• Kage : A kage is the leader of their hidden village and generally are also the most powerful individual of their respective village

# Acadmey student - They are not a part of actual shinobi force as they are still in the process of mastering the very basics of being a Ninja.

# Genin - Means 'low level ninja'. They are lowest level of Njnja. They are typically sent either on D-rank missions, which are entirely risk free, or on C-rank missions which have a very low possibility of risk.

# Chunin - is the ninja, who is qualified to guide genins and lead missions. They are typically sent on C-rank and B-rank missions.

# Special Jonin - is the elite chunin who has a Jonin level ability in a specific area or a skill. They are often assigned as the subordinates to a regular jonin when their services are needed.

# Jonin - are generally experienced and skilled Shinobi. They are often sent on A-rank missions and experienced Jonin may even be sent on S-rank missions.

# Elite Jonin - are the major force of any hidden village. They are the highly experienced Shinobi with great power which suppressed normal jonins and they are also called as S-rank shinobi, but the difference between there power may vary, as at there level, the distinction between normal shinobi and them thin out, for example Itachi and Kisame are more powerful and dangerous then Zabuza Momochi( one of the former seven swordsmen of the mist) and Asuma or many other S-rank shinobi. The leaders of various major clans also come under S-rank shinobi.

# Kage - is the position of the leader of the hidden villages, so typically, they are the strongest shinobi of their Village.
