My System was Muted!

In a realm where folks wielded unique "Goldfingers," fonts of magical prowess, Lucas Evercrest remained blissfully unaware of his own exceptional potential. Little did he fathom that he harbored this incredible power deep within, an untapped wellspring. While others soared to grand heights, Lucas inadvertently subdued his Goldfinger, leaving him stranded at the humbling level 1, watching as his peers flourished. One fateful night, enveloped in the haze of sleep deprivation, our unsuspecting protagonist's world shifted. Battling to embrace slumber's embrace, he carelessly brushed against the "Mute Notifications" icon on his Goldfinger's interface before drifting into dreams' embrace. Seasons swept by like leaves on the wind, and there he stood, drowning sorrows in whiskey's amber embrace and endless loaves of bread, mourning an elusive system he believed had passed him by. Amid the din of a bar, laughter rippled like an unsteady melody. Echoes of "Status Open" danced in the air, chanted by playful kids, each repetition a chorus of mockery. Weariness pressed his head against the bar's cool surface, a failed shield against the jeers and japes. "Status Open, Status Open, Status Open," he muttered, lips grazing the wood, words coated in a blend of irony and irritation. And then, as if summoned by this weary incantation, a radiant cerulean window materialized before him. Within its luminescence, Lucas Evercrest's identity flickered, inscribed alongside his meager statistics: "[Lucas Evercrest], [Level 1 [^], Job: Starter], [HP: 1220, MP: 123], [Str:84, Agi:93, Int:43, Ins:23, Wis:53, Def:32, Sta:45, Dex:32, Con: 122]." Details unfurled like a tapestry, revealing a mosaic of attributes. His handiwork, etched in the fabric of his being, began to come to light. The window whispered of abilities and names, secrets shrouded in cryptic notation: "[Abilities: Open to show more.], [Titles: Open to show more.]" Yet even amidst this revelation, a sobering truth lingered – his status, labeled "Intoxicated," stood as a stark reminder of his present condition. Experience, captured within the confines of "EXP: 100/100," hinted at untapped potential, awaiting the spark of realization. An "Inventory" beckoned, promising more to explore, yet the ever-watchful "Missed Notifications" count of "99+" bore the mark of silence, a testament to a bygone era when his Goldfinger's voice remained muted. And so, in the quiet hum of the bar, amidst the ebb and flow of laughter and life, Lucas Evercrest's journey unfurled anew. The forgotten Goldfinger, once stifled by his own inadvertence, stood poised to rewrite his destiny, as he grasped the reigns of his dormant power, eager to ascend beyond the confines of level 1 and embrace the legacy that had patiently awaited his awakening. *This synopsis was written by someone else who wishes to remain Anonymous, thank you to who did it.* *Title is pending for the cover.*

~~City of Asgard, Reborn Hill, the next morning, Eric Winchester~~

As the sun rises over the dark blue horizon a dark-skinned individual wearing a robe stands over a sleeping Lucas with their arms crossed.

Their green eyes glared at the sleeping man like it was pruding them; before they crouched down, reached into their coat pocket, and pulled out a wire hook.

"That Death Dog knocked him out right... I gotta search him and leave then I'll finally be part of my dream job..."

The man removed their robe revealing their blonde hair and attached a small device to the inside of their ear before increasing a notch on it. "Just to be sure..."

[<Sense Relocation> has been activated. Decreasing Sense of 'Hearing' to increase Sense of 'Vision'.]

[<Sleight 10 of Hand> has been activated. Dexterity and Motor Control have risen by 45%.]

[<Sense Blindness> has been activated. Target 'Lucas Evercrest' has had their Sense of 'Touch' heavily dulled.]

"Alright, I got this..." Eric slowly inserted the wire hook into Lucas's leg while staring at the wire. "Just a few more seconds..."

Blood started seeping out of the wound and clung to the wire hook, getting stuck to it as it was pulled out, the leg quickly creating a scab.

The man placed his finger on the device he put in his ear before speaking firmly, "Sample received, beginning extraction."

The wire hook and blood disappeared with a blue glow as it was put into the inventory.

"I'll finally get you out on this Lucas... You Druggie!" Eric threw his arms out while shouting out loud.

Eric began falling back slightly and tried to reorient himself as he fell backward by swinging his arms. "WohohoaHAa!.. phew."

