Chapter 7

After Amagi's mother, who Hyto found out was named Midori, finally calmed down, she and Amagi introduced Hyto to the rest of the clan. And when Cherr said they were packed inside of this house, she meant it!

There were 22. 22 members of the Izuno clan, all packed in this rundown home. Apparently, only a few of the older members have made it to the rank of Chunin, which meant, that not a lot of money was able to flow throughout the clan. Add all of the cats they were trying to hoard and take care of as well, they were a whole mess.

Apparently, a few members got a contract with the Uchiha clan and left for some city called, Sora-yu to watch over the Uchiha's munitions that they store there. Making note of that important information, Hyto took a deep breath as he pets the random cat that jumped in his lap.

"I mean no disrespect, but this is unacceptable. You all can barely breath in here!" Hyto complained as he coughed out some of the cat hair that was floating through the air.

"We know, but there isn't any other option for us! We're barely scraping by as it is!" Midori said with great shame in her voice.

Midori was the one in charge of the family's finances, as well as pulling doubles working as a medical min down at Konoha hospital. Hyto was seriously impressed with her money management skills, as even with so little money flowing to the clan, Midori was still able to make sure that no one went hungry, not even all the stray cats they took in.

"Well, there is now. I am currently the last known living Rasugi, but I want to change that. As the clan head, I have the task of rebuilding the Rasugi clan, and I want to start with those who are my actual blood relatives. Midori, everyone. I know this is a lot to ask, but will you all join the Rasugi clan?" Hyto asked, feeling slightly nervous about being rejected.

Sure they are family and in a bad situation, but they are still their own clan at the end of the day. So, to ask them to effectively end the Izuno clan and take up the new name of Rasugi was definitely a lot to ask.

The others were silent for a long while, all wearing a myriad of different emotions that Hyto was unable to read. The silence was getting extremely unbearable until Midori finally broke the silence.

"Hyto, are you sure? Asking someone to join your clan is a very big decision." Midori said in a serious tone that added weight to the gravity of this situation.

Still, with a resolved expression, Hyto gave her a quick nod.

"I am sure. No matter what, you are already my family. I would love nothing more for the Izuno to merge with the Rasugi clan so we can become a true family again. Plus, I already built a giant compound with enough money, land and houses for everyone to enjoy!" Hyto said with a devilish smirk.

Everyone was silent for a little longer before everyone looked to Midori, seemingly having a silent conversation. Hyto was starting to get antsy until he saw Midori give him a beautiful smile, which made him excited to see how beautiful Amagi was going to be in the future.

"Hyto, we would love to join your clan and become Rasugi. We recognize you as our new clan lord and thank you for inviting us into your family." Midori said as she bowed to Hyto, followed by everyone else in the clan, Amagi included.

Hyto was sure that this was just a formality, but he felt seriously uncomfortable with people bowing to him. So, he quickly but gently raised Midori by her shoulders and gave her a big hug.

"You all don't need to bow to me, we're family now. Come, let's hurry out of here and into your new home!" the clan cheered when they said that and excitedly rushed to pack their things, Hyto offering them some storage seals he made to make the trip easier.

After a while of traveling, the clan was finally outside of the Rasugi gates and looked at the compound in wonder.

"We get to live here?" Amagi asked in disbelief.

"Haha, of course, you are all a part of the Rasugi clan now. It may be a little-known name now, but I swear to work hard until our clan is respected by everyone!" Hyto said, earning some appreciative nods from the clan.

After going through the gates and making sure no one snuck in, Hyto showed everyone around what he built, and many of the clan members shed tears at how beautiful their new home was. The cats loved it and ran around right away, meowing how happy they were.

Each immediate family was able to live in their own home with plenty of houses to spare. After helping Midori and Amagi unpack the last of their things, Hyto looked at the time and realized it was almost time to meet his new team.

"Midori, I have to go and meet my new team now. From now on, if I'm not here, you're in charge. You are the official steward of the Rasugi clan. I'll leave you with plenty of money to get things like the market and whatever else our clan needs up and running." Hyto said as he reached in the Rasugi Clan Scroll and gave her a quarter of the money there, and put it in a separate scroll.

