"Any objections?" Kakashi asked the group, his eyes scanning each of them for any signs of hesitation or disagreement. When he saw none, he turned his attention to Minato. "What do you think, Sensei?"

"As I said before, you're the captain, so you call the shots," Minato said, indirectly agreeing to his plan.

"So, how are we gonna proceed?" Rin asked.

"We have been standing here for a while. I suggest we start moving before the enemy suspects that we know about his ambush," Yami said. If the enemy realized his ambush had been detected, he might try to retreat, but Yami had no worries. That poor hidden enemy had sentenced himself to death the moment he met Minato. There would be no escape from the Yellow Flash.

"No need to worry about that," Kakashi said before squatting down. "I'll attack, so please back me up, Minato-sensei."

"Huh, wait! Don't be hasty," Minato said. "I'll go, and you can cover me, Kakashi." Minato could see that Kakashi was a bit hasty in his attack plan; he didn't even ask where the real enemy's true body was.

"Sensei, I'm the captain today, remember?" Kakashi said while forming a series of hand seals. "I've been trying to perfect my jutsu, so I want to test it."

Meanwhile, on the other side, an Iwa ninja was hiding behind a tree, waiting to ambush Konoha's ninjas he had noticed earlier. But he saw that even after a while, they stayed standing in the same place.

"It looks like they detected me. I'm impressed," the Iwa ninja thought and was ready to go and confront them before his eyes widened when he saw the yellow-haired man's face. "That's... No, it can't be."

Cold sweat poured down his face before he calmed himself. "Let's observe first for now."

Kakashi finished forming the hand seals. "Chidori!" he shouted, the air around his hand crackling with electricity. The intense blue light of the jutsu illuminated the forest, casting eerie shadows.

"Kakashi, wait!" Minato held his hand up, blocking Kakashi, but Kakashi didn't listen and cut him off before he started to talk.

"Sensei, you said it yourself. In a team, everyone should listen to the captain's orders. And now I'm the captain," Kakashi said, looking Minato in the eye.

After staring at each other for a while, Minato sighed and reluctantly withdrew his hand.

"He's really reckless," Yami thought, shaking his head as he watched Kakashi dash toward the enemy without a solid plan. He was surprised by the contrast between the current Kakashi and his older self. Unlike a decade later, where he always insisted on teamwork, now he totally ignored his. Aside from asking Minato to back him up, he was completely disregarding Yami, Obito, and Rin.

Just as Yami was lamenting Kakashi's reckless attitude, he heard Rin's frightened scream due to the sudden appearance of the enemy emerging from the ground.

Alert, Yami threw three kunai, piercing the Iwa ninja's head, but instead of falling dead, it disappeared in a puff of smoke.

"Shadow clone, huh," Yami narrowed his eyes but wasn't much surprised. Minato had already told them about the existence of the shadow clones. Yami pulled more shurikens and scanned his surroundings, his senses on high alert. Despite being near Minato, which practically guaranteed his safety, his fighting instincts prevented him from taking it easy.

"Thanks..." Rin, who was a little frightened, quickly thanked Yami for the help.

Seeing this, Obito also wanted to come over to protect the girl he liked, but an enemy's shadow clone appeared in front of him.

"Ah!"

"Don't be careless, Obito." Minato acted in time to rescue Obito, who was caught off guard and could hardly move.

"Huh, thank you, Sensei."

"Minato-san, I think you'd better support Kakashi," Yami said as he noticed Kakashi recklessly charging toward the enemy.

The Iwa ninja threw a bunch of shurikens and kunai, but they were all deflected by Minato, who threw his own weapons.

Noticing the uselessness of the hidden weapons, the Iwa ninja brandished his short sword before charging toward Kakashi.

Just as the two of them were about to clash, Minato suddenly appeared beside Kakashi. With a swift motion, he grabbed Kakashi by the shoulder, saving him from the enemy blade that was about to pierce him and teleported them both out of the enemy's range.

"Sensei, what are you—" Kakashi started, but Minato didn't even give the chance as he immediately teleported away.

"So, this is the famed Flying Thunder God," Yami couldn't help but be amazed. One second Minato was next to him, and the next moment he was tens of meters away. He didn't even notice when he left his side.

'No wonder he became the Fourth Hokage.'

With the Flying Thunder God, Minato was undoubtedly the strongest ninja in Konoha currently. Not Orochimaru, Hiruzen, or even Jiraiya with Sage Mode could match him if they fought to the death.

As for the secret hermit Might Duy, even he would be long dead before he could catch Minato. After using the Death Gate, Duy would undoubtedly be the strongest for a few minutes, but could he catch Minato if he decided to escape and waste time? While he was deep in thought, Yami was snapped out of his reverie when he heard a scream followed by the sudden appearance of Minato next to them.

"Sensei!" Rin and Obito called.

Minato glanced at them and smiled while wiping the blood off his specially-made kunai.

"I'm glad that all of you are safe," Minato said. "Rin, could you tend to Kakashi's injuries?"

"Ah, yeah." Rin seemed to wake up from her trance before rushing toward Kakashi to heal him.

"Sensei, the enemy... did you...?" Obito asked.

"Yeah, it's been solved."

"Kakashi, your new jutsu is not complete yet. You should not use it again in the future."

Kakashi's performance today, and even the performance of the entire team, made Minato very disappointed.

"…"

Kakashi, who was being treated by Rin for a shoulder injury, could only lower his head in silence. He didn't expect that the first enemy he encountered in this mission would be so powerful.

"Humph, you didn't listen to Sensei and acted recklessly. Now you are suffering, right?" Obito also found the opportunity to scold Kakashi, who had been showing off in front of him.

"It's not your turn as an Uchiha 'elite' who was frightened by the enemy and shed tears to teach me a lesson," Kakashi shot back, seeing Obito's embarrassed appearance when facing the enemy just now.