"I'll finally get to be the Captain of the Silver Pegasus! Hahahaha!" He began walking away with a skip in his step, this is the happiest he's been for a while.

As the man walked away, the effects of the person behind them began wearing off. "Grnz..."

[Target 'Lucas Evercrest' has resisted continuation of <Sense Blindness>; Sense of 'Touch' is being restored.]

"What?! Nononononono! Don't do it now!" Eric froze a little on the outside. 'After all, if the senses get returned to normal he'll wake up from shock!'

Eric lowered his body and kicked off the ground, trying to silently run away as fast as he could. 'Come on come on! I need to go faster!' Eric kept running as he didn't want to face "Lucas The Giant Evercrest"

"You don't want to face the person who defeated Seven White Wolves on his own... Should I pretend nothing happened?" Eric was debating with himself, looking down at the ground briefly slowing down.

"No! Just keep running, your dream depends on this!" He shook his head heavily and resolved himself to do this, he didn't wanna try doing this again after a failure, the only reason he succeeded this time was that a death dog cursed him before he defeated it!

~~Lucas Evercrest~~

Behind him, Lucas Evercrest began waking up. The resting man turned over a few times before slowly getting up and falling back down. "Mhmmm. grn.. Five more minutes..."

Lucas was tiredly mumbling with his face in the dirt before suddenly jolting upwards. "GA-!"

"My leg! What the hell... What happened?!" Lucas grabbed onto his leg tightly as the scab began crusting over, the scab broke from this action and blood began seeping out once again.

Lucas began looking around wondering what attacked him in his sleep before seeing the puddle of blood on the ground, however, it wasn't his but rather the Death Dog's Blood from before.

"What the hell! Who did this?!" Lucas locked eyes with a person in the Distance fleeing the scene, that being Winchester with his hair flowing while he ran.

He grasped tightly onto his sheath and removed it from his back, pushing himself up with it before stumbling his way onto his legs, he started leaning forward and supported himself with the sheath.

Lucas steadied himself and unsheathed his blade, revealing a light blue sword slowly glowing more and more as it was unsheathed. "I didn't have a good chase for a while, my muscles are already tensing up!"

"Let's go!"

[<Chuck > has activated. Your throwing speed has increased by 50%.]

~~Eric Winchester~~

[<Heightened Senses> has automatically activated. You have gained access to secondary senses.]

[<Protection Instinct> has automatically activated, you will temporarily lose control of your body.]

Eric suddenly tripped and tumbled forward as he felt an intense bloodlust come from behind him.

As Eric's body fell forward a bright object flew right above his head, where it was mere moments ago. "What the hell!" He grabbed onto his head to make sure he wasn't injured.

He looked back and saw a burly man sprinting towards him at full speed while stumbling slightly every few steps, he was holding a gilded sheath as his blue eyes stared amusingly at him, he still felt suffocatingly small in front of the man despite him being half a kilometer away.

Eric shuddered deeply before scrambling upwards onto his legs; leaning forward and barely stopping his legs from collapsing. `I feel like I'm facing a Scarlet Bear! Why is there so much pressure coming from him?!`

Eric noticed something. `Wait... Where's his sword?` Eric looked around weirdly while trying to keep his guard up before noticing the glowing object that nearly beheaded him earlier.

"HE THREW HIS SWORD FROM THAT DISTANCE?!" Eric shrieked in surprise.

Eric looked back at Lucas who was now only a quarter kilometer away and quickly grabbed the sword from the ground, holding it awkwardly, trying to support the weight of the sword with his back instead of legs, resulting in a weird posture where he leans backward slightly.

His legs bent back to try and support the sword's abnormal weight and he fumbled around a bit before finally finding the correct posture, sweating heavily.

"The hell's this thing made out of, Dragon Bone?" Eric asked no one in particular.

The sword's bright blue slowly dimmed, as the large edge faced Lucas. The greatsword was a great burden to Eric's dodge and weave battle style; but the fact Protection Instinct activated just from him THROWING the sword, he was pretty sure this was the only way to try and escape punishment.

As Lucas approached from the front, his eyes narrowed and he lifted the gilded sheath above him, stumbling a few times but immediately catching himself, he kept his momentum despite his mistakes and jumped into the air.

"Take this, you Bastard!"
