Lucifer tried to connect those chains. He even tied the chains together but no matter what he did, her heart didn't start beating. At this moment, his eyes fell on something else.

It was her Grimoire.

It was still brightly shining but as time passed, it started losing its brightness. Seeing it, Lucifer thought 'This must be the reason why her soul is still there. But slowly, it will lose all of its power and the soul will leave her body.'

He held the right heart that was still beating in his one hand and then took out Lucy's heart that wasn't beating. Then, he put his right heart in that exact place.

It moved to her heart and closely chained the heart. Even though it was still beating and it was still healthy.

The other part of the chain returned to the Grimoire.

Seeing that, Lucifer opened his mouth unable to say anything for a long time.

Lucifer looked at the Grimoire which was slowly retaining its Dark Red color and spoke. He didn't know what to say. Now, it wasn't just her life that was at stake.

If she dies, he will die as well.
