Chapter 5 dinner with the WuXain part 2

Dominic silently observing the WuXain family and wondered the reason for their visit. Mr Lanxian finally broke the silence and asked the burning question on everyone's mind.

"Mr WuXain, it's not often you grace us with your presence, how is it you're here today?" he said in a cold straight to the point kind of way.

Mr WuXain was taken aback but quickly composed himself, getting straight to the point as well,

"Well, as you know, our Mimi here has for some time favoured your Dominic. We thought today we would take the first step to see if the kids would possibly want to date and if later they were to take a liking to each other would get married. Dominic, I know your mom would love to have some grandchildren sometime soon, so what do you think?" Mr WuXain confessed proudly.

Dominic on the other hand froze Immediately gazing dangerously at the fork in his hand, daring it to move, his mother expectantly turning her focus to face him trying to gauge his reaction, Mr Lanxian intuitively spoke first.

"well that all depends on Dominic, as his parents we don't believe in forcing our children to do anything they aren't comfortable with. Though we may be happy to have grandchildren, as for the mother of those grandchildren, well that will ultimately lie with Dominic, so this matter I will leave for the children to discuss privately".

Mimi looked over at her parents with pleaded eyes. However, before her father could persuade the Lanxian's to make it a done deal, because leaving it up to Dominic to make such a decision would definitely end any possibility of their precious daughter even getting a date, Mrs WuXain quickly added.

"Kids these days are too stubborn, If we leave it up to them, I doubt we will see any little ones for many years to come, Dominic why don't you go on a date with our Mimi and see how it goes, am sure there's no harm in that right?" She expressed hoping that Mrs Lanxian would readily agree.

However, to their surprise, Mrs Lanxian was in agreement with her precious husband.

"As my darling husband has stated, this is a decision best left up to our children, why don't we leave it up to them to make further arrangements and if Dominic has taken a fancy to Miss Mimi, then we can discuss further" Mrs Lanxian calmly stated looking at her husband for reassurance.

Dominic and Michael both shared a knowing look that could only be interrupted as "are they fucking kidding??".

Mimi, with the hopes of getting some closure and securing a possible date, with the most eligible of bachelors in the country and be the envy of those in the elite circle, took the initiative to use her womanly charms to try to win Dominic over.

"I know a famous restaurant we could go to if you would like, Dominic?" she said in her most sweeties of voice.

Dominic, who was already fed up with this nonsense and had no intention of dating the likes of such a woman, released a small amount of his pheromones, sending shivers down everyone's spin, looking straight into MiMi's eyes he said coldly,

"Some gatherings are….",

However, before he could finish his sentence his mother glared at him in such a way as to say 'mind your manners they're our guest'. Dominic who could easily be overpowered by his mother's commands choked on his words and reluctantly accepted the proposal.

"I…l…mean…why don't we exchange details and arrange a date".

Michael who was unusually quiet throughout this whole ordeal chocked on the chicken finger he was wolfing down and was stunned stupid by Dominic's acceptance.

"Brother….(coughing) are you not feeling well, do... I.... I... need to call doctor Cheng?" He asked with eyes wide open and his right hand half covering his mouth…

Dominic who was already annoyed became even more so at his idiotic friend, who at times didn't know how to read a room and instead now made the situation worst.

He decided, as he didn't want to embarrass is parents by coming off cold and abrupt by flatly turning down this female succubus, he calmed his usual temperament and played along with this family facade.

For some unknown reason, he felt the need to punish this bunch and trample on their overzealous egos.

"Am simply being courteous, Michael, the Wuxian family has courageously come all this way to offer their precious daughter to me. It would be rude to decline" he replied with a slight smirk steering right into the eyes of Mimi which could be read to say "try me wench".

Mr WuXain who clearly didn't want to admit that Dominic was being Unscrupulously hostile chimed in…

"That's fanatic, see Lanxian the kids just need a little push. Am sure by the time they have a few dates and get to know each other, they will hit it right off. Our Mimi is such a loving and caring person, Dominic, am sure you'll see that soon for yourself".

"Yes… yes… you two would make a lovely pair" Mrs WuXain added with a big smile on her face.

"Mmm" expressed Mr Lanxian with a continued expressionless face, if one is not familiar with him one would find it difficult to determine what that response meant, but for those who know Mr. Lanxian well it was a simply "I beg to differ" expression…

"Wow Miss Mimi you sure are talented, you will be the first Miss to get an official date with our countries most elite alpha" clapped Michael, in a half serious yet mocking way, even though he didn't get the earlier queues, Dominic's answer to his earlier shocked outburst woke him up, and he now knew that this is all a front on Dominic's path, he has never been one to be dishonourable in the presence of his parents, he laughed inside thinking "this will be fun haha!"….
