Chapter 3 An Inexplicable Marriage

The manor stood in the suburb of the town, with tall buildings arranged in an orderly fashion. From the outside, it looked like a royal palace in fairy tales, showing the noble status of its owner.

When they arrived at the manor, Anna took Akasha to her room to freshen up and take Akasha to meet her family.

"Oh my God! Akasha, I knew this dress was right for you! You look like an elf described in the magic book!" Anna couldn't help exclaiming when she saw Akasha come out of the fitting room.

The blue long dress was made of fluffy material. The upper part of the dress was narrow and fitted perfectly with Akasha's perfect figure. The lower part of the dress was piled up layer by layer, which highlighted Akasha's pure and noble temperament. The light golden long hair hung down behind her, rippling with soft and beautiful waves, making Akasha look like an elf that had accidentally entered the mortal world.

Lifting the hemline of her dress, Akasha smiled at Anna and thanked Anna for her praise. Anna wore a lace skirt, which fully showed her sweetness and cuteness. Akasha thought of the cakes in the dessert shop and praised her sincerely.

"Anna, you are as lovely and attractive as the cake in the dessert shop."

Hearing Akasha's praise, Anna had a bright smile on her face. She took Akasha's hand and led her to the hall.

"Father, I made a new friend today! I want her to live here and play with me!" As soon as they arrived at the hall, Anna couldn't wait to announce the good news.

Anna's father Count Edward had a broad forehead, deep eyes, and a high nose. His green eyes were born as treacherous as snakes. At this time, Count Edward clenched his fists. His anger flashed on his cool face, making people dare not approach him.

Looking at his lovely daughter, Edward calmed down a little bit, but he still scolded seriously.

"Anna, pay attention to your ladylike demeanor! Don't be noisy when there are guests."

Count Edward's serious expression and cold words didn't scare Anna away. Anna stuck out her tongue and took Akasha to Edward.

Seeing two strange men sitting in front of Count Edward in the hall, Anna stopped jumping and said obediently.

"Father, I know. Let me introduce someone to you. This is my new friend, Akasha!"

With a polite smile, Akasha kept her graceful demeanor.

"Count Edward, nice to meet you. I'm Akasha. I'm probably going to be at your house for a few days."

"Akasha!" Edward read the name and looked at Akasha thoughtfully.

Count Edwards gaze made Akasha feel uncomfortable. His green eyes could penetrate people.

"Miss Akasha!" When the two strange men beside Count Edward heard the name, they rushed to the front of Akasha. After seeing Akasha's appearance, the two men's eyes were red with excitement and they shouted in unison. "Thank God for letting Miss Akasha come here!"

Seeing the excitement on the two men's faces, the anger on Edward's face disappeared and he smiled with satisfaction.

"Now that you have arrived here safely, I won't blame you for anything. Miss Akasha, I hope you can stay in the Rafael family!"

Anna and Akasha looked at each other, not knowing what was going on between Count Edward and the two men. It was the first time Akasha had come here. Why did they look for her since they knew her?

"Father, what's going on? What happened to Akasha?" Anna said frankly.

"Hahaha! Anna, my good daughter! You did a good job! Akasha is the daughter of the Margaret family! She is Rafaels fiancee!" Count Edward patted Anna on the shoulder and praised she had brought back the missing Akasha. Looking at the beautiful Akasha, Edward flashed a smug smile. A shrewd light flashed through his eyes. He felt that his plan was about to succeed.

Hearing her father's words, Anna recalled that Akasha had admitted that she was a noble lady who had sneaked out. Anna seemed to have grasped something and understood what had happened.

"Wow, you are my cousin, Raphael's fiancee! What a coincidence!" The joy in Anna's heart almost jumped out of her chest. If Akasha could marry Raphael, Anna would be able to play with her every day.

Looking at the smiles on the faces of the people around her, Akasha felt dizzy and didn't know who she was.

She tried hard to digest the new words "Akasha Margaret" and "Raphael's fiancee". It was so incredible for her. She was a vampire who had just come to this world.

"I'm neither Akasha Margaret nor Raphael's fiancee. You must have mistaken me for someone else!" Shaking her head violently, Akasha tried to draw a line between her status and those people.

"Miss Akasha, it's hard to find the second person in the world who is as beautiful as you! How can we make a mistake? Don't be selfish anymore! Think about the Margaret family!" The two men begged.

"Akasha, now that you're here, don't run away. Take her back to her room, Anna. I have something to discuss with the guests." Count Edward waved her hand, hinting at Anna to go back with Akasha.

She felt that everything was ridiculous, but she couldn't explain it. She couldn't help wondering if she was really the "Akasha Margaret" they were talking about?

"Akasha, you didn't come here voluntarily, did you? I'm sorry. I took you back to the manor. If you don't want to stay here, I'll help you leave!"

Anna also felt sad when she saw the sad look on Akashas face.

Anna's comfort warmed Akasha's heart. Everything was not that bad. Although she inexplicably became Raphael's fiancee, it seemed good to be with Anna here.

"Anna, don't blame yourself. I'm glad to meet you. As for the marriage, I'll figure it out myself!" A smile appeared on Akashas face again.

"OK. If you don't want to marry Raphael, don't leave quietly. You must tell me first!" Anna hugged Akasha and asked her to make a promise like a spoiled child. "Akasha, I don't want to lose you!"

"Of course! I don't want to lose you either!" Nodding solemnly, Akasha patted Anna on the shoulder to comfort her.

"Well, let's stop talking about it!" Anna held her hand. "Let me show you around the manor."
