Telling the news

Ichika sighed as she went home in the evening.

"I'm home."

Sakura came running happily.

"Hey nee-chan! Who is your Jonin-sensei!?"

"Sakura, come with me to the garden."

"Huh? Okay."

As we stood in the garden, Sakura noticed something was odd.

"What happened?"

"They put shits in my team. And there was an extra exam, in which they attacked each other as soon as the match against the Jonin started. So he failed us all."

"YOU FA-UMMMP!"

"Let me complete first. I passed the graduation exam. I didn't pass the Genin exam because of those two little shits. So I was given a choice to be either reserve genin like mom and dad, or repeat a year in Academy. So I have decided to repeat a year. It will have the Hyuga genius so I am sure that I will get a top teacher next year."

Sakura squinted her eyes at me, made some expressions that I didn't understand, and finally opened her eyes.

"You have a crush-"

"Complete that statement and I will crush you."

"-on a Hyuga?"

And I bonked her head.

"Ouch!"

"I am not a simp like you."

"Hey!"

"And certainly not for arrogant bastards who call themselves the strongest. Anyway, support me in front of Mom and Dad."

"Why?"

"Sigh. What do you want."

"I want you to stop berating Sasuke-kun! He is going to be your brother-in-law!"

I looked at Sakura. 10 years old. Puberty not hit. And absolutely obsessed with Sasuke. Even though she is eating and training diligently because of the rumour I started, she actually is becoming more obsessed when I try to make her understand that a boy in her class she hasn't ever talked to and had his whole clan murdered by his own brother is not someone good to be a partner.

But it looks like the sympathy she gained has drived her into more severe case of obsession.

"Have you made up with Ino yet?"

"Ino-pig-"

"S.a.k.u.r.a."

"No."

"Naruto asked you out today?"

"Yeah. But he's gross and loser. Always bothering Sasuke-kun."

I guess I will have to use Naruto...

"Fine. If you can get Sasuke to introduce himself to me by the end of your graduation, I will stop bothering you until he does something bad. Now support me here."

"Okay!"

We went inside, and found Mom and Dad eavesdropping. Oh well. Here goes nothing!

"Mom, Dad. I will be repeating a year."

"It's fine. Much better than being in reserves."

"Yeah. We weren't talented as you two. We dropped out of being a ninja not much later. Teacher is necessary, so it's a good decision to repeat a year than to end up like us."

I sighed in relief. Even though Dad never scolds me, mom does pretty loudly. It's a first.

"Thanks Mom, Dad."

"It's nothing. Wanna have dinner or wait for a bit?"

"I'll wait till it is time."

And I went to my room, going into meditation to retry creating myself an Inner. I guess I will meet Naruto tomorrow. Sorry Sakura, but I won't allow you to be involved with Sasuke who tried to kill Naruto, Kakashi, and even you yourself. His family dying doesn't mean that he can even attempt to kill my family.
