Chapter 7: Legendary Spots

As Naruto was unable to see the bronze leaf I assumed it was something to do with my gaming ability. I selected the money this time it's more useful to me than anything else right now.

However, if there is one spot there are probably more spread across the village that I haven't found yet. 'I will have to keep an eye out for them'

"Well I will probably see you around the village Naruto, good luck" I gave him a small wave and walked towards the centre of the village.

"Thanks Light, I'll see you later ya know"

I went around the village keeping a eye out for any more of those strange leaf symbols. I ran in to a few bronze ones.

[Academy - 5 Kunai]

Luckily I didn't have to go inside, I was able find it just outside of the gate.

I wasn't even looking for this one, it just popped up on a wall.

[Yamanaka Flower shop - Chakra recovery pills x3]

Walking past the Yamanaka I was able to get either a bunch of flowers or some chakra pills. I don't know what I would need flowers for so chakra pills it was.

"Inventory"

As each time I has selected something it didn't appear in my hand or anything there was only one place it could be. As I said the word a light blue box appeared in front of me with 30 transparent squares. The first square showed the money I had selected, next my Kunai and lastly my chakra pills with a x3 icon. I assume that means I received 3 of them.

After picking up some cheap tool's at a hardware store I started to make my way back in to the forest.

As I was walking I saw a familiar sight, a large black stone with lots of names carved in it, there are also 3 large wooden stumps in the field next to it. There was also a man with white hair and his headband covering one of his eyes staring at the stone.

Oh. My. God. I slowly walked toward the man any Naruto fan would know. Kakashi, future leader of team 7 and sixth Hokage. He was still in the Anbu and had yet to soften up thanks to Naruto and the others.

I came to halt in front of the stone keeping my eyes firmly fixed on the names carved over every inch, most I didn't recognise as they weren't shown much in the anime. I came across Obito's name engraved. 'Even through he is still alive' I accidently let out a small chuckle.

"Something funny?" A slightly angry voice came from beside me.

Oh crap, that's not good. How am I going to get out of this one?

"I would say... Amusing more than funny. Look here and here" I pointed out two names engraved, specially an Uchiha and a Senju.

"If this stone was standing over 80 years ago with both an Uchiha and a Senju's, neither one would have stood for having their names together on anything. But then two people made these two clans who had been killing each of for so long to come together and create peace. It's a shame the five villages can't do the same, causing all these senseless death's"

"The world would be a much better place, however, we live in the real world not a fantasy"

His words sounded cold, yet he seems to have agree with what I said at least.

'I've got to be more careful otherwise I will get in to some real trouble these days'

"Sometimes, the world has a way of changing and sometimes you need to make it change" He seemed to take a while pondering my words. "Sometimes doing nothing is also the best idea, by letting things happen naturally without inference."

Kakashi remained silent and I didn't continue talking. I had already made him like me I didn't want to risk making him come to hate me.

"You are Kakashi Hatake right?"

"That's right, you've heard of me?" Kakashi was probably concerned as he was currently in the anbu and didn't want to be recognised.

"Yes... I have. I'm sorry for your losses"

"My losses?"

"Your father, he didn't deserve what was done to him. Also your comrades." I pointed to the memorial stone. He went quiet.

"Thank yo.." I broke him off before he could finish.

"Your sensei, Naruto's Father" This time the silence was filled with questions, I could tell he was inspecting me.

"How do you know about that?" he frowned and gave me a serious stare.

"I'll tell you, if you spar with me"

"You want to spar with me?" Kakashi looked rather surprised

"Yes" I nodded

"I could always drag you the interrogation department or the Hokage"

"I am not a ninja of the leaf or in the academy, the Hokage has no power over me. You could take me to the interrogation department, however you would have to fight me first and I'm guessing it wouldn't be good publicity for the hidden leaf ninja when it get's out that you are kidnapping civilians" I knew that it most likely wouldn't be must trouble at all but just the idea of it seemed to stop Kakashi in his tracks.

He stopped to think about it before moving a few feet away from me.

"Very well. Let's start"

I sent chakra in to my feet and legs to increase my speed and I immediately drew my sword as I lunged towards Kakashi, he pulled out a kunai and parried my sword. Sending a kick towards my stomach, I jumped up to avoid his kick, grabbing his arm so he couldn't move it and swung my sword again bypassing his kunai and aiming for his one visible eye.

I lost track of him for a moment and he suddenly appeared at my side grabbing my wrist, I couldn't tell you when or how his wrist had slipped from my grasp. He applied enough pressure to loosen my grip on my sword causing it to fall to the ground. I wasn't surprised he was able to disarm me so quickly, while the sword was a sharp and powerful weapon, I hadn't learned to properly wield it. I quickly started to use jujitsu and wrapped my legs around his arm and tried to place him in a submission hold.

