Artie's eyes widened like she just caught her husband red-handed. However, her brain kicked in after the first three seconds of staring at them. Larkin might not have told her everything about him, and there were also things that she couldn't understand. However, her personal experience had only shown her a loyal friend at least. He shouldn't be capable of doing this to her.
Moreover, Larkin just married and had his wedding night with a young woman—one young enough to be his daughter even. Why would he suddenly want an old woman?
