Chapter 106- Brothers Eyes

Naruto looked at the Danzo tree. So many eyes to pick, but only one was what he was after. On the misshapen Danzo face imbedded in the tree, in the right eye socket a very unusual Mangekyo sharringan. One that all tests shown was slightly different from the others. Seeing as Dazno had chosen that one to go in his eye socket, it stood to reason it was more powerful, for what reason Naruto did not know, but the logic was good.

He lifted a scalpel to the eye and cut into the bark. Red sap began to leak as he continued the cutting. Sfter a week or so, a new one would grow in the same spot, and as the same eye. Allowing Naruto an infinite amount of this special sharringan. Once he finished cutting he brushed the crimson sap away as he grabbed a pair of tweezers. carefully he folded the wood away from the eye. Absently noting the skin was not as ridget as bark. The eye continued to move, making the process difficult, but sedatives proved to be a problem on the tree. Having absolutely no effect.

Naruto made due as he carefully removed the eye from the socket. He put it in a small container of ice for the time being. Once the new eye grew back Itachi would have this special Mangekyo sharringan. For now it was time to test the eye and see if Itachi could even use it. Just a precaution, after all you never know what would happen. And organ rejection was not pleasant for the patient.

Once finished Naruto left the tree to allow it to start healing and regrowing the eye. As he moved away from the tree he watched it as it inflated lightly, as if it was breathing. It was unsettling, almost as much as the strange pods growing on the tree's roots. Whatever was inside was growing fast, though not as fast as expected. Not that that would be a problem for now. Naruto looked away from the tree before heading to the medical labs to run his tests.

Herbert watched as the cloned finished with the radar equipment. Dozens of desks with consoles, each with a clone watching the screen. Some of the other facilities had yet to be completed, but those were minor. They scanned the skies for over a hundred miles around their base. The equipment may have been Radar, but it was Yithian in design, and was capable of scanning the entire continent but they could not do that just yet. It was still insufficient compared to what the Yithians actually used, which expanded whole solar systems, but it would do.

"Sir, we have something", said a clone.

Herbert rose an eyebrow as he walked over to the clone.

"That was fast, where is it", asked Herbert.

"It's to far to intercept undetected, but it's somewhere in the Land of Bears. It's moving slowly and it's big. Bigger than we thought", said the clone.

Herbert looked at the monitor but was unable to tell just how large the craft was.

"How big is it", asked Herbert.

"Sir, it's over twice as large as the Shinigami", said the clone.

"That's big. How the hell did no one see it yet", asked Herbert.

"It's in sub orbit at the moment, but even with Yithian equipment we can't get a full read on where it is. Jamming equipment of some kind, it may also have a stealth barrier, bending light to cloak itself, then again considering it's the Mi-go maybe the craft can just turn transparent completely, they always did do things the hard way", said the clone.

"In science the hard way is always more fun. Still it's good to know the mushroom bugs still spit in the law of physics face. An alien after my own heart, What direction is it going", asked Herbert.

"It's moving through the Land of bears, but luckly it will stay in range, nothing past where it's going other than ocean. We can keep our eyes on it", said the clone.

Herbert nodded.

"Good, get everyones eyes on that thing, prepare the soldiers for conflict", said Herbert,

"You are not going to go after it are you", asked the clone.

"No we wait until it lands, or gets close to the ground. It will see us coming a mile away, and it is much more advanced than the shinigami, probably faster to. It will tear through it like wet toilet paper. We wait for now, keep an eye on it we strike when they are not ready for a fight, but I want the soldiers ready for a fight the moment it lands, a few second can be the difference between losing them again or finding them", said Herbert.

"Sir yes sir", said the clone.

The Next thing they knew The Nine Masked Beasts emerged from seemingly nowhere. Herbert looked at each of them.

"I need you to go back to the main base, If we are fighting the Mi-go I need something", said Herbert.

He reached into his robe before pulling out a scroll and writing on it a bit before he handed it to the angelic Masked Beast Tennyo.

"Give that to Naruto, he will know what to do", said Herbert.

The Masked beasts left as Herbert smiled. The clone turned to Herbert.

"What was that all about", asked the clone.

"Just a request for something special, I didn't expect the Mi-go's ship to be that large, We could use some help, and I think it is time I live up to the name Herbert West, and there is something that will make that a reality", said Herbert.

Naruto groaned as he rubbed his eyes. Against all logic, somehow these sharringan eyes did not match Itachi, and it was all Itachi's fault. Apparently using the Mangekyo does more then damage your eyesight, it actually decreases the chances to getting a new pair from more distant relatives as a result. At first it would work for any pair of sharringan, but as he used them the new eyes had to come from someone more closely related. At first anyone could be used, then anyone up to fifth cousins, then the pool would shrink from there. Now Itachi could not even use first cousins, the new eyes had to be from a sibling possibly a parent but only barely, So sibling only and the only sibling he had was Sasuke.

Naruto forze for a moment as an epiphany hit. Sasuke had only recently awoke the Mangekyo sharingan, and had taken precautions when using them. Meaning he just might be able to take these eyes and Itachi take his. Not the best solution, but it was the only way. Shame really, but then again, if both had the Eternal Mangekyo Sharringan then that was only another asset against Cthulhu.

