Chapter 89 : Chunin Exam Finals 7

Before Shika could respond, Kabuto, who had been knocked down just moments ago, started to stir. His eyes fluttered open, and he pushed himself up, groaning slightly. "You sure got some pesky pets, Shika kun," Kabuto muttered, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. "And what about you, Sasuke Kun, are you also planning on fighting me." Kabuto asked to which Sasuke didn't directly reply.

Shika tensed, knowing the fight wasn't over. Kabuto's chakra flared again, his injuries quickly healing as he used his medical ninjutsu.

'Ah, I almost forgot that he can also use healing jutsu. Sigh.' Shika can't help but call out troublesome right then and there.

Without warning, Kabuto lunged at Sasuke, chakra scalpel glowing in his hand. Sasuke was quick, dodging to the side and countering with a swift kick aimed at Kabuto's head. Kabuto blocked it with his arm but was pushed back slightly by the force.

Shika didn't waste any time. While Sasuke engaged Kabuto head-on, Shika formed hand signs and sent his shadow across the battlefield, trying to catch Kabuto in his Shadow Possession Jutsu again. But Kabuto was quick, moving unpredictably to avoid being trapped.

Sasuke charged at Kabuto, throwing a flurry of kunai at him. Kabuto deflected the kunai with ease, but Sasuke wasn't done. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Sasuke shouted, unleashing a massive fireball toward Kabuto.

Kabuto barely dodged in time, the flames scorching the ground where he had just stood. "Impressive," Kabuto said with a grin, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "But you'll need more than that to stop me."

As Kabuto focused on Sasuke, Shika's shadow finally reached him. "Got you!" Shika shouted, successfully trapping Kabuto in his Shadow Possession Jutsu. Kabuto's movements froze as Shika's shadow locked him in place.

Sasuke didn't hesitate. He rushed forward, his Sharingan spinning as he prepared to strike. "It's over!" Sasuke yelled, thrusting his Chidori directly at Kabuto.

Shika seeing this smirk, he knew that Sasuke was learning Chidori under Kakashi. Now he wonders, he have Sharingan right, so can't he use Chidori by using Nue's lightning. Will need training but it's certainly possible.

Kabuto's eyes widened in surprise.

He knew this Jutsu, this was Kakashi's trademark jutsu, he knew that if he got hit then it would he over for him, but he couldn't move due to the shadow binding him.

Sasuke rushes at Kabuto and directly attacks him, but at the last second Kabuto's Chakra flare up to get out of the Shadow binding.

Though he wasn't able to get away from the Chidori, he was able to prevent his vitals from piercing.

"Hold him..." Sasuke seeing his smack his tongue and shouted at Shika.

"I'm trying!" Shika yelled back, his muscles straining to keep Kabuto locked in place. Sweat dripped down his face as he pushed his chakra to the limit.

'Jonin level indeed.' Shika can't help but agree.

Kabuto seeing the shadow loosening, jumped back while trying to heal the hole on his abdomen caused by Sasuke's Chidori.

Sasuke collapsed to one knee, exhausted from the effort. "Damn it," he muttered, frustrated that Kabuto had escaped again.

Just as Shika thought, right now using Chidori for one time alone is his limit. Maybe he can use it another one time but that was it.

Sasuke glanced back at Shika, his Sharingan still deactivating. "Give me 2 minutes."

"Yeah," Shika said, panting.

He too was running out of chakra, making that clone active, and using that large-scale hidden mist jutsu was too much.

But that was when he smirked. "Seems like I gotta use this nonetheless."

He there wa a smile on his face and he immediately took out a scroll.

The next second he felt his Chakra replenishing.

'Knew this was a brilliant idea.' Shika felt his chakra replenishing thought. The scroll in his hand was a chakra replenishment scroll which he himself created. Now there doesn't exist anything like this in the Naruto world but he was able to make one with all the things he had in his disposal.

It was pretty simple, he created a Shadow clone and then sealed that clone inside the scroll. Usually, a clone should have half of his chakra. He seals two clones together, putting around 66% of his chakra inside the scroll.

Now here was the interesting thing, The clone when pop does return some of the used chakra but not all.

But when the seal in the scroll, almost 100% of the chakra is there, no wastage, all Shika have to do is absorb that chakra right from the seal itself, he doens't even have to unseal his clone, and the chakra is there, just absorb the chakra right from the scroll. And the best part, its his chakra, meaning his body doesn't need to process that chakra before using it, aka no backslash...

Kabuto, now standing a few meters away, looked at the two of them with a wary smile. His wound was still bleeding.

"You both are indeed genius, I have to say that Mr Orochimaru didn't choose wrong." Kabuto said but then his attention turned to Shika who was smiling at him while he though the scroll in his hand to the ground and then slammed his hands together.

"You know what, fuck it..." Shika said this and the next second his eyes changed only for a second... making Kabuto's eyes go wide before a dazed look appeared on his face.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes. "Genjutsu."

Before Kabuto could make another move, Shika was ready and a jet of water left his palm.

Kabuto came out of the B-rank Genjutsu almost immediately, he really had good control over his chakra, but Shika's technique was faster.

"Convergence."

Sasuke only saw a jet of highly pressurized water rush at Kabuto with his Sharingan, even his Sharingan wasn't able to see the speed of that attack completely.

And it directly pierces Kabuto's heart...even making the man with glasses unaware of what just happened.

Sasuke sees this frown. He looked back at Shika asking what was that.

"You ain't the only person who learn new tricks." Shika to this just smirk and reply.

Sasuke frowns further because he remembers that this looks very similar to that one water-style technique Shika used to stop his fireball in their fight.

He can't help but gulp internally.

'What if he used this technique back then ?'

I'll say Convergence is on par with both Chidori and Rasengan, at least there normal variants.
