The next morning came faster than he expected. Just the night passed in a glimpse before that annoying alarm rang loudly and awakened him.
"Damn! I should have slept a few more hours," he yawned lazily while trying to get out of his bed.
<Ding! Stop being lazy and get up. You need to travel soon>
"I know," Aroon yawned again before heading to wash his face.
"Oh, you are gathering early this morning," as he reached the bottom of the tent, he was surprised to see the three girls staying there.
"We needed to have a word with someone," Arora said while giving Anna a side glance.
"Mark, isn't it?" Aroon casually said before heading to the microwaves. He got his breakfast as instant noodles plus a big mug of coffee to help him wake up.
"That idiot is still persisting on looking for that mecha," Anna aggressively said.
"Good to hear he is still an idiot," Aroon sneered while eating his breakfast under the watchful eyes of the girls.
"Aren't you worried about him?" Cheryl suddenly asked, "I mean you are stronger than Mark but in front of a mecha… No fallen person can stand a chance."
"He needs to find him first," Aroon wanted to laugh but he didn't. "Let him chase the rainbow, I won't waste my time on him."
"You are talking like he would never find him," Anna said with a doubtful tone. She even gave him a deep glance out of her suspicion.
"That mecha wasn't seen by many, a ghost in my opinion," Aroon slowly said.
"People might be confused about us, but not for a mecha," she slowly said while her eyes narrowed. "Do you know something we don't?" she said what she had in mind.
"How can I know such a thing?" he shrugged before a ding occurred and the voice of the system rang in his ears.
<Ding! It's time to receive your next mission boy>
"Where are you going?" Cheryl asked the moment he went back to the microwaves and started filling his backpage.
"I'll take a walk outside," he simply said while filling the packbag with food.
"What are you planning to do?" Arora asked while watching him in curious eyes.
He was obviously planning to go outside for a long time in their opinion.
"I'm going to take a tour over the area," he simply said before throwing the bag over his shoulder, "wish me luck."
"Wait," Cheryl hurriedly stopped him as she stood up, "I'll come with you."
"No need," he stopped her.
"But…" she paused while looking at the other two girls who only sighed.
"She is right," Anna said, "things might get risky outside."
"I doubt that," Aroon walked towards the door, "as you all know, dungeons won't pop up except once in a week."
"But…" Cheryl had to stop what she was going to say as Aroon passed through the door and didn't even stop to speak to her.
"Anna will take my place here for now," were the last words he said before vanishing behind the door.
"Does he look… a little different to you?" Cheryl asked in concern.
"He is the same old Aroon to me," Anna shrugged, "the one who beat the crap out of Mark and led us to save the people yesterday."
"Oh, someone has become his admirer," Arora teased her while winking. Yet all she got was a glaring look from her friend.
"I'll keep an eye on him," Cheryl decided to follow him.
"Are you stalking him now?" Arora teased her.
"Stop it," she reprimanded him.
"Just don't be late," Anna shouted from behind, "we have a lot of things to do."
"I won't," she said before closing the door and running after Aroon.
<Ding! Your next mission is assigned.>
<Ding! At the Rotan town, a dungeon is about to appear in the next few hours. Your mission is to kill all the monsters and mine all the ores from inside.
Mission rewards: Getting the upgrade function unlocked by upgrading your system grade into F-VI rank plus twenty coins and twenty experience points.
Mission failure: You'll lose all the coins you got and the market will be locked once again."
"Sounds like a piece of cake," Aroon went to the outer region of the devastated town very easily, yet he failed to notice his stalker. "Let's go then."
The next moment he unleashed his full speed and power. The next thing happened for him to cross a very vast area of ground within mere moments.
"He is… quite fast… much faster than I guessed before," Cheryl stood back while watching the long trail of dust created by Aroon, "what happened to you?" she muttered with no answers in her mind still.
"How far is that town?" Aroon asked while keeping his high speed as he moved forward.
<Ding! You can reach there in approximately two more hours… wait…>
"What?" Aroon didn't stop as he casually asked.
<Ding! This is weird> the system said, <Ding! There is another dungeon appearing nearby>
"In my town?" Aroon asked in doubt.
<Ding! No, it's in another one> the system said.
"Then what's weird about it?" Aroon shrugged as he casually continued to say, "my town was attacked and so others will. That's the typical behavior for dungeons."
<Ding! But I didn't see it coming!> the system was still perplexed about it.
"What's the problem in being wrong once for a while?" Aroon couldn't help but laugh, "that's the price of meddling with us, humans."
<…>
The system kept its silence while Aroon kept his running. He never cared about what the system said, and only cared about the world around.
This part of the world was considered one of the most fertile places in the world. And yet yellow weeds and barren lands were now covering the entire world, showing the brutal signs of the apocalypse.
Aroon didn't care about that. In fact he didn't care about this part of the world until he was forced to live in it.
<Ding! The town lies ahead of you> the system spoke finally after long hours of silence, <Ding! You need to rest for a brief period before getting there>
"Did the dungeon outbreak yet?" Aroon stopped while taking his breaths in some difficulty.
<Ding! It did a couple of minutes ago> the system answered, <Ding! But there are the local kids without systems out there to defend the town for now until you catch your breaths>
