First Dungeon Part 2

It's been half an hour since Mark entered the <Dungeon>, which was also the limit for Truck-kun to stay in his current form. Other than the three <Blobs>, he had killed 2 more <Blobs>, 6 <Black Blobs>, and 10 <Blue Blobs>.

Each <Blob> gave him 15 EXPS each, the <Black Blobs> 20 EXPS each, while the <Blue Blobs> gave him 27. All of them were higher level than him, which Mark was certain that gave him some extra EXPS.

He earned 546 EXPS in total, which was enough for him to reach level 3. He probably could level up more, but he hadn't encountered as many enemies as he had hoped, and given that he still earned extra EXPS from them, he was lower level than them still.

Mark got out of the truck as it got smaller and smaller, as parts of it started folding inside each other. In a matter of seconds, the large truck had turned into the form of a small old design phone.

"No matter how glorious it felt to return to my proper form, returning to this one is true hell. So you better continue to level up and buy my <Truck Transformation> Upgrade."

Mark, on their search over where to use the crystal, had checked the <Truck Upgrades> part of his [Store]. It looked to work similarly to his <Driver Skills>, although it was abilities for Truck-kun instead of one.

As for the one Truck-kun referred to, it was one that Mark had to admit he wanted to gain, but he couldn't. In the end, it cost 12 <Truck Coins> since it was a C-Rank Upgrade. The costs were like his Skills, and he was currently limited to buying only D-Ranks, whose price was between 1 and 4 <Truck Coins>.

Now that Mark had leveled up, he had some decisions to make. First, he had earned 6 <Stats Points>, three for each level, which he could use to increase his Main Stats.

The only stat he couldn't use it, though, was <Luck> as it was something that the System couldn't manipulate, apparently. Of course, that added to how precious his <Rabbit's foot> was, as it did something the System itself could do, even if he got it through the System.

Mark kept thinking of the [Status] and everything as part of a System like in the games, even if Truck-kun kept mentioning that it was just the creation of beings of greater power etc.

But he hadn't only earned the <Stats Points> from leveling up and one <Truck Point>. So he made it when he reached level 2, but he didn't get one when he reached level 3.

According to the System and Truck-kun, there were two ways to use <Truck Points>. Either to level up his Skills or to buy Skills instead of <Truck Coins>.

To level up a Skill, he needed as many <Truck Points> as its cost in Store in <Truck Coins>. That meant that both his <Appraisal> and <Minor Energy Manipulation> needed a single <Truck Point> for each level. So, for example, if he had taken something that cost like 3 <Truck Coins>, he would need 3 <Truck Points> for each level.

It was a helpful way to level up Skills that were harder to do so or to boost new Skills he would gain later, saving him time. That was why he decided not to use his <Truck Point>, especially since he only had one, which wouldn't make that much of a difference.

He kept using his Skills while he drove around, but they didn't level up that much. His <Minor Energy Manipulation> was currently on lvl 24, while his <Appraisal> was at 26. For them to reach <Master State> he needed to get level 75, so using his single <Truck Point> on them would be a waste for now.

As for his <Stat Points>, he was uncertain what he needed. Since he had no weapons, he had to face his foes with his fists and kicks. Increasing his <Power> would increase the damage he dealt that way.

If he increased his <Agility> he would be faster, making more hits in a shorter time, running away if needed, and even dodging incoming attacks. <Defence> would decrease the impact the attacks would have on him, while <Endurance> would increase his HP and SP. More HP meant more hits he could handle, and more SP told him he could keep fighting for more time, as it would be a strenuous physical activity.

<Mind> was the only one Mark wasn't sure would be helpful. It clearly had helped strengthen his Skills, but both weren't combat-oriented.

He wanted to ask Truck-kun for advice, but soon as he turned into his mobile form, he said he would enter a hibernate state.

In the end, after a lot of staring over his [Status], Mark made a decision and used 4 of his <Stats Points>, making all of his stats except his <Luck> to be 11. Then he used one more at his <Agility> and one more on his <Defence>.

Even if the way he had killed his enemies till now was by driving over them, he still had the chance to learn a few things about them. Not all of them blended with the environment, and the ones he saw didn't seem quick. But even if their reflex wasn't that fast, Mark had to be careful and use the advantage of speed, which was why he increased his <Agility>.

Increasing his <Defence> by two was a fail-safe since it was the first time he had fought a monster like that in real life. He also increased <Power> and <Endurance> since their benefits wouldn't be useless in this battle.

He then reread his whole [Status] to check every change.

So Mark focused on using <Appraisal> and <Minor Manipulation Skill> to find any enemies. Of course, both weren't supposed to work like that, but Mark had found some loopholes.

His <Appraisal> wasn't able to get any information out of <Blobs> since they weren't objects but living creatures. But he would get a notification telling him that what he tried to appraise couldn't be targeted by his Skill, which was the same as telling him it was slime.

As for his <Minor Energy Manipulation>, he noticed something while he drove around and kept using the Skill to level it up. Whenever the <Blobs> saw him, and they tried to hide, a small amount of energy surrounded their body before it disappeared, as also their body from his sight. It was a camouflage ability, though, as they were still there in the end for Truck-kun to drive over them before getting the chance to get out of his way.

Even if the energy wasn't detectable by his Skill all the time. He could only, at the beginning phase of its camouflage, but it was at least something he could use.

It didn't take him long to detect one, which, unfortunately, he couldn't tell what kind it was, as it finished camouflaging itself before he could tell its colour. <Blobs> were brown, like most of the floor, while <Black Blobs>, as their name suggested, were Dark Coloured, being able to blend in the Dark better. <Blue Blobs> were, of course, blue, which made Mark wonder what other colour ones existed.

Mark made his way toward the direction where he noticed the creature while keeping his guard up. He currently didn't know where the creature was, but he was positive it would attack him. They tried to avoid Truck-kun, but since he wasn't a large truck that could splat them with his wheels, he doubted the creature wouldn't take the chance.

Even if Mark didn't know if those creatures needed food to survive, he wouldn't fall victim to anyone like that. Especially to a Slime, as only noobs died from them.

Mark kept using his Skills, as anything that could give him even a second of preparation could make a difference. Finally, as he was just a little less than a meter from where he first detected his target, he got a notification he had looked for.

<Appraisal> Skill can't be used on this target

As the notification appeared, reading not even half of it, Mark attacked at the port where he had used his Skill and failed. However, he had already picked some smaller stones that were around, so he threw one of them toward that space. It didn't take long enough for a creature to appear for Mark to clearly see it.

This was the closest he was to a <Blob>, but Mark was confident that he hadn't encountered that one before. The reason was that its colour was red.

And soon, there was another change, as Mark started feeling the surrounding temperature increase. Then the amorphous <Red Blob>, which Mark decided to call it, took another form, which Mark was surprised to see and scared of.

'Is that a freaking flamethrower?'
