Chapter 69 (nice):
"Kekeke! Look at all these rumbling fools! Running around like headless chickens" A laugh echoed through the army. Though their numbers amounted to twelve thousand five hundred soldiers, any noise made by any individual would be buried by the sound of the marching feet and hooves but the voice was not buried at all.
On the very front, the source of the powerful voice was a palanquin. There sat a man, with almond like eyes, freely flowing hair, white porcelain skin and loose silk robe. He was sitting on the palanquin as if he's some Greek god being paraded.
"My Supreme Sovereign '' bowed a man deeply into the ground as he addressed Cheon Mujin. The latter looked at him, acknowledging his existence.
"Hmmm"
"They are as unprepared as you told us, My Supreme Sovereign" He reported. "Should we charge in?"
"I'll take one thousand soldiers, the rest remain here,"
Cheon Mujin swayed his head in disagreement and said.
"I'd like to make the first entrance myself,"
Cheon Mujin said.
"Your wish is my command!" The soldier shouted.
****
"H-Hey this is just a dream right?"
"Tell me this is just a dream!" At first the soldiers of Jiangxi were relaxed but as the army of the Sovereign Dominion's Sky Demon Order marched closer, they began to see the staggering numbers of the enemy unravel.
"Soldiers!! Remain brave!!" Hwangbin's courageous shout resounded, bringing the troops out of their stupor.
"The demons are at our doorstep yet all of you are cowering! Where is the spirit of the proud warriors you are all saying you have! All of you dare carry bladed weapons when you can't even keep your backs straight in front of the enemy!" When Hwangbin shouted, the troops realized that they just cowered before their enemy. It was hurtful to their pride.
"When have the brave and righteous warriors of Wulin cower before the demons and their numbers! You staggering fools! Broaden yourself! Brandish your sword! We face the demons! We MARCH!!" When Hwangbin finished everyone's morale was restored.
Of course their bravery was for naught. What they were seeing was just one thousand soldiers from the Sovereign Dominion's Sky Demon Order as Cheon Mujin commanded the eleven thousand to remain as spectator.
Of course they were out of sight for the Jiangxi force, otherwise all of them would've just fallen on their knees and surrendered without a fight.
"Charge!!" With Hwangbin on the front, he dash forward on foot. The three Unit Leader followed as well, shouting:
"Follow the Thundering Fist!!" Then the rest of the six hundred forces followed.
All of them were doing an infantry charge, they were all on foot without any horse. They are martial artists, of course this would be their traditional war charge.
Martial arts relies on a firm foothold into the ground, taking into account the gravitational center of the individual, and also free wide space for movement, something riding a horse can't provide. So performing martial arts on a horse is difficult, sometimes even impossible for some martial artists.
However, Cheon Mujin has already solved this problem. He created a martial art that could blend with horse riding, the One Demon One Stallion Cavalry Arts. A martial art that could be performed while riding a horse.
"How cute" From the distance, Cheon Mujin muttered with a grin as he looked at the brave infantry charge of Jiangxi Force as if he found it amusing. He was still on his palanquin sitting leisurely, laxly.
"My Supreme Sovereign" the aide next to him called out, waiting for an order.
Cheon Mujin raised his hands, and just like a command from god, everyone stopped, with just one gesture stopping the entire march of the troop.
When the troop stopped, Cheon Mujin stood up from his palanquin, his loose robe being swayed by the strong winds resembling the gentle flow of a river.
Then he took a step, but there was no foothold for him to step into. But that's not a problem for him, the air itself is his footstep.
Cheon Mujin stepped into the air, and slowly walked, parading in the air. When the cultist of the Sovereign Dominion's Sky Demon Order saw this, they almost fell to their knees in reverence.
You see, this force is not just an organization. It's a religious order and in that order Cheon Mujin made himself the God. And so the fervent reverence in their eyes and their shaking bodies from exhilaration was pretty justified.
The latter, smiling from his follower's fanatical gaze grinned, then he continued on to his slow but steady walk.
"What's that?" From the Jiangxi force, someone pointed up to the sky and asked, confused. In the sky Cheon Mujin's figure looked nothing but a speck of dust, or maybe a bird.
"Is that a bird?"
"That's a ginormous bird" Someone commented but as they neared, the figure in the sky became more prominent and pronounced.
"That's not a bird! That's a man!"
"Holy! Levitation!"
Exclamations were heard.
Levitation. It was the highest form of neigong (neigong can also be translated as movement art or light arts) where the martial artist can levitate in mid-air using copious amounts of force qi.
This is a legendary state of martial arts dreamt of by all martial artists in existence. Only achieved by those in the level of Divine Master. A mystical stage of martial arts that people only thought of as nothing but myth.
Divine Master, or the so-called Life and Death Realm , is a realm considered as legend to Wulin people who cultivate martial arts that dreamed of reaching and also called the Apex Realm. Throughout the history of Wulin, there were only a few who had reached the Grandmaster and Enlightened Grandmaster Levels, but none who had achieved the Divine Master Level could be found since it was extremely rare occurrence for a person to reach Divine Master Level that's why many people in the past hadn't believed in its principle.
This level is said to be along with other legends like the beginning of time, the origin of Shaolin, the birthplace of martial arts, crossing of the river with a single reed leaf and use of intangible sword, and levitation.
Martial Arts Master who has achieved this realm is said to be in a place of Life and Death, a legendary place where the best of Wulin is said to go when they reach the Divine Master Level. A reason is that it is a level where people of Wulin said that a state which cannot be achieved in life cannot be achieved in death.
Master of this level can produce and utilize Invisible Sword and are able to float in the sky. In order to improve and advance to the sublevels of this realm, one must dedicate time to train how to unify and concentrate their energy into one point enough to rip the space. An Initial Divine Master was able to freely control the space around his/her body, while one need to be at the Peak Divine Master Level to be able to control the entire space[2]. One needs to be at the Peak Divine Master level in order to utilize the Unification of Energy perfectly, though it can be used incompletely by Initial Divine Master level.
This is the realm where one is capable to deal with the Five Spirit Beasts that are called disasters, as well as the ability to face one of the three Great Wulin Forces alone.
"T-that's the Lord of the Cult!" Hwangbin shouted. He was also perplexed by the levitating figure of Cheon Mujin.
"That means! He's a divine master! The legendary stage of martial arts!!"
