Han Ya had come only to investigate the situation at the Red Fortress and had no intent to sightsee. The eerie atmosphere inside the castle had always given her a sense of unease, so she decided to leave as soon as possible. However, as she left the ballroom and headed toward the second floor, intending to walk along the corridor to a balcony to check out the outside, she was suddenly grabbed from behind, her mouth and nose covered, and quickly rendered unconscious.
