Jonin Meeting

/Konoha, Official meeting room/

/Tsunade Pov/

"Are there any genins that you would like to enter into this chunin exam?" sensei asked three jonin.

Although it's too early for children fresh out of the academy to join the exams, I'm not the one to judge as Zasu is only twelve years old, probably the youngest out of all participants.

"Naruto is different from you!" I heard another jonin yell

'Isn't he the academy's teacher?' I thought laughingly, 'why is everyone so loud?'

Watching grown adults yelling about the safety of children nurtured to kill was interesting. 'Zasu's first killed when he was eleven,' I thought. 'I blamed myself for quite a while afterward.'

I watched the jonin argue for quite a while before things calmed down, ultimately leading to the Hokage allowing the genins in question to participate in the chunin exam.

"Before we end the meeting, I'd like to recommend someone to participate as well." sensei, the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi, announced.

I could see quite the commotion after sensei spoke; it looked like many were surprised to find out that the Hokage himself recommended anyone.

"Oh, if you are recommending someone, they must be special." an old man covered in bandages and dressed in a traditional robe said.

'Danzo Shimura, what does this wretch want?' I thought while grinding my teeth.

"He is." said Hiruzen "you all are familiar with my student Tsunade Senju, correct?"

The entire room turned to stare at me, making me feel more irritated than afraid. "Hey, old man! Get to the point already!" I told sensei while becoming irritated by his prolonging the announcement.

"Ha ha! I should get to the point." Hiruzen smiled before becoming serious. "Tsunade, on her journey, discovered quite a young man. A very talented young man, if I may add, so much so that a year ago, she sent me a letter to allow this young man to become an official leaf ninja. Although she is my student, I cannot allow someone I have never assessed to become a ninja. So I sent Jiraiya; I tasked him to vet the boy on my behalf from the shadows."

"So you're telling me that the young man you're speaking about has received your approval, became an official ninja a year ago, and is now being recommended to join the chunin exam?" Danzo said with a deep frown, "how incredible! You allowed an outsider to join the village without anyone's opinion! He could be a spy for all we know!"

"How about you calm down?" said Hiruzen, "what Jiraiya informed me about this boy was enough for me to approve of Tsunade's request."

"What did he find out about Hiruzen?" Danzo said, narrowing his eye.

"That information is classified, And any record of it has been destroyed," Hiruzen said sternly.

"With what approval Hiruzen? Not even the Hokage can destroy records unless approved by three clan council members!" Danzo shouted, "where is the boy? We must detain him before verifying that he is not a spy!"

"You go anywhere near him, and I'll kill you, old man!" I shouted and released my chakra. 'This old man is going too far!'

"Did you threaten to murder an elder of the village? Not even you, Tsunade, can avoid the consequences!" Danzo shouted right back

"How about we all take a step back?" Hiashi entered the mix and said, "I understand your anger, lady Tsunade, but this is not the time to get angry."

After that, Hiashi turned to Danzo and smiled. "Danzo, how about you let lord Third finish before jumping to conclusions, as for what you said, about detaining my son-in-law. If you ever go near him in a threatening manner, the Hyuga clan will not sit by!"

"The Senju clan will not stand by either!" I announced, 'good thinking, old man. I smiled while acknowledging Hiashi. 'The engagement to the Hyuga clan is already showing its worth!'

"Nor will the Sarutobi clan," Hiruzen said calmly. "As you can see, Danzo, I did receive the proper approval about sealing and destroying the information. Now back to what I was saying."

I could see the Hokage take a deep breath. "I recommend Zasu Doku, a student of Tsunade Senju and a genin of the leaf, to participate in the chunin exam!"

With that, the room exploded with approval. Many of them suddenly without hesitation, which was odd seeing that the Hokage did not specify Zasu's strength nor what team he would be entering the exam with.

Before leaving the meeting, Hiashi and I were bombarded with various clan heads asking to meet Zasu, most of whom were fishing for information rather than extending an olive branch.

The last I saw of Danzo was him leaving with the other two elders with a deep frown. 'If he knows what's good for him, he will not get any ideas about Zasu.' I thought as I made my way towards the exit. 'well, hell, at least lay low, seeing as three major clans are blocking his path.'

/Senju compound, training field/

/Zasu Pov/

As I was resting from my training, I was thinking about something exciting that had just occurred. Just about an hour ago, I received a system alert. After that, a screen filled with information suddenly popped up out of nowhere.

While I found this interesting, what intrigued me was the optional quests that I had already planned to accomplish. 'Does that mean that I influence the system?' I couldn't help but think.

"So you were here, Zasu?" I suddenly heard Tsunade's voice from behind me.

"Oh, Tsunade? What brings you here?" I smile softly.
