Chapter 3

Time passes like a river and soon I turned twelve years old. War has come for us again and I am expected on the battlefield soon.

Today is our graduation. Taking the final tests to see if we were genins or not. Regardless all of us were going to be thrown head first into the war.

Especially me. The Hokage seems to have vested interest in my progress especially since I had mistakenly manifested an ice bloodline limit.

I was meditating when I was ten trying to manipulate my chakra more smoothly. Moving it around to see if I could increase my control over it so I would have less use of hand signs.

Partial success as I did not fully succeed with getting full control over my chakra but I was getting there slowly.

As I noticed that in this world you were not simply handed jutsus easily even with a jonin-sensei I decided to pick up kenjutsu in my last year.

Surprisingly I had the talent for it. Quickly learning the basic moves and trying to refine them into my instincts. Cut, slash, parry, block.

Having a strong body is a must and using Kenjutsu will make me a terror on the field. I already created a speed based footwork for my style which I stole of Bleach.

Flash Step (D rank): By using chakra reinforcement to reinforce the whole body afterwards create a sharp burst of chakra from your feet quickly propeling you in the direction you are heading to. The more chakra you put in the faster and farther you go but with less control. Gives the illusion of teleportation due to its speed. With excellent chakra control one can completely control the distance, direction and sharp turns of the jutsu.

It needs no hands signs.

It massively improved my lethality as I could engage and escape in a single breath thanks to it. With my last created jutsu takes lethality to a new point. I was specifically banned from using it in the academy since I accidentally cut off Raizo Senju's arm during one of our spars with it. It got reattached luckily.

Cleave(B rank): Chakra is refined to give the characteristics of sharpness and expelled very fast from the hand or any weapon medium. Shaped like wind blades can cut through hard defenses and severe body parts with enough control can be manipulated into other forms.

I was asked to donate the jutsu for Cleave instructions by the Hokage in exchange for another of similar rank. As a reincarnate there is only one I was going for.

Shadow Clone jutsu. Not the one that Naruto spams but the one other jonins and chunins use. With its memory transfer feature I always left a clone at my apartment to figure out genjutsu and sealing from the books at the ninja library.

No progress in sealing yet. Mainly because of a lack of materials and instructions but genjutsu has been good.

I figured out how to use light reflected of my sword to put someone in a genjutsu that shows my actions a bit slower to them. Its D-rank called Light Perception.

Another one that mimics Sasaki Kokiro's (Fate) Swallow return with genjutsu. Constantly showing three different attack patterns at the same time that they have to pick the real one or die. Swallow Return (C-rank). With the jutsu I quickly became the best at sparring in my class.

It gathered attention as I, a civilian prodigy was besting clan members like the Hyuuga's and Naras. I originally planned to be lowkey but after I thought about it the more popular I was the less chance someone like Danzo will spirit me away into root as Hiruzen would like to have me in his faction.

As the third war is coming close the academy is adapting a new final test to determine graduates. A genin will battle you for 5 minutes. You're showing will determine your placement.

Sensei came into the classroom and shared lots. I got number one so I was first. Before we started he decided to give us one last speech.

' Today most of you may graduate the academy. Its a tough world out there. The life of a ninja is not smiles and rainbows but I believe you can do it. Just do your best.'

A number of us cheered. Nara Akeru frowned slightly looking at us with exasperation.

'No. 1'

'Coming!!' I said while picking up my katana and heading into the sparring hall where three chunins were seated. In the field was a genin who looked about thirteen a year older than me watching me as I entered.

An experienced genin is too much for me at this stage in a prolonged fight. I'll try to end the battle as quickly as I can.

'Ready…. start!' said a chunin judge as he gave us the go ahead for the battle.

I immediately put ten percent of my chakra into my first chain of flash steps as I disappeared from where I was to right in front of the genin and swung my sword hard down. He didn't react and was immediately bisected before turning to wood and was no where to be found.

I flashstepped out of there towards a corner of the arena in time to dodge a blow from behind. The genin was visibly shocked at the exchange probably expecting an easy fight. He quickly adjusted holding his kunai in a stance ready to go.

I contemplate layering some genjutsu through Light Perception but he is tense so most likely will break out of it. I should use the academic three to give the perception that that is all I know before launching an attack with Swallow Return.

'Hey. Why try so hard. Let me win bro.' I said with a mocking tone which he smiles at before launching himself at me.

He's fast! Fuck!

I blocked his kunai before attempting a kick which he blocks with his forearm before using the same arm to punch me in the chest which sends me into the walls of the arena.

'The fuck! What strength is he a Senju or something?' I screamed while resting to take in some air before the attack. I flashed out of the way of another blow before quickly performing clone jutsu.

My clone and I synchronized and attacked from each side forcing him to pick the correct one in a split second to block.

He chose wrong.

As he blocked the attack from the clone in a split second I poured almost all my chakra into my blade reinforcing it to kingdom come and swung.

'Divine Depature!!'

I hit him with all the strength left in me before falling to my knees as I saw him sailing through the air with great speeds before slamming into the opposite side of the arena completely knocked out.

I'll have to tweak this new application to make it more useable maybe add in wind chakra or yin. As it is now its only good for using once and I'll be weakened. Can't use that in war.

I slowly got up to my feet to face the instructors. I saw one tending to him while another was smiling looking at me in a feral way. He had some red markings on his face.

Maybe Inuzuka?

'Congratulations Leo Aramaki. You are now a genin of Konoha!' he said while pulling out a metal headband and giving it to me. I held it in my hands and looked at it critically. I worked so hard to get here. I can't die now.

'Await further instructions. Next!!!'