Sure it was a big show of trust, given that money alone could fund a minor clan for several generations, but Hyto made a calculated risk. Midori already proved her ability to take care of the family with very little money, plus Hyto didn't want to be in charge of all the boring stuff. Even Naruto eventually left the boring Hokage stuff to Shikamaru, right?

"Hyto-san, are you sure about this?! T-this is a lot of money..." Midori said, doing her best not to faint carrying so much money in a scroll, meanwhile, Amagi is stuck with her jaw to the floor.

"Midori, I told you already, stop with the honorifics, we're family now. But yes, I'm sure. I'm going to be on missions a lot and personally don't have a lot of experience or interest in dealing with a bunch of budgets and numbers. So, I leave it in your capable hands, bye!" Hyto said as his figure disappeared into snowflakes, revealing himself to just be a clone the whole time.

"Wow! Hyto is awesome! I don't even know when he managed to trade places with a clone when he was busy helping everyone move!" Amagi said in surprise.

"I know. That just means you'll have to start training that much harder so that we don't bring shame to the Rasugi name! Especially since you and the others can no longer use lack of space and funds as an excuse anymore." Midori said with a knowing look.

"More training?! Say it ain't so!" Amagi said dramatically as she comically fell to her knees fake sobbing.

Back with Hyto, he was just leaving the Hokage's office to inform him of the merger between the Izuno and the Rasugi clan. It was a pretty big deal and Hiruzen was surprised he didn't make the connection sooner, but Hyto wasn't buying that. Hiruzen was a lot nicer than the elders, but you don't get to be the God of Shinobi or the ruler of the strongest village in the world as long as he has without being a crafty genius.

Hiruzen had some kind of game he was playing, but as long as he didn't directly get in Hyto's way, he wouldn't stir the pot. As much as all of the other fanfics try to downplay Hiruzen, he was still able to take on the weakened versions of first two Hokage by himself, and that was as a decrepit old man. Hyto didn't want to imagine how strong Hiruzen in his 40s was.

Rushing to the Senju compound, Hyto arrived only to see a gorgeous girl a few years older than him standing by the gate, and he immediately recognized her as Mikoto Uchiha.

'Damn, to think this cute girl is going to one day birth the two beasts known as Itachi and Sasuke one day. Hmm, she's still young and single at this point. I wonder what would happen if we were to have kids together instead, the Nekogan mixed with the Sharingan. Damn, that would be OP, but I think I'm okay. I definitely don't want to get anywhere near the Uchiha massacre in the future. Hell, I already have enough massacre shit to deal with in my own damn clan.' Hyto thought to himself as he landed near the Uchiha.

"Hey, I'm Hyto Rasugi, your new team member. Are we the only ones so far?" Hyto asked looking around.

"You are our new member? Hmm, I remember Ayumi speaking of someone with that name often. She said he was a jerk but made a good rival. I'm Mikoto Uchiha, and yes, we are the first to arrive." Mikoto said in a plain yet sweet voice.

Seeing her good looks up close and hearing her amazing voice, Hyto found himself second-guessing he thought to not get involved with the dark-haired beauty.

Hearing Ayumi's name, Hyto just gave her a nod and had to do his best not to grimace. Ever since that first day, Ayumi has been bugging him like crazy, calling him her rival. If Ayumi didn't for some reason scare off all of the girls besides Nono that tried to crowd around him in school, he would've spazzed out on her already.

It didn't take long for both Hiashi and Tsunade to finally show up, and after a quick introduction with everyone, Tsunade invited them onto the compound for a meeting. As you would figure of the richest and most powerful clan in all of Konoha, Tsunade's mansion was ridiculously lavish and looked as though it could house a few minor clans just in this building alone.

As it turns out, Hyto's suspicion was correct and they have an emergency mission they have to head out for immediately. A team of shinobi led by Sakumo Hayate was sent out to intervene in a skirmish between Iwa and Suna shinobi at the edge of the Land of Fire but something went wrong and they have called for backup.

Not wanting to send a bunch of shinobi at once at a time when tensions are high, it was decided to send a small but high-powered and well-rounded team to go assist them. Essentially, they were a strike team. Not only did they have a variety of dojutsu, everyone on the team was incredibly strong. Plus, they even had the best medic in the world as their jounin.

It was safe to say that this team on paper looked better than the future Saanin.

