We stood inline, stacked against a wall, waiting for the moment. " Go! " The door blasted open from the sheer force of the explosion which rocked the building and its surroundings as we rushed through the doorway. Scanning and shooting all hostiles we encountered. " 59, scan the second floor! 13, clear it! " The image from 59's scanner immediately fed into my screen.

I planted myself at the base of the stairs as I drew out 2 RX-12P modified pistols. " Number 13, moving in." Quickly jumping up the flight of stairs, using the walls flanking it, the first shot came from the enemy.

I rushed towards the enemy, firing the experimental blasters as I dodged the hail of bullets from the gun fire. " Nice to always see you in action, 13. Very minimal movement with pinpoint accuracy. How's the pistols?" the engineers asked while watching the live stream from my suit and the others. " A little too much power is being used. The blasters are too slow and heavy. Using 2 simultaneously would cause excessive strain for the others." I responded as I was catching my breath, looking at the carnage I caused. " Sergeant, second floor is cleared. No remaining gunmen, the hostage has been released. How is the data collected for the blaster?" I asked as I accompanied the hostage to the mobile command vehicle.

" Great job today, Special Lieutenant 13. The girl has been successfully released. At ease, join us for the meeting." I saluted to the Commanders and the general before sitting at the table, the vehicle started to move as the meeting begun.

"Special Lieutenant, we need a review on the experimental blasters. We heard that it was slow and uses too much mana for the spells. We are going to give you an option, to enrol in school and blend in with society or you can continue to work with us daily. Either way we would only mobilize you during emergencies."

" I would prefer to blend in and experience the life of youth." I responded after considering for a few moments.

"Very well. School officially begins next Monday, have the rest of the week off, 13.

report to the school tomorrow for the mandatory medical check up."
