How To Make A Person Blacken (Arc 2)

Just like before, there were three tasks displayed in front of him, each with a different difficulty level. The first task was relatively easy, but the other two tasks were a bit harder.

No, the last task was definitely impossible to be done.

Feng Yongrui ignored the other two tasks and did the first task with gusto. Anyway, it was normal for a baby to burp after drinking milk or something like that. Feng Yongrui received five points after completing the mission and quietly swapped places with his doppelganger.

The first notification told him that he had completed the medium task and earned 5 points, whereas the second notification informed him that Yin Longshen's blackening value had changed.

Feng Yongrui blinked his eyes three times in disbelief. Yin Longshen's blackening value had risen to -18%! How could this be?!

"System, System! Hurry and tell me what happened! Why is the protagonist suddenly blackening??" Feng Yongrui cried.

"Host, do you really think I know?" the System scoffed. "The protagonist is currently in school right now... Maybe you should ask him when he gets home."

With a broken voice, Yin Longshen began talking in a muffled voice. After listening to Yin Longshen's tearful story, Feng Yongrui finally understood what had happened.

Yin Longshen had been sent to a school for rich children, but of course, those rich children knew that he was actually an illegitimate child. They did not like him at all, isolated him, and now they were starting to bully him openly.

The teachers knew that Yin Qiushan did not really care about him, and they did not want to offend Zhao Baozhai or the Zhao family, so the teachers decided to ignore the bullying.

Today, Yin Longshen was hit a lot by his fellow classmates, but he was really angry when they told him that his mother was a shameless gold-digger. Yin Longshen was angry, but he couldn't do anything except cry.

Feng Yongrui had had a hard time trying to think of ways to make Yin Longshen blacken, but now, he had already come up with several ideas.

First of all, he would try to push Yin Longshen from the stairs. Actually, Feng Yongrui didn't really like this method. You could call him a coward or you could say he was softhearted, but Feng Yongrui really couldn't stand hurting a kid like that.

Also, if Yin Longshen was really pushed down the stairs, he might have lasting trauma. He would become a cripple forever, staining his life for good.

If possible, Feng Yongrui wanted Yin Longshen to blacken without becoming a cripple forever, and without getting too hurt.

It was quite a selfish wish, but Feng Yongrui couldn't help it.

He had already thought of several ways to make Yin Longshen blacken without hurting him too much.

One way was to get closer to him (with the identity of Yin Yongrui, his step-brother), and then betray him someday.

Another method was by helping Yin Longshen establish his own company, and then stealing his company secrets. When Yin Longshen found out about it, he was bound to be furious.

And since Yin Longshen seemed like the type to care a lot regarding family relationships, if Feng Yongrui betrayed and hurt him like this, wouldn't Yin Longshen blacken eventually?

The last method Feng Yongrui had thought of was to hurt himself. This method was a really complicated one. He would get closer to Yin Longshen, and then make someone hurt him (Feng Yongrui).

When Yin Longshen found out that his brother had been hurt by others, wouldn't he blacken?

Of course, this method was risky. If Yin Longshen found out that Feng Yongrui had hired people to hurt himself, Yin Longshen might get confused.

Hurting himself was also risky -- if he got hurt but the protagonist didn't blacken, wouldn't he be getting hurt for no reason?

With that thought in mind, Feng Yongrui decided to observe the protagonist first, and then decide which method was the most suitable to use.

Back to the present, Yin Longshen's heart was lighter because he had poured out his feelings to the ghost in his arms. He sniffled a few times, and Feng Yongrui reached out with his small hand and wiped his tears away.

Yin Longshen found it really strange. Unlike the dead, this ghost's hand was really warm...

The warmth was even spreading to his heart.

How odd.

But... it wasn't a bad feeling.

Feng Yongrui comforted the young protagonist as best as he could, but when nighttime came, Feng Yongrui decided to leave. It would be better if he left first, so that Yin Longshen could also rest.
