Chapter 1 - New Life?!

"Cedric let out a terrifying scream as the woman he loves die infront of him. He felt nothing more than anger, sadness, and helplessness for not being able to help the woman he loves."

"Gritting his teeth, Cedric muttered Aurelia Fou Lioness' name as he drew his sword, the weight of betrayal is heavy on his heart as anger and pain consume him."

"Cedric walk towards her with a long and sharp sword on his hand, he looks at the woman whom he once called as his friend and he can't help but feel nothing for this woman after what she had done."

"Cedeic is confuse and betrayed as he can't help but ask to himself, 'Why did she changed? Why did she do all of this? Why?' But no matter how hard he tried to question himself no one will answer all of his lingering questions."

"As he is getting near her, sword in hand, Cedric's eyes met Aurelia's, once a friend now a foe. "Why did you change, Aurelia? What drove you to this darkness?" he questioned, the pain evident in his voice.

"Cedric point his sword towards the woman's neck but she remained stoic and calm as if she isn't afraid of anything that will happen to her. Aurelia had a ferocious expression and a hideous face, and she began cursing him arrogantly at this moment."

"Why did this girl changed so much? Where did the innocent and cheerful girl go? Did he make a mistake to make her hate him this much to the point where she had ruined everything in his life? Cedric doesn't understand any of this and he can't help but look at the woman with a pained expression on his face."

"Aurelia, stoic and unyielding, met his gaze with a ferocious expression. "I am the product of my past, Cedric. You cannot understand the demons that haunt me," she retorted, her words laced with bitterness as this words shock Cedric.

"He doesn't know what to think but he knew that he couldn't give her mercy after all the things she had done but while he was thiking this, Aurelia grab the tip of his sword and she went much closer towards it as she said "End me now, Your highness." she challenged, her defiance masking a hint of vulnerability and these words struck him down as he can't help but feel a little bit pity towards her."

"With a heavy heart, Cedric hesitated, torn between duty and compassion. "I cannot grant you mercy after all you have done," he whispered, the weight of his decision bearing down on him."

"In a moment of finality, Cedric's sword pierced Aurelia's neck, the sound of her last breath echoing in the silence. As she fell, life slipping away, Cedric was left alone in his shattered castle, haunted by the echoes of a love lost and a kingdom in ruins."

Lying comfortably on the top bunk bed in the dorminatory, Minji recited each words and sentence from the last chapter of the novel that she was reading with eloquence and energy as she was pretending that she was actually inside the novel and she was one of the character seeing each scene.

Minji soon couldn't stop her enjoyment from the ending of the novel that she couldn't help but climb down on the side rail and called out to her childhood friend who was busy doing with something while sitting down on his table.

"Jihoo, I've finish the novel that I was reading and it was almost like I was actually inside the novel!"

Jihoo who was busy writing his thesis for tomorrow and was about to be killed by the paper, heard his name, so he pulled off an earphone, frowned and can't help but turn his head and look at Minji with an annoyed expression on his face, he casually said: "Oh yeah? How could you say that?"

"I don't know how to explain this but it was as if..... I can feel the pain of Aurelia and I.... feel like..... I've known her before."

Minji soon felt something strange whenever she say or read Aurelia's name everytime but she never pay attention to it until now since how can she even know her if she hadn't met her in real life.

The novel she had been reading for this past few months is a drama and fantasy novel written by a writer that goes with the name EFL1927 and a co-author, RFL1927. The main story is about a knight named Cedric Von Hawthorne who fell inlove with the second princess of the Celestria Kingdom, they both had a strong connection and Cedric was always there to protect her but he doesn't know that the youngest daughter of the Lioness Household is plotting something against the princess.

The youngest daughter of the Lioness Household, Aurelia Fou Lioness, was raised in a psychopatic household where both her older siblings and father are being feared by everyone as their household is called as the Lions of War. Aurelia wasn't jealous or anything that wants the male lead unlike the rest of the novel that Minji had read from the past since all she wants was to get power and the throne. In the end she was killed by Cedric after she killed the princess and her evil deeds are finally put to rest.

Minji was the one reading this novel so she know quite a lot of this novel and Jihoo who is the one that helplessly hearing all of this by his ear against his will everyday, understand some part of the novel somewhat. Minji was very attached to this novel, not only because she enjoys this, but also because she felt deep familiarity and connection to each of the character inside the novel.

Suddenly, Minji had a question in her head so she quickly went closer to Jihoo table and look at him curiously with her round curious eyes and she asked him with full interest: "Hey, If you were inside the novel as one of the character, How would you change the ending of the novel?"

