Chapter 92: Owing the enemy

Dominic mocking applauded MiMi for her stupidity, "haha… haha! Miss WuXain I did warn you to watch what you say but…. As you see now not only have you confessed to your own crimes but your have also dragged your family into it…. What can I say but… thank you Miss MiMi WuXain" he grinned slyly looking MiMi dead in the eyes as he bowed.

MiMi stormed towards Dominic in rage raising her hands ready to slap him, "you bastard! Uh-" before MiMi's hand reached Dominic's face, Detective Bo grabbed her wrist placing her in handcuffs. "Miss MiMi WuXain I am placing you under arrest for kidnapping, sex enslavement and assault, you do not have to say thing, but anything you do say maybe be given in evidence, that includes what you just said, do you understand?" Detective Bo calmly read MiMi her rights while his colleagues also arrested Mr and Mrs WuXain.

Kang Lei watched as they escorted his long forgotten family away, disappointment and relief came over him, like any normal human being craved love, he too wanted to be loved and cared for by his family. however he felt no sympathy to seeing them being carted away, for he had long burnt that bridge between himself and the WuXain's. The name Xi WuXain was something he long placed in his past, but it doesn't stop him from feeling empty and resentful that they didn't love him as their own or how they were supposed to. Kang Lei had realised that sometimes in this world unfortunately we all must go through struggles. However, how we handles those struggles will determine what kind of person we are and Kang Lei had for many times had allowed others to mentally destroy him, to take away his sanity and see him broken and for that he was ashamed. because no matter how many scares he'll have to bare, he'll never again make someone take him away from himself.

Having been distracted by the arrest of WuXain's, Dominic and Kang Lei used the opportunity to slip away before the media had time to turn their focus onto them. In the car Kang Lei sat quietly looking out the window a million thoughts and memories running through his mind.

"Honey…" Dominic called out to him grabbing his attention, "hmmm" kang Lei turned to looked at him. "What are you thinking about?… are you upset about what I did?" Asked Dominic.

"No of course not, they deserve it, not only for what they did to me but for all the others….I…. Was just thinking about those times" he sadly replied lowering his eyes and turning to look out the window again.

"hmmmm....Can I ask you something?" Dominic asked becoming a little uneasy and gripping the steering wheel. Kang Lei presses his lips together and softly replied, "yes I knew it was you when we first meet….. The second you released your pheromones I remembered that night" Kang Lei knew instantly what Dominic wanted to know.

Dominic heart sank "Wh…why didn't you say anything, do you resent me for that night? I would understand if you do".

Kang Lei turned to see a depressed and remorseful look on Dominic's face he hated that MiMi had brought that up, "sweetheart if I resented you I wouldn't have married you and besides you were young at that time and even if you had said anything who would have cared. Look at how hard omegas have it now, image then, I would be a fool to look at the world with such cynical eyes and blame you for the wrong doing of others".

Dominic expression soften "honey I promise, I can and I will protect you from now" he said confidently. Kang Lei smiled seeing the determination in his eyes, "that's fine am married too you now, all I need do is take all your money and run away as revenge" Kang Lei lightly joked.

"You don't need to take I'll willing give it too you and my soul too" Dominic gave Kang Lei a wink making his lover smile at his always so cheesy lines.

At the busy police station where Cai Hung and his father was being held, three dominate alpha males arrived in military grade uniforms with hardened expressions on the face. "M—may I help you?" asked the front desk officer to the three males, their hardened expression sending the fear of god through his body. "We're here to see Cai Hung and His Father Hu Hung" the male in the middle the three answered expressionless. "A—am sorry but they're are allowed any visitors at the moment" replied the officer. without a word the Alpha pulled out a card that read grade five government official and gave it too the shocked officer.

"O—okay, this way sirs" the officer escorted the three men to a interview room. "We need a room with no surveillance" ordered the male to the officer, "oh-- yes of course, this way" the officer lead them to a smaller more private room with no cameras, later bringing Cai Hung and Hu Hung in to sit at the small table in the room, with both father and son hands handcuffed in front if them.

"What took you all so long" scolded Mr Hung the second he recognised who had come to visit. The Alpha looked displeasingly at them, "take a seat Mr Hung?" He ordered. "I do hope you have come to get us out and you've sorted out that unleaded dog of yours" Mr Hung said taking a seat.

"We will get to that, right now we need to know what you have said to the police?" The Alpha reminded unmoved his expression cold and dangerous, however, Mr Hung wasn't one to be easily intimidated by a cold face. "Tsk…..Nothing yet but if you all don't get us out of here fast, just one phone call and the entire world will know how corrupt you all are… if they think we're bad they would be shocked to know what the people in real power have been doing….. by the way how's that little Alpha X experiment coming along General?" A devious smirk came across Mr Hung's face, he had been sure to cover his back just in case.

The General scoffed at the confidence of this man, "I understand we'll see to it that your out by the morning" he answered, getting up and leaving the father an son feeling pleased with themselves.

"The second am out of here Dominic Lanxian is going to pay" an angry Mr Hung slammed his fist on the table.

"Father… what's Alpha X?" Cai Hung asked curious, his father smirked "its basically a human army of atomic bombs, deadly and highly dangerous, if they succeeded they would be the most feared and powerful government in the entire world" Mr Hung divulged, he himself worried, if every a day came and they succeeded in creating such a weapon, they would be creating their own races downfall.

Once Detective Bo had return back to the station he was alerted of the Hung's visitors, "did you manage to get anything from their conversation?" Detective Bo questioned the Officer who dealt with the men, "no sorry Detective they requested a private room" he answered.

"Damn it! These bastard!" Detective Bo shouted in frustration.

"Detective the Commissioner General is on the phone", one of Detective Bo's colleague called out to him, "shit!" He said running to his office to pick up his phone.

"Commissioner…. I wasn't expecting your call" Detective Bo answered awkwardly, knowing what's to come. A strong males voice came singing through the phone. "Let the Hung's out now" he ordered, a bewildered Detective Bo tired to restrain his anger, "but Sir… may I ask why".

From the other end of the phone Detective Bo heard the commissioner sigh heavily, "this is the first time I'll say this, but am sorry this ones over my head, it isn't my decision, if it were up to me they would both rot in prison, but the those in power dont want that, do you understand Detective?".

"I understand Commissioner I'll have them released" replied Detective Bo regrettably hanging up the phone.

He walked out of his office running his hands over his face depleted that all his hard work has gone down the drain and these two get to walk free to do the same things again.
