Different World

Nature's calling woke her up too early in the morning. Cassie strode to the bathroom, yawning and rubbing both eyes to see her way to the restroom inside this vast bathroom.

She was still half-sleep. That's why she reacted late. She stared blankly at a man who looked surprised to see her entering the bathroom. She can't react fast. She can't scream either, but only inside her head.

Ah! She turns around and reaches for the knob to go out, but it won't open! What's wrong with this door!? Cassie stressed out inside her head. She tried to grab it forcibly. But why does this door have a complicated knob from the usual?! She sighed. 

How embarrassing it was... Of course, she never thought Shun was already awake this hour. My goodness. Trapped in the bathroom with him first thing in the morning is so bad in the heart.

"Do you need to use the restroom?" asked Shun behind her.

Shun is so close! She could smell his shower gel, the same scent as the pillows on the bed. Tying her best to settle her heart, Cassie nodded. Still, she can't move her feet, and she never dares to glance in his direction.

"I'm done with my shower. I'll get out first." Shun's sexy voice is echoing inside this bathroom, like those times they've talked on the phone, and she is using a headset.

"Okay," Cassie replied. She notices that her voice is shaking.

"Cassandra?"

"Huh?" she replied absentmindedly.

"The door."

"Oh..." She was still holding the doorknob! She let it go and moved a little on the side.

"This door will be auto-locked once it closes and after the sensor detects a person inside."

Shun holds the knob and presses something on it.

"Oh, I see... this could be possible. I didn't know," she mumbles, biting her lower lip from nervousness.

"Like a panicked room, yes. Rudolf, who designs the system."

"I see. Brother Rudolf is amazing. Brother Daichi too..."

Cassie waited for him to speak again, but Shun stayed silent. Besides, why are they having casual talk inside the bathroom? Isn't it weird?

That first thing in the morning, their first conversation is inside the bathroom. Who're people doing that?

"Cassandra."

"Hmm?" She was forced to glance at him. Good thing, now he is wearing a bathrobe, hiding his six-pack abdomen.

"The door would hit you if I open it."

"Huh? Oh..." She realizes she was too close to the door! Cassie moves backward to give a space for Shun to get out.

"Okay, you can use the restroom now," Shun said before closing the door.

Ah! She screamed in her hand. That was so embarrassing! But she can't forget Shun's face. It shocked him to see her suddenly enter the room. Ah, indeed, he did not expect this to happen. It was his bathroom, after all. She has to be careful next time. Argh... her heart beating so fast, she can't remember if she saw anything.

After she uses the toilet, she washes her hands and her face many times. She stayed inside to give Shun time to wear clothes.

"Cassandra?" Shun knocks on the door.

She stares at her reflection in the mirror, her face still red. 

"Are you okay?"

She opened the door and replied, "Um, I am brother Shun."

"Good. Let's now have breakfast."

She nodded, then followed him outside. While having their breakfast, one of Shun's men announces Anna's arrival.

"Good morning, brother Shun!" a beautiful woman entered the room. Cassie recognizes her from the TV.

"Good morning, Anna. Sorry to trouble you early in the morning."

"Of course, it's not a problem!" David, who answered. He was carrying some boxes.

"I also brought a coat in case you will go outside. News reports it will rain for several days," said Anna.

"That's good. Thank you, Anna."

"You are very welcome, brother Shun," Anna responded to Shun, then shifted her attention to Cassie. "Hi! I'm Anna," she stretched her hand.

Shyly, Cassie accepts Anna's hand. "Hello, sister Anna."

"Ah... like what Blaire said, you are so beautiful! You can be a supermodel!"

"Ahem..." Shun clears his throat. But he was like sending a message, and he didn't like the idea. Later, he introduces Cassandra to David.

"Cassandra, this is David Lawrence, Kier's younger brother."

"Good morning, brother David," she greeted him.

"Good morning, Cassie. I finally met you!" David smiles widely.

She partly bowed. But it confused her. Why does everyone say "finally"? Maybe it was brother Daichi who mentioned her to them.

"Oh, well... we won't stay longer. I'll drop Anna back to the mall after here."

"Mall?" Cassie's eyes lighten up. She only saw the biggest mall in Mainland City on the TV.

"Yes, Cassie. We have a store in the biggest mall in Mainland City. These clothes are displayed in the mall. If you have time, you can visit our store."

"Okay!" She answered excitedly. She doesn't have many memories of going to any mall in Mainland City. Usually, she only goes to another city, the nearest land from Hiryuu Island, but a little farther in Mainland City.

Not long after, the couple left. "Goodbye, Cassie... brother Shun."

After Anna and David left, Cassie began checking the shopping bags. The fabric of the clothes is nice and soft. She checked another bag, and she saw some undergarments. She quickly closes it.

"We are going to a nearby hospital to examine your head if you did not get any serious injury. Wear warm clothes." 

"Oh, right? There is a typhoon coming, said the fishermen in the port."

Shun's face twitches. What if Cassie is caught in terrible weather? No. He can't imagine it.

Cassie sat up from the couch and looked outside from behind the curtain. Heavy rains start pouring, and dark clouds cover the city.

"I'll go get change, brother Shun," she announced after checking the weather.

"Okay. I'll help you bring the boxes."

She only took a half bath as she couldn't soak her wounds yet. She tried to choose an appropriate dress for the weather. Since a hospital they'll be going to, she just needs a simple one. It impressed her how Anna knew her sizes, from her panties and brassiere then pants. Sister Blaire must be the one who told Anna. She thought.

She saw a high collar, long sleeve dress, and was below her knee... but too formal to go to the hospital. She ended up wearing jeans paired with a turtle neck white long sleeve.

Cassie opened a shoebox and found a wedge boot. She was so happy. It was so beautiful! She also found some make-up kits, but she doesn't know if she should wear one her age. She uses the lip tint she found.

Cassie stepped out of the bedroom, and five pairs of eyes were looking in her direction. She suddenly felt anxious.

"Good morning, Missy!" It was Daichi who first greeted her.

"Good morning, brother Daichi," she greeted him back, then nodded at the rest of the men.

"Are you ready?" Shun asked Cassie. His eyes were glued to her face.

Cassie notices how Shun gazed at her. Blushing, she replied. "Yes, brother Shun."

"You can wear your coat now."

"Oh, okay." Cassie quickly wears the coat, and Shun reaches for the hood to cover her head.

"Let's go, then."

She was unconscious when she arrived at the hotel, so; she didn't see the suite's interior. But she only saw a little as Shun brought her to a private elevator down to a private parking lot. The area has different cars parked throughout the entire space, and most seem expensive. 

Daichi chose a Mercedes-Benz Maybach, the latest one, then the car Mr. Jing drove her to school. Shun opens the door and holds her head not to bump into the car while she gets inside. Still, his gestures surprised her.

Not only that, but his men around him and the top-secret monitoring team were also surprised how their boss could be this protective of someone other than her sister.

The car is now exiting the hotel. She looks outside her window, but she can't see the view of the city because of the heavy rains.

As they step inside the hospital building, they get everyone's attention. Walking ahead are Shun's five bodyguards, and behind them are another five men. Shun and brother Daichi are walking by her side. It covers her. She's confused, but maybe this is the way a President of a big corporation enters a building.

Shun is living in a different world from her. There is an enormous gap in between. She sighed from this thought.

Whenever he goes, he is like a celebrity. She is just an ordinary person, and he is like a king.
