Chase's POV

I slowly open my eyes but quickly close them from the bright lights. I brought my hand up and rub my eyes before trying to slowly open them and adjust to the light in front of my face.

I finally opened it fully and look around. I turn my head to the side and find Mason repeatedly typing on his phone with a smile on his phone. I continue looking around to see that it's only me and him in this room. I'm still in the same hospital bed. He lightly laughs and starts typing again. I decided to show him I'm awake since he wouldn't notice till tomorrow.

I clear my throat as loud as I can. His hands freezes as he slowly looks up at me. His eyes widen and he quickly got up.

/"Oh I'm sorry. Ahem, when... when did you wake?/"

/"Just now./"

/"Oh./" He said looking around avoiding my gaze and lightly kicking his leg on the floor with his both hand now folded at his back.