Jihoo looks at his friend with an annoyed expression but he thinks about for a moment on his answer before he said: "Go to the villainess and treat her right so that she won't become evil anymore."

Minji straightened her expression, she looks Jihoo with full of seriousnes and asked him another question again: "What if the person you become is actually evil too and the villainess doesn't trust you and also wants to kill you, how will you survive?"

Hearing what she said, Jihoo suddenly took interest in her question which made him also took off the other earphone, put away the laptop, turned around with a straight face and think for a moment before he said to Minji his answer: "Then I'll change myself and make the villainess trust me so that I can change her."

Minji bursted into laughter when she heard his answer, feeling that he can't do it and his answer seems like the one that she saw online saying the phrase of 'I can fix her' but she also state her own answer to this question: "For me, if I become one of the characters, I'll definitely steal the princess from the male lead and ran away with her."

Jihoo laughes at Minji answer and he looks at her with full confusion, he said to her: "Why would you do that? Won't the male lead kill you for doing that?"

Jihoo relax for a moment and Minji didn't answer his question but Jihoo knew that this such thing will not happen in real life so he confidently said: "If there are such ridiculus things like this to happen in real life then I will eat my smartphone and my laptop."

After that, the world around them suddenly turned dark and to their surpirse, they both lost their consciousness and they were both thrown in an never ending darkness.

Jihoo soon opened his eyes and saw a very strange scene infront of him. He was standing still infront of a girl that was wearing a red dress and she was looking at him coldly while he is standing together with a man much older than both of them.

"I'm pretty sure I've told you to stay still and study quietly inside the academy without any fuss."

The man opened his mouth and began speaking, his hateful gaze was looking at the girl who was kneeling on the ground as if he was looking at the girl like she was just a bug or something to his eyes.

"You might be my father but you don't have any rights to tell me what to do and you can kill me if you want but don't you humilate me like this anymore."

The girl spoke in anger and pain in her voice as Jihoo can see the strong and arrogant facade on the girl's face he was surprise to hear the girl's word about that as he thought to himself: 'Death? Why the hell does a young girl wants to die?! What kind of mess up dream is this?!'

Just as Jihoo was thinking all of this, he can fell the anger and coldness of the man that was near him which he notices that the man was clenching his fist tightly. Jihoo was about to protect and defend the girl when the man spoke again in a much more icy tone.

"Don't you dare talk to me like that you ungrateful brat, do you really want me to send you away as a punishment? Answer me, Aurelia.... Aurelia Fou Lioness!"

'Aurelia? Aurelia Fou Lioness?'

When Jihoo heard this, he blinked his eyes and concentrated at the little girl that was still kneeling on the ground as he tried to examine the looks of the girl, the girl have dark blood haired and deep blue eyes that was looking at him fiercely.

For him this girl was familiar as if he has seen her before and he also examine the man next to him as he was wearing an all black suit and red tie with a lion symbol on his tie, he has a dark blonde hair and deep red eyes that was the same colour of the little girl's hair.

"From now on, you are not allowed to go outside of the house or go to the academy without any surveilance, understand? You need to resport everything to me or your older siblings."

The man glared at her for a moment before he walked out of the door as if he doesn't want to stay at the same room or see the girl for too long so I was left only at the room.

"Why are you still here? Are you here to torment me again, Reynard?"

The girl cold eyes still was looking at him as if she was unpleasant to be in the same room as her but before she could even say anything more, Jihoo realize something that made his heart skip a beat in fear.

'I'm so stupid, how come I didn't realize it now.... The feature of this girl, her eyes, her hair, and her name even this scene.... Isn't this the same as in the novel that Minji read?!'

Jihoo panic so he quickly left the room in a rushed as he doesn't want to worsen his situation even more so the silent was inturpted by the loud thud of the door being slammed.

Jihoo quickly went towards a small vacant room and lock himself inside as he stayed seated there with his head blank for a while and he was still figuring out the situation more clearly.

"This is all just a dream, right?"

"Wait did she just call me.... Reynard? As in....Reynard Fou Lioness?!"

He soon remembers what Aurelia called him which made him feel even more panic than before and all of this confirm his thoughts.... He was now wearing the novel that Minji was reading as the psychopatic son of the Duke?!

'Why am I inside this novel?!! Oh damn you Minji!! Your word did came true!'

Thinking of what MInji had told him before all of this, Jihoo just wants to see Minji and curse to her hard for saying all of that which all came true as he thought to himself: 'Minji is an idiot!! Why am I the only one to suffer here in this world?!'

Soon Jihoo realize something, if he was transported here randomly then there is a possibility that Minji is here too since they were both in the same room when the darkness consume them.

"Minji you idiot.... I'll come find you in this world and confront you no matter what!"