Naruto turned to grab the newest sample from Sasuke he had, luckly this one was less than a day old, they had to be taken every time his eyes were checked so he could know for sure if Sasuke could use them without giving either one false hope. Naruto looked at the sample and compared it to the eyes he had taken from the Danzo tree. He smiled. The chances were high, very high, but not as high as Itachi's chances if he would take Sasuke's eyes, but it was good enough that the risk was null, and with the reagent in their systems durring the surgery they would not have to fear any complications.

Naruto stood up, Sasuke would have to wait until the other eye grew back until he used his sharingan again and if he were to use it at all then the chances of success would fall.

"Can't have that now can we", said Naruto to himself as he flashed out the room.

Wilbur Whateley stood in the cave for the time being reading his book, to find just the right ritual to make Obito his slave. Hiruko practiced his ninjutsu as Wilbur read.

"Find anything yet", asked Hiruko.

"Many things, but none are discrete, should I use these rituals then the others would know Tobi was being controlled or he would end up as something no longer human, thus ruining the chances of taking over, and I can't turn them all into puppets at the same time so I must chose wisely. I will find something soon, and our mutual goals will be achieved with the Akatsuki under our secret rule", said Wilbur.

Hiruko nodded.

"I can get Tobi where ever you want for your ritual, but you will only have one shot, and it better be a good one" said Hiruko.

"Of that we can both agree, do not fret my friend. Soon the power we desire will be ours, and none will be able to stop us", said Wilbur as he flipped a page.

Sasuke slept next to his brother in the same chair as before, until he was awoke by Naruto who as usual appeared from absolutely nowhere. Consequently Sasuke fell from his chair from the sensation of someone being there who was not there before.

"Don't do that", said Sasuke.

Itachi turned his head toward the sound. He could feel Naruto standing next to him.

"I have good news, and bad news. The God News is we can fix Itachi's eyesight",said Naruto.

Sasuke smiled but it quickly fell.

"And the bad news", asked Sasuke.

"It has to be your eyes he gets. Before you say anything allow me to explain. Itachi has used the Mangekyo sharingan so much that only a siblings sharingan is guaranteed to work for a transplant. However since capturing Danzo I am in possession of an unimited amount of Sharingan. Sasuke you can give your eyes to your brother, while you get sharingan taken from Danzo", said Naruto.

"How the hell is there an unlimited ammount of sharingan, and how did you get it", asked Sasuke.

Itachi listened carefully to whatever Naruto was about to say.

"Danzo's hidden arm was regrown from cells of the first Hokage, giving him the powers of Wood Release, however in this arm was also several sharingan eyes implanted into it. His missing eye was replaced by a very special Mangekyo Sharringan that is slightly different from others. It allowed him to alter others thoughts. After capturing him and extracting all information from his mind I gave him to Herbert. Who experimented on his body. He forced the cells of Senju and Uchiha to grow out of control, the end result was turning Danzo into a massive tree hidden below the village. The tree has a lot of Sharringan eyes in it's bark that constantly shift from one place to another. When the eyes re removed they simply grow back", said Naruto.

The room was quiet for a while. The silence was broken by Itachi.

"I know very little of this Herbert, and I have only met him once, but from what you describe I request that any medical attention I need not be done by him. Ever", said Itachi.

"Understood", said Naruto.

"Where did Danzo get those Sharringan", asked Sasuke.

"He got them after the massacre", said Naruto.

Sasuke glared at Naruto.

"And why am I just now learning about this", asked Sasuke.

"Considering your mental state at the time I thought it unwise for you to know until you met Itachi face to face to better understand the events that went on that night. Otherwise you could have done something you would regret", said Naruto.

"Thats a bullshit excuse and you know it, makes it sound like you don't trust me", said Sasuke.

"I do trust you within reason Sasuke, your mental state is fragile, I will not be responsible for further destroying it. With Itachi here and you personally asking me to fix his eyes, I figured you put old ghosts to rest, I'm sorry for not telling you sooner, but I only did what I thought was right", said Naruto.

Sasuke was about to say something until Itachi spoke.

"Thank you Naruto for bringing this information to us, though Sasuke is upset at the moment I am sure he will understand once he has control over his emotions", said Itachi.

Naruto nodded. Then spoke when he realized Itachi was blind.

"Thank you, now the surgery can happen in one week when the other Sharringn grows back. will preform thr operation. This should unlock the Eternal Mangekyo Sharringan in each of you, but I want to run a few more tests first", said Naruto.

"Fine by me, I don't like you keeping that secret from me, but I get the reason. Itachi can have my eyes, but I want to see Danzo", said Sasuke.

"Very well, but it will not be pleasant", said Naruto.

Sasuke shrugged.

"I can handle it", said Sasuke.

Before anyone could respond the Nine Masked Beasts appeared in the room. Sasuke tensed but calmed when he recognized them.

"What are you doing here", asked Naruto.

Tennyo handed the scroll to Naruto. He opened it and began to read it. His eyes widened for a moment before he smiled.

" So Herbert wants to follow in his namesakes foot steps. Can't say I'm surprized. He has my permission. You'll find it in my office, tell Herbert to return it when he is finished with it", said Naruto.

The Masked beasts disappeared.

"What was that all about", asked Sasuke.

"Herbert wants to see the copy of the Scroll of Seals. He wants one of the Jutsu on it to modify for his own purposes", said Naruto.

"Which one", asked Sasuke.

Naruto smiled in a way that looked devious.

"Impure World Resurrection", said Naruto.