Hearing how important and dangerous the mission was, Hyto was very nervous, especially since he knew that the 2nd Shinobi War would be starting soon. He doesn't remember how the war started or any information outside of the Saanin get their name in this war and Tsunade has a mental breakdown from both her brother and her lover dying in the war.

As Tsunade was briefing them on the details, a commotion further in the mansion started coming closer to them.

"I will! I will become the Hokage one day, Kayama!" shouted a voice the was unnerving similar to Naruto, but Hyto knew that was impossible.

"For the millionth time, I don't care what delusions an idiot like you has, just leave me alone already, Nawaki." said the voice who was presumably this Kayama.

Before Hyto could react to hearing the name of one of the most tragic deaths in the show, the door to the room burst open, and in walked to teens who looked to be a little bit older than Hyto. The first one that Hyto saw was definitely Nawaki as he looked exactly as he did on the show, with his light brown hair and eyes and the almost permanent blush on his cheeks.

But the other person, this Kayama, was the one to really gain Hyto's attention, as despite his shock and confusion this person undoubtedly reminded him of the legendary, Tobirama, and strangely like Kakashi as well. They had long white hair, fair skin, and cold, calculating eyes.

The biggest kicker was Hyto couldn't tell whether they were a boy or a girl. They had a cute face with soft features, and they had a voice that was somewhat husky for their age, but it wasn't something that would be impossible for a girl either. Plus, they were all too young for their bodies to really develop much, but with the blue armor that Kayama wore, it would be hard to tell anyway.

As Hyto was busy having an identity crisis, thinking about how cute Kayama was, Tsunade was already talking to the two newcomers.

"Nawaki! I told you that I was having a briefing and about to go on a mission soon! What is all of this commotion? Kayama, tell me what happened." said Tsunade, sounding like a mom reprimanding her kids.

"This idiot won't leave me alone about the whole Hokage thing and wanting to go on a mission with you. All I want to do is train in peace," said Kayama in a plain, yet still noticeably irritated voice.

"I will be the Hokage! And I do want to go on the mission with you, sis! Please, I've been training a lot and I'm strong, I promise!" Nawaki pled as he fell to his knees comically before Tsunade.

Seeing what would be a classic comedy moment of Naruto in person, Hyto decided to just sit back and relax as he enjoyed the show. But as he started to relax, he locked eyes with the red eyes of Kayama and got an immediate bad feeling.

"Who is this?" Kayama asked as they returned to Hyto, looking at him with what amounted to interest.

"Hmm? Oh, this is our new recruit, Hyto Rasugi. Hyto, this is my little brother, Nawaki, and my little cousin, Kayama." Tsunade said as she gestured to Nawaki and Kayama in turn.

"Huh?! This kid is even younger than me!! How come you treat me like a kid and make me stay, but this guy gets to go along with you?!" Nawaki asked, his voice screeching just like Naruto's would.

"That's because he was handpicked by the Hokage himself to join my team. I also tested him myself and he passed with colors. Plus, if we were ever on a mission together and you got hurt somehow, I don't know if I could think properly." Tsunade with a somber mood and pulled Nawaki into a big hug, the kid nearly suffocating in her massive chest, making Hyto jealous.

While the two siblings were having their moment, Kayama was still looking at Hyto before they finally nodded, seemingly satisfied by something.

"Rasugi-san, I would like you to come spar with me." Kayama started plainly, Hyto not sure if it was a request or merely stating a wish.

"Me too! If I beat this guy, Old man Hiruzen will have to let me join your mission!" Nawaki said, suddenly getting some hair-brain idea.

Hyto was fully convicted at this point the Naruto was the Incarnation of Nawaki, as there couldn't be that many idiots in the would.

As Hyto was suddenly feeling like an old man from dealing with this over-energetic kid, Tsunade got a great idea. Just like her, everyone else would be skeptical that someone as young as Hyto was so skilled unless they saw him fight with their own eyes. So this would be a great opportunity to show off her new member.

"Okay, lets have a nice spar, but instead of two matches, to save time, Hyto will be fighting you both at the same time!" Tsunade said, proud of her genius idea.

Hearing this, Hyto immediately took away his previous thought, there apparently were a bunch of idiots in this world!
