enormous stinger at the end of the chakra limb.

Its purposefully designed to be difficult to remove from a person bodies with its hair like spikes the dig into flesh. I plan to use this as an instant kill move whenever someone gets close to me.

The stinger will lodge itself into someone with incredible speed and when that person tries to remove it the reverse facing spikes will pull on their internal organs and immediately kill them.

In glad I did all of this, not only did I learn the Chidori I also developed my own variant.
