By the time that she returned to her little shed, she was already soaking wet. Beth was feeling a little dizzy and her stomach was making weird sounds. She closed the beaten metal door behind her and sighed, tiredly removing her clothes and putting it in the bucket of water that was kept just beside the door. With only a thin shift covering her, she climbed on the bed with what little energy she had left.
The blanket was too thin to keep her warm. The cold winds that raged outside, controlling the flow of rain, pushed through the cracks of the shabby abode, making her shiver. Her lips were slowly turning blue and the sound of her teeth chattering filled her ears, She could feel another fever breaking out slowly.