Kakashi however possessed a far better physique than I do right now. He easily broke my hold and threw me in to a nearby tree. As he rushed towards me, I knew I wouldn't be able to land a blow if I wasn't going in as if I wanted to kill him. I quickly shifted my stance to use Muay Thai, he went for a straight punch, I moved to the side, jumping up so I could reach his upper body and bringing my elbow and knee together, trapping his arm in between. Kakashi let out a slight groan as I landed my first solid hit. Once again I felt the difference in our power and experience, as Kakashi let out a barrage of kicks and jabs, my Taijutsu was improving as we fought, I was able to learn more about my weaknesses and strengths just from this one spar, eventually his constant attack forced me to jump back and create some distance between us.

Kakashi's speed suddenly increased, quickly rushed towards me and grabbed my sword that was laying on the ground, in a flash he was in front of me, pointing my sword against my chest.

"It's over" Kakashi's voice was cold and deep when he spoke.

"Is it?" I let out a smile and moved forward, plunging the sword in to my chest. As it entered my chest, it reverted back in to chakra and appeared back in my hand. As it did, I grabbed Kakashi's arm and slashed it upwards, catching Kakashi off guard. His speed had saved him from any serious damage but his carelessness has caused him to have a shallow cut on his chin where my blade had caught him.

"You're no ordinary kid" Kakashi's mask now had a slight cut in it, showing a small amount of blood flowing from his wound.

"Depends on how you define ordinary" I smiled at him.

As I held up my sword Kakashi jumped a few meters back and started the make hand signs. I quickly remembered as many as I could while I raised my sword high in to the air, concentrated my chakra on my sword.

I could feel my Chakra flowing more freely as we fought and thankfully, this spar had caused my Chakra abilities to go up a level, releasing my swords first ability.

I had finally unlocked my swords first ability the Getsuga Tenshou, it is an ability from another anime I had watched called Bleach. I had modified it to work with Charka, but essentially it compressed my chakra and released it in a sword swing, creating a high density and powerful flying chakra slash.

"Fire Style - Fire Ball Jutsu" Kakashi let out a huge ball of fire heading towards me.

"Getsuga Tenshou!" I shouted out and swung my sword down letting out a large blue flash of chakra.

As the two techniques clashed a large explosion occurred. But I wasn't able to focus on how insanely cool it looked as my lack of chakra control had made me drain almost all of my chakra and I was mostly spent.

I collapsed to the ground and started to breath heavily.

"That was impressive... for a civilian" Kakashi said holding a kunai to my throat, putting a light cut on my neck.

"Well I guess you win" I found it difficult to speak but I let out a smile, this had been a great experience and I had got a bonus with unlocking my swords first ability.

"You aren't a student of the academy?" He obviously wasn't convinced.

"No, I applied twice but I wasn't allowed to join" I still didn't know why but at this point I had chosen a different path.

"I see"

"Now for your question, Naruto, it's just basic logic, if you look at the forth Hokage and Naruto they look very much a like. I also saw the forth Hokage when I was very young with a red headed ninja, she had very powerful chakra which feels very similar to Naruto, so I guessed that she is his mother" I told a half lie, I technically did see Minato and Kushina when I was younger, just not in this world.

"Smart"

"Thank you" I smiled, coming from someone like Kakashi that was a pretty good compliment.

"I wonder if I could ask you a favour"

"What is it?"

"Your Hatake clan has a unique sword style does it not?"

"You want me to teach you how to use it?" Kakashi was surprised, I'm guessing that no one had used it since his father.

"I do" I nodded

"Why should I?"

"Because I will owe you a favour"

He stopped to think about it. I could understand if he refused, letting out clan techniques and jutsu wasn't common, however, the Hatake clan was mostly gone, the only ninja left I know of was Kakashi and he didn't use his clan's sword style. This was my best chance to learn how to use the sword, the amount of sword users in the leaf is unfortunately limited.

"Meet me here next week at this time"

"You won't be late right?"

Kakashi remained silent and vanished in a swarm of leaves.

'That is an awesome jutsu, I want it' I couldn't help but think it, don't judge me.

Taking a look around the Stone there I found a Gold leaf at the bottom. Gold must have better rewards than bronze right?

Ok, firstly the weapon is out, I didn't need it, my sword is already unique and would become more powerful than any other weapon of this world.

A chakra enhancement pill does sound useful, but I don't want to rush my development, I want to create a solid foundation and build on it. Take Naruto for example, he become powerful not just because of the amount of chakra he has but the quality of it, the nine tails chakra merging with his passively made it denser and more powerful. If I could do something similar with my chakra, work on quality rather than quantity I would be able to become more powerful than Naruto or Saskue in the future.

So I took a risk and selected the jutsu.

[Water style: Water Severing Wave learned]

The jutsu had entered my mind and I understood it immediately, all the hand signs and all the chakra require. I recognised it as one of the second Hokage's jutsu, it spews out the mouth as a high pressure stream of water, capable of cutting through even the god tree.

I head back to my spot in the forest to work on my shelter.
