Boomer Birds!

For the whole night, Elias kept up with the constant attacks. But something told him that it won't be that easy next time—this might be just a probe!

For that, he made more preparations and repaired many traps when the sun rose.

While Elias was preparing for his next interaction with Birds of Prey, Helen was starting to perform her First Trial.

Unlike Elias and alike who were forced to do things by Force and Pain, Helen and alike in Green Trial were nurtured gradually with care.

Even the welcome note differs—the Red Trials;

~WILL YOU SURVIVE THE FOG~

It was just stating a question that needed no answer—the Green Trial was begging them to survive;

~PLEASE SURVIVE THE FOG~

The Greenlanders knew about the Yellow and Red but those on those Trials have no such knowledge.

Elias inhaled with difficulty, his body was riddled with holes and he was bleeding.

[Great Healing Trait Activated]

And with that a few seconds later, the blood stopped coming out. He looked around his underground Bunker hoping there were no more of those Birds and he found the floor was littered with those tiny Birds, the size of Grasshoppers.

[Harpoon Bird]

[They are very small, with long, firm, sharp beaks with a hook. If they pierced flesh, they use their legs to jerk back, and the sharp hook will yank more flesh.]

Apart from their small size and their sharp-hook beak, they have a certain level of Fire Resistance.

Elias' fire and explosion were useless against them and even the shock waves only disoriented them for some seconds. What was worse was their small size which allowed them to pass through small crevices and holes.

During the fight, Elias has no choice but to close his airways in the underground Bunker and also removed his armour, because they slipped through the armour and punctured him from the inside, while he found it difficult to stop them.

After his wounds were closed, no longer bleeding, he crawled out from the Bunker, the Morning Sun kissed his skin. With Omni-view he observed what became of his precious Island.

It was a mess!

Four Giant Birds, 2 of them covered in Metallic Feather, and 2 of them lean swan-like body figures, but their beak was flat like a razor. Apart from that, tiny insect-sized Birds, the Harpoon Birds, littered everywhere.

Four Slimes were busy rolling around, taking them in and digesting them.

Elias' mouth twitched, "These bastards are coming out now?"

But he stared at their method of digesting.

Their bodies were jelly-like, as they rolled, their body pressed on the Harpoon Birds underneath them and their slimy body pulled them into the thick body and then moved to the centre of the body. There, at the centre of the jelly body, was more corrosive than anywhere.

Elias observed the Birds body bubbling and reducing in size, he shook his and looked around, the whole Island was wrecked. No building, two-meter in size, was standing straight.

The redeemable part was that thanks to all the death, his stamina has increased thus he wasn't dead tired.

After eating food he began to work.

He plucked and stored the black metal feathers. Then he started creating something that might buy him time, but he can never complete it in a single day.

Nevertheless, he set it in motion before repairing the traps that can work and making new ones. Thanks to his wishes, firewood was given in droves with 80% Wure Liquid content.

In his blindness with no active Omni-view, Elias took the wood and shook them. They were 150cm long and 20cm wide. Each one was very heavy.

He shook the log and the tumbled of liquid was heard inside and with a slight press, Elias knew that the liquid would be sprayed out as the wood was thin and the rest was Wure Liquid.

With a smile, Elias continued to work!

The same dreaded feeling enveloped Elias, the more time passed until sunset and the sky was blanketed with tiny Birds, the size of his finger.

And they dived down, the moment it was just a streak of red light from the West. As they pass Elias Fog, he sensed them and ran back into his underground Bunker

Boom!

Colliding with the Dome, a finger-sized bird exploded. And the strength of that explosion was one 10th of a grenade, Elias surmised—and then, thousands of those descended!

Sensing the nature of their attacks, Elias must play it safe. He seeped back the Fog and used Telekinesis to raise the Dust Cloud.

When the Dome was about to collapse due to continuous explosion, Metal Dust seeped out very fast and spread everywhere, the wind, and the explosion shock wave forced the Dust Cloud to vibrate and rotated fast—and—the finger size Birds were immediately scratched, scraped and then—a flashed of explosion happened with a chain reaction as they began to detonate!

Far above them, there was a Bird of the same species, observing, trying to discern what kind of trick the Creative Bipedal Beast used. As it watched the death of its tiny brethren, it glanced at the culprit then it dived down.

At that moment, Elias back crawled with chills and he felt that danger was approaching!

He pulled a lever, and ten rectangular boxes sprang out of the sand, from every angle of the island, and they opened, each containing, large steel arrows embedded in a shooting mechanism—and they shot in every direction—extremely fast!

Booooom!

The sky lit up as the steel arrows pierced through the Birds that weren't harmed by the Dust Cloud—and—the big Bird was riddled with holes by the steel arrows too and exploded, killing many of its Brethren.

Its explosions were so strong that the shock wave affected those that were far from its point. And another chain reaction of explosion arose that lit the Dark Night.

Half of the Boomer Birds were annihilated!

[Boomer Bird]

[A Bird that can combust their blood and flesh to flames, at will, or when they sustain heavy injury. They can also explode at will. Their droppings are good for raising Chili based vegetables.]

That might seem like a great victory, however, there were 10 more large Birds ready to dive down. And there were countless other smaller Birds.
