After leaving the the Lin clan residence Lin Feng started walking towards the shop while cursing Lin Xian. I swear, once I become stronger, I will drag that old man to some secret place far away and torture him for 3 days and nights, Lin Feng thought to himself.

After returning to the shop, Lin Feng approached Yang Chen and started speaking to him.

"I won't be here for a few days. If someone asks just tell them that the young master has left the city to run some errands."

"Yes boss." Yang Chen replied to Lin Feng. With this Lin Feng returned to the backhouse and started cultivating.

He continued, "Not to mention tomorrow the recruiters from Fēnglong Academy are arriving. Right now, waging a war on Lin clan is not only foolish but will also lead to looses."

Bai Tian who was silent until now spoke up, "But what about Yun'er? Will we ever catch the perpetrator and avenge him?"

"I know how you feel but right now we can't make any moves. Chen Ming is monitoring us. If we make a move, he will likely borrow the power of the Empire to to suppress us. Not to mention we are just a Sage orthodoxy but the Chen clan is a Sovereign mage orthodoxy." Bai Mo answered Bai Tian's question in a commanding voice.

"We will investigate this matter after the selection is over. For now, pour all your resources on other talented juniors of the clan and have them prepared for tomorrows selection." Bai Mo ordered the elders of the clan.

It was obvious this incident was not over any time soon. Bai Tian kept quiet but hatred and rage visible on his face. Bai Mo sighed. Bai Tian was likely to develop heart demons because of this incident.
